Haley's at Anna Maria Island Inn

First impressions are important. Hotel owners know that. And yet Hayley's did nothing to make a good first impression. After we booked (via a platform), we tried to get in touch with the hotel to ask about bike rentals, laundry facilities and checking in times. We got no responses and ended up asking the platform we booked through to make sure the place even existed! The link in the email confirmation that was supposed to give us an access code didn't work, and more emails to the hotel were ignored. When we arrived from Tampa Airport around 10pm we were therefore not entirely surprised but were very disappointed to find the hotel in darkness, no staff to check us in and a small piece of paper pinned to the door with a phone number to call. We had to knock on the door of some neighbours to borrow their phone as ours wouldn't connect to the number and even then it took a long time for the person who picked up to be persuaded that we were legitimate guests and that she could provide a door code to us. Not the welcome we expected, given the price we paid. From there it was basically just "meh" -- the room is lit with flourescent light so has little atmosphere, the bathroom was miniscule, the pool was supposed to be open 8am-8pm and often wasn't unlocked until 10am or we found someone to unlock it for us.

PLEASE READ - My husband was recently involved in a terrible car accident which left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. We have been dealing with hospitals and insurance and loss of job and income and everything that comes with it. We had Haley’s booked for a few weeks from now for 2 nights of course cannot now come. We had prepaid over $1500. When I called to ask for our money back which we really need (of course Haley’s can still rent the room) I was told flat that they will not refund the money and this is their cancellation policy. I “should have bought the travel insurance because things like this happen.” I am in shock over the complete lack of disregard and compassion over such a serious personal situation. I hope no one else experiences such an event - but I wanted to share this experience as I am so disheartened over the greed and lack of care from this business. I hope these people do not live on the island because it would break my heart to know that such a small beautiful community could have such a cold and careless view on a situation like this and the money we could desperately use back. It may be a cute place to stay but I would hate to see how they would treat any guest with an issue - if this is how they mistreat one with such a personal and serious request.

There was an acrylic nail on the floor when I walked in. White stains on the couch. No cover on the duvet. I felt dirty just breathing in the air. No staff on property to help. Called & they told me they couldn’t refund me because I booked through *******. Called ******* & was hung up on twice. Lost all my money & had to book a different place.

The mattress was horrific sunk way down on both sides.You can not get ahold of anyone about it no one on the premisses.One owner stopped by and just shrugged it off when I tried to tell him.The pool was dirty,weeds all around the pool area also.Im telling you stay clear of any of the rentals with this company.

This place looks nothing like the pictures. It was bought out and will be completely redone. At the moment it is a dump!!! It is not a couples retreat. It’s run down and dirty. There isn’t any on site service. The rooms are dark and dingy. The patios are tiny and there aren’t any grills to cook on. Dirty and buggy. The bathroom was the size of a tiny closet. The views from the back windows are storage and garbage. If you get the end room there is a garbage dumpster outside along with garbage pails. My husband called the management! They apologized and relocated us to a beautiful motel.

We stayed in the King's suite for 3 days. Small but very well equiped. Trolley stops for North and South very close by. Had a pool which was a blessing. Close to beach. Staff was very helpful but not on sight. The only strange thing is the bathroom which is very small and you have to be very careful while doing your business to not hit your head on sink which is right in your face. Enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here one night as a side trip during a holiday in Orlando. Everything ran smoothly from arrival information to departure. The motel was beautifully clean, close to the beach and quiet (although we weren't there at weekend). Danny and his colleague at the Anna Maria Inn were really helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Our room was very clean, and very close to the beach access location. Probably better than what you'd expect for a motel. Having a pool was definitely a plus. Overall, I would say a successful stay; however, I called to ask some questions about whether or beach chairs were provided or beach towels. I never got a call back so we ended up renting and spending over 100.00 for these items only to find out that they were available when we got there. Hopefully this will help someone else save some $. The housekeeping services were great. Very friendly.
