There is an open-air bath and sauna, and the view from the room is of Mt. Daisen on the mountain side and Yumigahama on the sea side. The meals are buffet style, but there are so many dishes on the menu that it's impossible to finish them all. There are also plenty of menus for small children. The mini hamburgers at night and the fillet cutlet burgers in the morning are especially recommended as they are cooked right in front of you. Since it is a very large hotel, I thought the buffet might be a little crowded, but there were many seats and a wide variety of dishes, so I was able to prepare meals smoothly. I think it would be a great opportunity for children to learn about food if they were to think about what to serve, how much to serve, and how to serve it. There are many colors of tableware, so it's fun to think about which dishes to use. Since it is all-inclusive, the room rate does not depend on how many glasses of draft beer you drink. Some people were drinking whiskey, shochu, sake, and wine from breakfast.

This was my first time there, and it was better than I expected! It was simple and stylish, and didn't feel like a place you would live in. The location was also great, and even when I was in bed I could see Mt. Daisen from the window, and after walking a little I was able to refresh myself by being surrounded by nature. The amenities were not fully equipped, and there were few trash cans and clocks in the large bath and lounge, so I felt a little inconvenienced at first, but I was able to enjoy it even without them. Or rather, I didn't need them. The more they try to be polite, kind, and satisfy a wide range of ages, the less cluttered signs there are, and the more they create a high-quality space that doesn't feel like a place you live in. You can manage even without them! It's a simple, easy-to-use hotel that clears your mind and lets you refresh yourself away from the hustle and bustle. I also enjoyed the food more than I expected!! There are various seasonings and toppings, and I definitely recommend the all-inclusive option!! You can enjoy all-you-can-drink alcohol in the lounge at night.

We sincerely appreciate that you enjoyed the simple and stylish space, the beautiful view of Mt. Daisen from the window, and the location rich in nature. We are very happy that you recommended the all-inclusive plan as you enjoyed the variety of seasonings and toppings of the food. We are glad that you enjoyed the all-you-can-drink menu in the lounge at night and had a relaxing time. All our staff look forward to welcoming you again.

I booked two triple rooms, but the information received from the reservation site and the hotel was different, so one double room and one single room were prepared. After checking in, I was shown to my room, which felt strange. They quickly prepared an extra bed, towels, and in-house clothing, and the service was smooth and polite, but the information received from the hotel was different from what I had booked, so it was not a pleasant experience.

Response from Property: Thank you for using Mercure Tottori Daisen Resort & Spa. We sincerely apologize for the discrepancy between the room you booked and the room you received. We appreciate that you felt that the response was smooth and courteous when we quickly prepared an extra bed, towels, and yukata after you checked in. However, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the room you received being different from the one you booked. We intend to further improve the accuracy of our reservation system and confirmation to prevent such a thing from happening again. We will strive to provide you with a more comfortable and smooth stay the next time you use our hotel. All our staff look forward to welcoming you again.

The surrounding environment of the hotel is comfortable, and the hot spring in the hotel is good, but it is only the same hot spring, with two hours for male guests and two hours for female guests. Breakfast has a wide variety and tastes good.

酒店位於鳥取的大山半山,周邊環境清休寧靜,空氣清新。浴場有桑拿。房間空間感夠大。 但洗手間相對狹窄。房內設施陳舊。

This was my first time going to the hotel since it changed from Yamato Royal Daisen to Mercure Tottori Daisen. All the unnecessary things have been removed and it is a little bleak in places, but I didn't think it had changed much. However, the food seems to be aimed at younger people, as there was almost nothing that would suit the tastes of older people. I was surprised at the box sushi, which looked normal but the rice was so hard I wondered how much pressure had been put into it. Also, when you look at the names of the dishes, there are many things that are hard to describe, which is disappointing. It used to be much more delicious, but it's disappointing to see how much it changes when the management changes. Next time I'll stay at a place called the Grand, but the food may be the same.

