Nina Hotel Island South Reviews

I recently stayed at this hotel for one night. While the location is convenient with only a short walk to the MTR station, it is not the most central. There is a large new mall nearby which provides plenty of dining and shopping options. The room I booked was listed as a "luxury" room with balcony. However, I was quite disappointed with the overall condition and cleanliness. The flooring showed significant wear and scarring that detracted from the presentation. Additionally, the amenities and bathroom facilities were rather basic for the inflated price compared to standard rooms at other hotels in HK. I did get to try out the swimming pool which was pleasantly hygienic. However, the changing area was quite cramped and lacked essential amenities like seating or lockers. It really felt more like a public shower area than a proper pool facility. Overall, while the beds were comfortable enough for a night's sleep, I cannot recommend staying here for the value. The room did not live up to expectations for the higher price point. It served adequately as an overnight sleeping accommodation but lacked comfortable lounging spaces or high quality finishes I expect from a "luxury" designation. In the future, I would look elsewhere for both a better experience and more reasonable rates.

Nice spacious room. Again, I invited a friend to join me for buffet dinner at hotel's ION restaurant ... excellent choice of food

The location of the hotel is quite convenient, with a bus stop right outside and a metro station nearby. HOWEVER, The cleanliness was subpar. My son got bitten by BEDBUGS, leaving welts on his skin, and I have taken pictures as evidence. I reported this issue to the management. Additionally, no safety box in the room, which was concerning. The quality of amenities was poor; for example, the tissue paper provided was not as soft as what you'd expect from similar hotels, and the shampoo and conditioner were of low quality. The area outside the elevator was dimly lit, which scared my child when the elevator doors opened. Overall, the stay was disappointing due to these issues.

Horrible location. It's in the middle of a ghost town (ghost district). There are only graffiti on the walls. No supermarkets, no convenience store, no pharmacy, no laundry shop, no decent eating places in the vicinity. Yes,there is a shopping centre nearby,but prices there are skyhigh. Four breakfast buns for HKD50! Quite a spooky neighbourhood. I really regret booking the hotel. We ended up shortening our stay from three nights to two nights.

The Hospitality of Nina hotel is great. Because it's my birthday so I booked for staycation. I requested a room with one Queen bed. But it's peak season so the rooms with one bed were fulled. Then Customer Service realised my birthday and upgraded to Premier Room with City view. And gave me a birthday cake for present. I'm so Thankful ！This Hotel promotes Kindness to animal, elderly, and go green. They have Distilled water machine to refill fresh water. $107 for breakfast buffet is a good deal that many choices and convenient for the location that are hard to find a canteen. Or go to Aberdeen to find something to eat is also convenient. I will book NINA hotel again next time. 酒店服務質素真的很好，本來生日想找個地方玩和staycation. Book左一間普通房，但因peak season所以一床房位已滿，客服見我正日生日就同我Upgrade 到套房，還送我一件蛋糕作生日禮物，真的很開心！酒店提倡做好心，愛護動物，長者及環保，有飲水機給我們裝水～早餐$107值得食，款式多而且方便始終附近難揾食.除非落香港仔都算方便。

The scene from the gym/ swimming pool is stunning! The room is of nice size as in the past. During summer the hotel is very popular amongst students & I saw groups of Mainland students enjoying themselves in lobby & other areas. Some long-stay clients will take their kids for school at around 7-8 am- that’s rush hours for elevator. After 9 am the traffic will ease off. I recommend this place for stay compared with options in CWB & MK. It’s usually less crowded. Btw the new Southside shopping mall is open & there is a cinema there. One more great option for shopping & entertainment.

This is a decent and affordable hotel on the south island, very close to Wang Chuck Hang road metro station, near popular Ocean park and Deep water bay beach/ Repulse bay beach. Good value for the money. ☺️: the room was clean and very quiet with a lovely hill view. The staff are very helpful and friendly.The swimming pool and the gym are lovely. Room for improvement: felt a bit claustrophobic because the windows are sealed and he furniture is outdated and dark.AC was very noisy and You could feel the high humidity level. the area around is quite industrial and bare.One Seven eleven shop and Pizza express only nearby.

Overall it was alright, the room was decent. Most of the amenities were clean but the spoon and fork had stains on them. Couldn't complain about the bed comfortability and the service was pretty good. Bit pricey tho for what we paid, maybe it was because it was a busy day? If it was cheaper I definitely wouldnt complain as much but we did book it on a Saturday to sunday so its not a surprise it was more expensive and busy. Location wise, there is only 1 convinent store nearby and pretty much no restaurants, however if you book this for Ocean Park then it is a very good choice for a cheap hotel near the park.

Apart from the location not being too convenient, the room is comfortable and spacious. There are still buses/minibuses directly to Central, Wan Chai, and Causeway Bay right outside to the hotel. 10 -15 mins walk to mtr station.

Clean and spacious. The staff were very nice!

The hotel is not very convenient, but the price is acceptable. The staff is very nice, and the hotel room is clean. We are satisfied with the living experience.
