ibis Hong Kong Central and Sheung Wan Hotel

Convenient location with a Starbucks right downstairs. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and the room service was very friendly. You can really soak in the authentic local vibe of Sheung Wan right at your doorstep. Highly recommended for first-time visitors to Hong Kong.

I arrived about half an hour early to check in, and the front desk staff asked if I wanted an accessible room so I could check in right away. But when I went to bed at night, the sound of the elevator running was comparable to an airplane taking off or landing. To top it off, the shower faucet in the accessible room was broken. I honestly wonder if I was intentionally set up by the front desk staff. Highly not recommended.

Very close to the A11 airport bus drop-off point, making it convenient for a quick one-night stay while passing through Hong Kong on business. The room is small, but has everything you need, and even offers a partial sea view.

The room had bed bugs. Woke up with red, swollen bites all over my legs. I had booked for several nights but was so scared I checked out at 9 AM. This is garbage, especially for over a thousand a night. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

The ibis hotel is conveniently located, just across the street from the Queen Street tram stop. The breakfast at New Five Dragons Tea Restaurant is plentiful and authentic. Both Sheung Wan Market and the nearby Central Market are within walking distance, and there are even more dining options towards Centre Street.

The location is central. However, the lobby manager's service awareness needs significant improvement. Some managers had a poor attitude; when a customer had an urgent emergency, they wouldn't proactively offer help and even insisted on waiting in line, almost causing me to miss my check-out time.

The location is great, pretty much between Sai Ying Pun and Sheung Wan MTR stations. The hotel entrance is right at the Queen Street tram stop, and it's on the main road, Queen's Road. Bus A11 at Connaught Road West goes directly to the airport or the Hong Kong Port. The only downsides are that the room is a bit small – a suitcase 24 inches or smaller can barely be opened. In the twin room, only one side had a bedside table and power outlet, which was inconvenient. Also, as the hotel is older, there are some unavoidable minor flaws: slight noises from the air conditioning and the sink drain, and slow drainage in the shower leading to some water accumulation. The only truly unacceptable thing was how dirty the curtains were; dust and stains were clearly visible on them. Those with allergies should be especially careful.
