Royal Plaza Hotel

Extremely satisfied with this stay! Although I didn't get to use the pool, I was upgraded to a suite, so I didn't experience the typical 'small Hong Kong room' feeling at this Mong Kok location. It was also incredibly clean and comfortable, with no strange smells whatsoever. The bathtub was absolutely heavenly.

The hotel's location is truly unbeatable. It's right outside Mong Kok East station. From the airport, you can take bus A21 for five stops, get off at Metropark Hotel Mongkok, and it's about a ten-minute walk from there. If you need to go to Futian Port, it's also very convenient; just take the train from Mong Kok East straight to Lok Ma Chau without changing lines. The hotel has many rooms, but the soundproofing is good, so it's quite quiet. The staff are all very efficient. I felt the fridge in my room wasn't cold enough, so I immediately called engineering, and they came to check it out. They tested the cooling, and it was fine. Later, I left drinks in the fridge overnight to test it myself, and it was indeed working perfectly. Housekeeping also kindly brought me an ice bucket, which I really appreciated.

Extremely clean. I wanted a quiet room, and they assigned me one at the very end of the hallway. The cleaning staff were also very nice and proactively changed all my bedsheets the next day.

I've stayed here many times, and it's definitely one of the best value-for-money hotels in Hong Kong. The maintenance is excellent, and both the rooms and public areas are very clean. The complimentary breakfast on the third floor, opposite the front desk, is fantastic. It's super convenient to get here: you can take a direct train from Luohu Port to Mong Kok East Station and the hotel is right outside. Getting to the Exhibition Centre by MTR is also very easy.

Facilities: Well-equipped, with a gym and swimming pool. Hygiene: Clean and tidy, with a wet/dry separation bathroom and a smart toilet. Environment: Right next to the subway station, making it very convenient for getting around. Service: Concierge service, with luggage delivered to the room. There's free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk.

I stayed for four nights. The hotel is located near Mong Kok East Station, but it's not too far to walk to Prince Edward Station or Mong Kok Station, making it super convenient to get to other places! (There's even a skybridge with escalators directly to Mong Kok Station, so no worries about rain or lugging luggage!) The room was quite spacious, but perhaps because the plumbing is a bit old? You have to close the shower and toilet doors, otherwise, a sewer smell drifts into the room. Aside from the smell, the overall experience was good!
