Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head

This hotel had a great staff, helpful and so friendly. The rooms were nice, although they don’t have a direct view of the ocean. It’s quiet and has close access to barefoot beach, which is not as highly trafficked as those on the main *****. The game room is large and has multiple options for electronic entertainment, as well as tables for board games and similar. It’s a very welcoming room. If you stay here, I highly recommend the restaurant, Arden Waikiki. Its menu is innovative and supremely delicious. Its family style, and seemingly every dish is scrumptious.

Our experience has been awful since we have checked in. We requested an upper floor room with a view and we got a room on the third floor with a view of a parking lot. We requested this over a month ago as it is our 11th wedding anniversary and never got a response. We were told when we checked in that the manager would be informed of our situation. But when we woke up and followed up, there seemed to be no acknowledgement beyond telling us that we could pay $60 to upgrade for only one night of our stay. When we requested to switch rooms to a higher floor, we were told that there was nothing available even though people were checking out today. Furthermore, there is a family with an infant next door which puts damper on a plans for a romantic wedding anniversary (not the family’s fault obviously.) At every step of the way, we have been told what they can’t do for us. We requested a refund and were told that there are no managers available until Monday. Overall, just a really deeply disappointing experience.

This is our second year at The Lotus. We like the location because of Kaimana Beach, Kapiolani Park, view of Diamond Head, a short distance away from the madness but accessible into Waikiki. Bus stop into Waikiki is right next door to the Outrigger Canoe Club about 50 yards away from lobby. I believe it’s # 2 and #14 or #20. Room is spacious and clean. Bathroom has plenty of shelf space for toiletries. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. Hotel also provides 2 metal bottles to refill water down by the lobby. This is a nice touch. The staff is wonderful. Yoobi and Melvin at the front desk are super friendly and helpful. We get daily greetings leaving and returning to the lobby. They are always happy to answer all questions. Cleaning staff did a great job on days we decide to have the room tidy up. Beach chairs ( in great condition) and towels are available when needed. The gym is clean with a view of Kapiolani Park. There are a few cardio machines, plenty of free weights and some other weight machines. We’ll be back.

Katie and the team are fantastic! kind, helpful, super friendly. The whole place is great, and it’s a great deal as well especially considering proximity to downtown Waikiki. Also they have free bikes you can check out anytime as well. highly recommend!

The lotus is a very nice boutique hotel near diamond head. The staff are wonderful and they’ve got everything you need to enjoy Kaimana beach which is just a few steps from the hotel. The restaurant and bar at Arden are both very good and I would encourage even those not staying at the hotel to visit.

We spent 10 days at Lotus Diamond Head and were completely happy. The hotel is located a bit outside to vivid Waikiki beach. The room was cleaned every day and we had an amazing view at diamond head on the one side and the beach on the other side. The staff around Melvin was all professional, always friendly and made us feel welcomed all the time. We can highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for making our honeymoon this special and wonderful

This hotel was an amazing experience for my significant other and I. We wish we would’ve been able to extend our stay. The staff is extremely accommodating and delightful. (Especially our girl Zee) They were able to answer any questions we had in a timely manner. The view for the price that we paid is astonishing and we can’t wait to stay here again. Book the ocean view, I promise you won’t regret it.

The Lotus is my Hawaiian home. That is how the entire staff make you feel. With the outstanding location, Waikiki is a pleasant 15 minute walk, Arden, the excellent on site restaurant and the Barefoot Cafe is located on the water, a 10 min walk. A small store is located next door for all your needs. The rooms are very comfortable with private balcony, mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Each room is provided with water bottles that can be filled in the lobby. Housekeeping is awesome, attending to your room on daily or frequency of your choice basis. For that very special occasion the Penthouse is available. The Lotus now has in house massage provide by Aloha Body Mind Soul with the best massage therapists on the island. Easy access to the hotel, with the option of avoiding Waikiki traffic, and the freedom to roam the rest of Oahu. The park is located across the street and the walk up Diamond Road, past the Lighthouse, is one of my favorites. I can honestly say, all my stays at the Lotus have been the very best. If you want that personal Waikiki experience, the Lotus is that hotel. I am sure it will feel like home to you as well.
