Regal Riverside Hotel

The location is pretty good, and the public bus stop right outside the hotel is very convenient. There's only one power outlet on the desk in the room, and its design isn't very practical; the independent switch can interfere with adapters. There's another power outlet near the kettle in the kitchen. The air conditioning unit is quite loud when running. The shower is okay, but the overhead showerhead has issues. Using the side one is sufficient.

I forgot to take pictures of the room... It's a bit of a walk from Sha Tin Wai MTR station, about ten minutes, but the hotel itself is surrounded by many restaurants, making it easy to find food. The hotel seems quite old, and some facilities show their age. The air conditioning is very noisy. Although I booked a double bed, it was actually just two soft single mattresses pushed together. The pillows were also very flat and soft, making it difficult to sleep. Adjusting the water temperature in the shower was a bit tricky. Even without putting up the 'please clean' sign, towels were exchanged daily. For environmental reasons, the hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or power adapters for free. There was also no complimentary bottled water in the room upon check-in (though there is a tap with drinking water, so you can fill your own bottle). I recommend bringing your own.

My stay at the Regal Riverside Hotel in Hong Kong far exceeded my expectations – a definite five-star review! The room came equipped with a high-end Swiss professional hairdryer from Valera. The build quality felt solid and premium, even more so than a Dyson, with a stable, constant airflow that was great for hair care. As someone with long hair, I really appreciated how quickly it dried. This excellent user experience really highlights the hotel's commitment to high-end amenities. The room also featured several art pieces on the walls, which were aesthetically pleasing and a joy to look at during downtime, creating a wonderful ambiance. The bathroom had a consistent and abundant supply of hot water, with a smooth, constant temperature, making for a comfortable and relaxing shower experience. The room was clean, well-maintained, and the facilities overall were thoughtfully designed. The hotel's amenities are comprehensive, and getting around was convenient. From the stylish soft furnishings to the essential hardware, everything exuded quality. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay. This will be my top choice for accommodation when visiting Hong Kong, and I'll definitely choose it again for future trips!

I shouldn't have been cheap and booked this place. The facilities are old, and there's a distinct musty smell in the room, despite it being quite spacious. We stayed for four nights, and on the last night, after the room had been cleaned during the day, there must have been bed bugs on the sheets. My child and I woke up with our legs covered in bites – my child had over 30 on one leg alone! It was terrifying and incredibly itchy. Don't suffer just to save a few bucks; I'll never stay here again when I visit Sha Tin. Although the front desk and cleaning staff were friendly and greeted us proactively, the hygiene and facilities are truly concerning. It's also far from the MTR; both Sha Tin and Sha Tin Wai stations are over a 10-minute walk away. The breakfast wasn't good either, and I wouldn't recommend it. Strongly not recommended.

I found the room to be very spacious, and overall, I think it offers great value for money. I highly recommend staying here. You can take the B8 bus directly from Liantang Port to the hotel entrance. For Tsim Sha Tsui, take the 81C. It's also a good 8-minute walk to Sha Tin Wai MTR station. I think it's really good and well worth it – safe, convenient, and comfortable.

The hotel is just one stop away from Sha Tin New Town Plaza, making it quite convenient for transportation and shopping. There are also many dining options nearby on the ground floor. What I appreciated most was the beautiful view from the room.

Room was upgraded, and the hygiene was good. It's a bit far from the subway station. Service was good. The breakfast buffet had a good selection.

The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to both the MTR and bus stops. I stayed here for two nights with a friend while in Hong Kong for a concert. The front desk staff were very patient and even helped us store our luggage for free on the day we checked in.
