5-star personalized experience. Excellent customer service. Charming rooms. Delicious breakfasts. Responsive staff. It feels like going in a time machine at The Manor, taking you back to a simpler time with the serenity and civility that many of us crave. The staff at The Manor are all cheerful, energetic, resourceful and talented. They create the kind of personalized attention that makes you want to return again and again. Some of the most beautiful views of Squam Lake, close to all access points of Lake Winnipesaukee. Looking forward to returning.

We loved our weekend stay at the Manor on the Golden Pond. The service was impeccable. Megan and the team took such good care of us and were very patient with my elderly mother’s requests-thank you. Our room (Churchill) had a wonderful view of the lake and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is all brand new and the bath very comfortable. I am sure Churchill would have enjoyed his bath. We had excellent breakfast menu and the gluten and dairy pancakes were really delicious. Our lunch was very nice on the patio and dinner at the main restaurant was fantastic. Great selection of wines as well. Overall really fantastic stay. I am only giving it 4 because all the renovations are not done, mainly the Spa which looks to be amazing once open! We will be back

We had been looking forward to going up north to stay at the manor for some time and finally got a chance to celebrate my husband's birthday in December there. It was not really what I expected. When we arrived there was a very icy drive with no salt down. We arrived when we said we would but came into the manor and no one was around to greet us and there was no where to check in. A nice but smokey fire was going in the main room which was welcoming but other guests were already taking up the only available limited seating near it. On a weekend in Dec we were some of the only guests and felt no hospitality. When someone did finally come out from another room, we were told (not shown, although we had never been there and didn't know where anything was) the location of our room on another floor and told where to find a key. I had booked my husband a massage and asked where that was to take place to find out it was in another building, not easily accessible and another point rather than show. We went up to the room and the chocolate covered strawberries I had ordered were there waiting for us, which was nice. They were set on the plate and then coated so they were glued to the plate and very difficult to remove and the bottom halves were all broken off trying to pry them off the plate. Disappointing they don't know how to cover strawberries in chocolate so they aren't ruined trying to eat them and very messy. Not a worthwhile add on purchase. The room itself was not unpleasant, but had a very old, worn out feel to it- not old in the good way, which was what we were expecting. Peeling wallpaper, outdated bath with a broken drain, plexiglass over the windows in the bath, ratty tatty blinds and curtains - one of the curtains actually fell off the rod when I tried to close it because the curtain rod was either old, broken or both. There was no table space available for us to use with the wing chairs to set our drinks on or play a game, so I tried to use the table the little TV was on by moving it to the floor since we weren't going to be watching it and tried to move between the two chairs and one of the table legs fell off- clearly set just so as long as you didn't touch it it was ok. So the room had its flaws, but it was also a very awkward layout. The alley where the windows and view is is not an area you can sit in and the area in front of the fireplace isn't large enough to have the two chairs in so you can't really enjoy the view from sitting or the bed and you can't enjoy the fireplace by being able to sit near it, only lay in the bed- but because you have a live fire to start and tend, it's not ideal to do from the bed and it was just overall a very awkward layout. The view from the tub is nice, but if you fill the tub the steam clouds the plexiglass and you can't see and the drain is broken so it won't hold water long enough to enjoy anyway. While my husband was getting a massage I went down at tea time to enjoy the fire and a snack, which was

We stayed at this expensive B&B but on Tuesday and Wednesday they have no services. They offered us yogurt and berries and croissants on Tuesday and Wednesday am. No other breakfast. On Wednesday am. They didn’t even had berries and the croissants were stale from the day before. They are rated 4 stars but no room service. Their answer to our disappointment was we should have read their website and that it is ******* fault. Don’t go there on a Monday or Tuesday and think you will get a B&B experience Not a $475 / night experience. Disappointed. We would like a refund

Never really saw staff. Doors were open not locked through the night. Felt very isolating and there was a lack of phone service which was concerning.

Beautifully located hotel. Lovely room with character. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was gorgeous ... possibly the best omelette I've ever had for breakfast, although the stunning view out the window helped! We had soup and a scone on our arrival as very tired after a long day of travel, and ate in the restaurant the following night. All delicious, as were the cocktails. We did not want to leave. Will definitely return if we are in the area.

The Manor on Golden Pond is a beautiful place. The workmanship is incredible. All of the details in the rooms and common areas are exquisite. The rooms were beautifully designed with fantastic details like wood burning fireplaces, in room jacuzzis. The staff were very professional and so willing to do whatever needed to be done. The dining room was beautiful and the food so delicious. This was the most beautiful place we have ever been in. The history of the Manor was available in the lobby area and reading about all the previous owners and renovations performed over the years was amazing. My wife and I are already planning our next visit. Chef Dan had a fantastic menu.