This is a stay for a tour. It has the feel of a resort hotel from the Showa era and is luxurious, but the building itself is old. The room is spacious and has everything you need. The view from the window is also wonderful. You can see Mt. Daisen, the city of Sakaiminato, and Nakaumi. The breakfast and dinner meals in the large dining hall were buffet style and were very delicious. The large public bath is also spacious, and you can enjoy both indoor and outdoor baths. However, since it is located on a hill with a great view, there are no convenience stores or restaurants nearby.

There is almost no explanation about the inside of the building, and there are no detailed explanations in the room, so do you have to bring your own towel to the bathroom? Is it okay to eat in a yukata? I'm going to get my yukata in front of the elevator. Where are the amenities? The thing that disappointed me the most was that even though there were beer vending machines on each floor, there was a sign saying that beer sales had been discontinued, and it said to buy on the first floor, but when I went there, it ended at 9:00 pm. When I asked why I couldn't buy it from a vending machine, I was told that this was the rule.

I stayed for 5 consecutive nights in July on a tour that included sightseeing in the surrounding area. The Western-style room was spacious, but the building was old and the air conditioner was too effective, and there were no blankets on the bed, so I had to bring one because it was cold. Since it's old, I have an old type of key with a plate with the room number on it, and a safe key, so it can't be helped that it's bulky to carry around. When I asked if I could get ice, I was told that they sell 1 kg of ice for 300 yen at the front desk. i can't believe. When I tried to take it in a paper cup at the buffet venue, I was stopped. That means you can buy it. Dinner buffet was set for 4 out of 5 nights, but the ``seamount dish'' of half a crab and roast beef was included, but from the second meal onwards, the only thing that came with it was ``grilled turban shell'' which was cold. The next day, I only had “boiled red fish (frozen fish?)”. I've never had a dinner buffet on a tour where I've stayed for multiple nights before, but I've never been asked to change the menu to something cheaper in terms of ingredients, so what kind of treatment was this? I chose this tour because the dinner buffet looked delicious, but I'm disappointed. Another popular menu item is the Caesar salad, but the salad of boiled soybeans and konnyaku was hidden behind normal lettuce leaves, not romaine lettuce, and I was so happy when I put it in my mouth. Is Daiwa Hotel Headquarters aware that they offer this kind of menu? I regret choosing another tour. The only good thing is the staff at the front desk. They were very kind in responding to my concerns. The foreign nationals were very responsive and it was more than 4 star class.

Used this hotel with a friend for a 2 night 3 day trip to Shimane and Tottori. I made a reservation for the ``All-you-can-eat buffet of domestic beef, turban shells, and Daisen chicken'' and went to the dinner venue, but the food I was looking for was not there. When I asked the staff, they said, "That buffet is already over." Seriously, how did you manage to make a reservation for the buffet plan, which is already over? ? ? was. That's what I was looking for, and even though I booked an inconvenient hotel in the mountains. I asked the staff, but they only apologized in words. Is it a violation of the Act on Premiums and Representations? When I told him that I would like to consult with the Consumer Consultation Center, he responded with a mysteriously aggressive response. I can't help but think that they're taking advantage of the customers, and I couldn't sense any sincerity in the staff's response. The inside of the hotel, including its aging condition, is as other posters have written. It's old and dirty with stains on the floor. The only good things about it were the size of the room and the open-air bath. That's all ⭐︎2. And on the morning of check-in, the parking lot was difficult due to snow. Of course the main road had been shoveled, but the gentle slope connecting the entrance and parking lot was not shoveled to a large extent. The snow was compacted and felt slippery and dangerous. Since most of the guests are middle-aged and elderly, wouldn't it be very dangerous if the snow is not shoveled properly on such slopes? There didn't seem to be any staff members who could give that kind of attention, so I shoveled the snow myself. It looked like a big, long-established hotel, and there were tour groups there, so I honestly felt like the hotel had poor service. I don't feel like there is any corporate effort to improve the hotel's service. As other posters have written, they respond to customer feedback with a grain of salt, or from left to right. If I had read the posts here first, I wouldn't have made a reservation. It was a good learning experience. I will be contacting the Consumer Affairs Agency's Labeling Division (in charge of information management) and the Consumer Consultation Center soon. If you are thinking of staying here, we recommend that you reconsider.
