iclub To Kwa Wan Hotel

Came to Hong Kong again for a concert, and once again chose the iclub hotel. It's quite close to the Coliseum, just across the road from the MTR station, and there are many local eateries nearby. Very comfortable.

The room, while small, was suitable for three people with three beds. It's close to the subway station, just a two or three-minute walk away, and luggage storage was convenient.

The room is well-equipped, clean, tidy, and comfortable. The environment is quiet and pleasant, and the service is excellent. The location is convenient, with the subway just a short walk away. It's suitable for family trips, business travel, and solo travelers alike.

Hong Kong hotel service attitudes are beyond terrible. They charge 5 HKD for a disposable toothbrush? And for a plug adapter, they just told me to go buy one outside. The room smelled musty, and the 'sea view room' was just a tiny sliver of a view. I rarely review hotels, but this was the last straw.

The accommodation doesn't provide disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste, so travelers need to bring their own or buy them at the "Wellcome" supermarket behind the hotel. The complimentary breakfast is quite light, consisting of orange juice, black coffee, and a few small pastries. The room is relatively clean, but not very spacious (you can see everything as soon as you walk in). Overall, it still offers good value for money.

Facilities: A bit old-fashioned. Cleanliness: The room was great and cleaned daily. However, the breakfast area, tea area, and laundry room could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness. Environment: It's located in an older residential area, which gives it a local, down-to-earth feel. Right across from the subway station, there's a street with many food options, making it very convenient for getting around. The price increased by nearly 600 during the games compared to after.

I chose this hotel because it's only three stops away from Kai Tak Sports Park. I expected the rooms in Hong Kong's budget hotels to be compact and the facilities to be old, and that was indeed the case. The front desk staff, as usual, were not very enthusiastic. They wouldn't proactively inform guests about how to connect to the internet in the room or where the public water dispenser was located on each floor (there's no bottled water in the rooms, and the dispenser is at the end of the hallway on each floor); you have to ask them yourself to get an answer. The room had some poorly designed features: 1. The bed was pushed right against the TV cabinet, so you had to climb over the bed to reach the curtains. How do the housekeepers even make the bed? The kettle was right next to the power strip – is it safe to boil water there? Why don't they just get a different bedside table? 2. The faucet wasn't centered in the sink. It was really awkward to brush my teeth and wash my face. Pros: 1. It's very close to To Kwa Wan MTR station. As soon as you exit the station, you can see the hotel by looking to your left. 2. About 5 meters to the left when you leave the hotel, there's a hidden alleyway. If you go through it, there's a Wellcome Supermarket about 3 meters to your right, which is very convenient for buying fruits and daily necessities. 3. There's a McDonald's within 100 meters, good for a quick bite if you're in a hurry. 4. Although the room didn't have bottled water or dental kits, it did provide disposable slippers.
