Hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

Arrived on the red eye flight past midnight, to find to my dismay that the hotel had 4 to 5 steps from the pavement where i alighted, to the hotel lobby. Not the best start, I thought. Then the staff who attended to me was also not the most chatty and i was kind of regretting booking the hotel. But all that negativity was dispelled when arrived on the 23rd floor of my room, and was greeted by the spectacular sight of the renowned fragrant harbour in my very spacious room, by HK standards. There was a Nescafe coffee maker, which was kindly topped up daily by the friendly cleaning staff, even though i told them i didnt need room service for my short 2-night stay. Bed was firm and comfy, bathtub was clean and not too deep so no fear of accidental drowning. But the highlight for me, besides the view of the harbour, was the delicious breakfast buffet spread, which had a lot of dim sum components, on top of the usual continental breakfast spread. Kudos to the chefs and staff at the cafe serving the hungry morning crowd! Conveniently located along a street full of fab eateries, but not the nearest to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station (about 7mins walk away).

I booked a single room, and I've stayed here before. The location is absolutely fantastic, right in a building on Lock Road next to Nathan Road. It's incredibly convenient for transport. You can walk to Victoria Harbour, K11, Harbour City, and other malls. For the return trip to the airport, the A21 bus goes directly there. Plus, the street downstairs is full of snack stalls and delicious food.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's a two-minute walk downstairs to the Avenue of Stars, and you can enjoy the Victoria Harbour views as you stroll along the coast, passing attractions like K11, Harbour City, and the Clock Tower. Both the MTR and ferry are conveniently accessible, and there are many dining options nearby. You can also choose a room with an extra bed. At around 700 yuan during the off-season, it's a top choice.

The location is okay, quite convenient for getting around Tsim Sha Tsui. The front desk staff, a nice young man, upgraded us to a higher floor room. A highlight is the free afternoon tea, perfect for a little break after exploring. The lobby also offers tea and has educational toys and various board games for children.

The room was clean and comfortable overall, with soft and skin-friendly bedding. The bathroom facilities were complete and thoughtfully designed. The city view from the window was expansive, with good natural light, and the layout was well-planned, making for a pleasant and cozy stay. The overall value for money is excellent, and I highly recommend it.

The room was very satisfying, and they arranged the room type exactly as I requested. I was also able to check in early, which was great. The guy at the front desk in the morning was very polite and patient. The location is super convenient and bustling, with plenty of options for food, drinks, and entertainment. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hong Kong.

This hotel is super convenient for my company. It's not *super* close to the MTR, though. It's located between Tsim Sha Tsui East Station and Hung Hom Station on the Tuen Ma Line. It takes about 7 minutes to walk to either station. I personally prefer walking to Tsim Sha Tsui East Station, or even just strolling through Tsim Sha Tsui – it’s about a 30-minute walk to Harbour City. Alternatively, you can take one stop from Tsim Sha Tsui East to Austin Station, exit E, and then you're right at China Ferry Terminal and Harbour City. Four of us were on a business trip, and we were incredibly lucky to get upgraded from a sea view room to a sea view room on the 15th-floor executive level – nice! For Hong Kong, where space is at a premium, a room over 30 square meters is incredibly spacious and comfortable. Here’s a major tip: If you stay at the Millennium, you get 30% off when dining at Tao Li. Actually, you can get a discount at all the hotel restaurants – wow, suddenly it felt like the room rate paid for itself! *But*, the breakfast was quite mediocre. For the rest of our stay, we opted for breakfast at local cha chaan tengs instead. Next business trip, I'm definitely booking the Millennium again!

Facilities: Fully equipped, even has a gym. Cleanliness: The cleaning staff did a great job. Ambiance: As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a unique fragrance. Service: Excellent service with a friendly attitude. The surrounding area is very convenient, with a wide variety of cuisines available, including Korean BBQ, Japanese food, and hotpot – plenty of choices to pick from.

Upon check-in, the front desk informed us that the hotel's upper floors were undergoing renovations, and to let them know if we encountered any issues. Our 4-day stay was pretty good. We were on the 15th floor, and when we left around 10 AM, we barely heard any noise from the room. The room itself was decent, spacious enough to fully open two 28-inch suitcases. The hotel's location is also very convenient; you can get here from the airport by taking bus A21/A22 or the MTR. It's about a 10-minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station to the hotel. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining options like Lin Heung Tea House, Yung Kee Roast Goose, Chung So Dessert, Wa So Cafe, an egg tart shop, and Haidilao. For shopping, there's Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Don Quijote, 7-11, and Wellcome Supermarket. The street right outside the hotel is Kimberley Road, and our driver told us this area is Hong Kong's 'Korean Street,' so you'll find lots of Korean restaurants around! Location Inside Haiphong Mansion, right in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui. Harbour City, Nathan Road, Kowloon Park, and the Star Ferry are all within walking distance. The MTR station is just minutes away, making it easy to explore both Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Room & Comfort I stayed for three nights. The single room is very tiny and has no window, but it feels cozy if you don’t mind the compact space. Linens were fresh, the layout efficient, and the air-conditioning was excellent — strong and reliable, which made the stay comfortable. The toilet was clean, and there was a multi-type power socket by the bed, great if you forget to bring a travel adapter. If you’re tall, the bed may feel restrictive as you can’t fully stretch out your legs. Amenities Facilities are simple: air-conditioning and Wi-Fi. No kettle in the room. Guests receive a single-use towel, shampoo, and shower gel every day, which keeps things hygienic and straightforward. Room slippers and bathroom slippers are provided. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable. Outside the room, there’s a water dispenser (hot and room-temperature only, no cold water) and a microwave oven free to use. Hot water for showering is available anytime. Hangers and a hair dryer are provided. Daily room cleaning is carried out, which keeps the space fresh. With plenty of food nearby, dining is easy and varied. Check-in Late check-in is allow here till 1am but after 12am need to inform the owner early. The front desk isn’t 24-hour, so arrivals after normal hours require coordination. This can be inconvenient for late-night travelers, but manageable if arranged in advance. Service The owner is genuinely nice and friendly, which makes a big difference in a guesthouse setting. Staff were helpful, making the process smooth once checked in. Allow to store your baggage before check in and out so you can explore in peace. Atmosphere The surrounding streets are lively, while the inn itself feels cozy. Some noise may filter through, but overall the vibe is casual and welcoming — closer to a homestay than a hotel chain. Building & Access The lift system in Haiphong Mansion is split between odd and even floors. Joyce Inn is located on the 5th floor, so you’ll need to use the lift serving odd-numbered levels. Verdict Joyce Inn is about location and value. Clean, affordable, and right in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui’s energy. Best suited for solo travelers or couples who prioritize convenience over amenities. My three-night stay was comfortable overall — I appreciated the daily room cleaning, the fresh toiletries, the friendly owner, the strong air-conditioning, the clean toilet, the multi-type socket by the bed, the fast Wi-Fi, the abundance of food nearby, the free microwave oven, the provided slippers, the hot shower anytime, and the hanger and hair dryer. The price was about 80 SGD per night, which is acceptable, though I do hope it could be a little cheaper. The single room’s size and lack of window may not suit everyone, especially taller guests, but it worked well for me.
