King's Mansion

The room was quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, with excellent natural light during the day. It was very clean, and the bed was just the right firmness, making for a comfortable sleep. The water pressure was great, and they even thoughtfully provided a universal adapter. It's super easy to find, located right near a metro station, and there are tons of great food options nearby. The location is fantastic, making it really convenient to get around. It's only about half an hour to Disneyland and Central. The price was incredibly affordable. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit!

I was really lucky to find such a good value-for-money room in Hong Kong. I mainly learned about it from the positive reviews, which mentioned the large, clean rooms, excellent front desk service, and full amenities. The soundproofing was great; even though it faced the street, the area was quiet with minimal traffic. There's a small shopping mall nearby for food, drinks, and shopping, and it's close to the MTR station, about 600 meters away, making it easy to find.

The room was generally clean, and having self-service washing machines and dryers was really convenient. There was plenty of hot water too. The only issue was the duvet; it might not be very friendly as I woke up with really itchy red spots all over my knee pits.

This hotel is absolutely terrible, everyone beware! The environment is worse than a rundown hostel. The narrow hallway reeked of smoke, and when I got to my room, the shower was broken. Even worse, the room faced the road, and the soundproofing was incredibly bad; I could hear every car speeding by. At 2 AM, the outdoor AC unit was dripping water at a rate of two drops per second, making a loud, continuous 'thudding' sound that kept me from sleeping all night. The front desk was unstaffed in the middle of the night, and there was no one to help. I tried to complain through Trip.com, but couldn't even reach the hotel. Since I had booked for two nights in a row, I had no choice but to find another hotel for the second night so I could actually get some sleep. I then tried to negotiate a refund with the hotel through Trip.com, but not only did the hotel offer no apology or solution, they flat-out refused to refund me, claiming I was '默认我今天继续住' (defaulting to staying) and wouldn't give my money back. This is outrageous! Avoid this place at all costs. A 3.8 rating is way too high. Once your money goes into their pockets, forget about getting it back. It's a total scam. Service? Don't even get me started – there's absolutely none. It's like they think putting a bed in a bathroom counts as providing accommodation, regardless of whether you can actually sleep.
