Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort

This was a great hotel! They did everything right. From the moment we pulled up we were pleased. Check in was fast. The staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The setup for towels at the pool/beach was convenient. They have lots of activities for you to participate in. They have a shuttle bus that will take you to and from business within a 2 mile area!!! So no need for Uber! The hotel sits right on the beach with beach access. The view of the beach is beautiful!!! The only thing I recommend is that they upgrade their cable tv setup. There is no channel guide and there is no options to watch personal streaming services you may have. However, that alone won’t stop me from booking again. Great job Hilton! 😀More
Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort

- [ ] We left the Westgate Myrtle Beach Ocean Front resort a few hours ago. Reservations # 16242421 & 16242422. We are owners of a Westgate timeshare and must say we are extremely disappointed with this Myrtle Beach location. As another review mentioned, the staff is impolite, the hotel is filthy, and they will charge you things after you leave that do not make sense. We had two rooms under my name and both were in different buildings- which is annoying giving we were two families with young kids that wanted to be together. One of the rooms was super dirty with cheese in the freezer and hair in the bathroom (pics attached for reference). We flagged this to several people (concierge, in house manager, receptionist, via SMS, etc) and it wasn’t until we got really upset that we had the room fully cleaned because this obviously has not been done after the previous guest left. Otherwise, please do note they will not clean the rooms during your stay due to Covid (at least this is the official message but I assume the real reason is that they are short staffed) and when I asked for the cleaning supplies to do it myself, they only brought a broom the size of a Melissa & Dug cleaning toy set - not even a real size broom and a dustpan. So, be prepared to have to clean with it the sand or others during your stay regardless of the length of your visit. Also, we brought a dog with us and paid a pet fee for it. Reviewing now the statement of the charges we noticed they charged the pet fee to both rooms. We called to ask for an explanation and we were told they assumed the pet was in both rooms, so they charged the fee to both - even when the dog never left our room except for its regular walks outside the hotel complex. So, I will be expecting the refund of the second fee that, without authorization, they charged to our credit cards. So, to recap: they do not do a deep cleaning between guests, they do not clean at all during your visit, do not offer cleaning supplies, if you ask for cleaning supplies they bring you a broom that seems from a toy set, the staff is rude, they will charge things that do not make sense, and it is expensive as any other resort in the area. We paid almost $4k for the two rooms for 5 evenings. So, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. We did it here since we thought we were going to have a similar experience to what we have had at other Westgate Resorts but it was not the case. So, it is not worth the investment. Thanks
Breakers Resort Hotel

This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach October 8-11, with two children ages 3 and 8. We did weeks worth of research before choosing this resort. **You will always find scary and negative reviews for places but I promise you that The Breakers does not disappoint! (Unless you are difficult to please!)** We stayed in the Paradise building on the 20th floor. The view was amazing! The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The water pressure in the shower was great! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat meals. The employees at this resort work hard to keep it clean and safe. Housekeeping checked in daily to replenish towels and take our trash. We enjoyed the pools and hot tubs and lazy river. This is a great location, steps from the ocean and walking distance to stores and restaurants. It was nice to have a Starbucks right across the street! It would have been nice if the kids pool was operating since our children and other families were interested in utilizing that amenity. However I was informed by front desk staff that operating hours are determined by the weather and the security team. The shuttle service was great and the driver was knowledgeable and friendly. We were picked up from the airport and were able to schedule rides to local attractions. Overall it was a great trip and we are already looking forward to returning! Thank you Breakers!

Someone in our party chose this location due to it being more economic. Parking is on site and location is pet friendly. Rooms were clean and fresh although the hallways smell musty. There is free breakfast which is nice but they lock the area where breakfast is served after serving hours so there is only the front lobby to gather in. When asked if we could be let into the area to play cards and visit we were told no. Staff is on the rude side - mostly. They are not very accommodating- actually told me they don’t get or send mail from this location so they could not put my postcards with their out going mail. There was a hotel mailbox right out front (which I used) and my mail was taken. Staff must not know what mail is. Due to it being pet friendly, a dog got loose and ran the hallway, dogs barked at all hours, and I actually witnessed a couple opening their door to be surprised by a dog which wasn’t theirs in the room Seems they were given an incorrect room to stay in. If price is your driving factor then this hotel is fine, otherwise I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
The Patricia Grand - Oceana Resorts Vacation Rentals

This was the worst Myrtle Beach stay I have ever had. I am going to speak to room 0532 at the Patricia Grand and not the entire property. Upon arrival staff was friendly and the check in process took less than 3 minutes. Upon entering the room it smelled clean (clorox smell), however I did notice that there was residue from the ceiling on the pillow of the beds, i just wiped them off. Thought nothing about it other than that the ceiling did look bad as it was peeling and that was it. I also instantly noticed the appliances in the room was outdated. TV was an LCD with a DVD player (wow). Lamps weren't in the best shape. Not to mention there were limited sockets and not one near the middle night stand. The room was just dated all the way around but again, seemed what I thought was clean. Fast forward, parked the car after unloading and went back to the room ceiling residue was back on the pillows, i thought to myself I know the ceiling is not falling apart. I looked up, nothing different other than the ceiling looked bad and if it was peeling but nothing was dropping at the moment. So I wiped them again. Fast forward throughout the day with my family. Came back to the room, the ceiling was on the pillows again, so I said let me report this. No telling what chemicals are in the ceiling particles and I don't want myself of my family to get sick and plus who wants to sleep with white particles falling on their head. Now at this time we are also trying to find the basketball game (Celtics vs Mav Game 4). TV channels were terrible and we couldn't find it. Picked up the phone to report the ceiling as well as ask what channel the game was on and to my surprise, the phone didn't work. Not that it didn't work, the cord didn't even fit in the phone. So sent my family downstairs to ask about the phone, TV, and ceiling. Maintenence came in about 20 minutes from that communication downstairs. The worker came in, looked at the phone and said oh the line is dead, it's not gonna work. What?!?! So what if something was wrong, how would we reach reception. To mention the ceiling again, the worker said I will let downstairs know (we already told downstairs smh), and as for the channel for the game we'll the channel lineup was wrong and when we found the channel for the game if buffered, didn't work, so we missed the game smh. Next day came around, now mind you I have reported the ceiling three times by second day (via text to Vacasa, downstairs to front desk work by my family member, and in the room when worker came to fix the phone. Now day two, I went downstairs and said hey what is going on with the request regarding the ceiling, the representative said the order has been placed and Maintenence will take care of it. Ok, well I was there three night, and Maintenence never came again. No urgency or care in their face or voice. Others issues noticed in room, remote stopped working other than for volume and lamp near sliding door had to be messed with to work and sta

The hotel is nice and clean and the balcony is great. However, there’s no exhaust fan in the bathroom so it can get really hot and/or smelly. Definitely bring a can of spray with you. You would think since it’s 80+ degrees outside that they would have free ice cold water for guests but instead they offer hot water for tea and coffee. They want you to buy a bottle of water that cost over $4… when I brought this issue up to the front desk agent he told me that the hotel has a water dispenser in their gym. But guess what? The water in the gym is room temperature so make sure you get some ice. Also, the location isn’t my favorite. My friends and I used a Lyft and everything was about 20-30 minutes away. When I come back I definitely want to stay at a hotel that’s very close to the Boardwalk or Broadway (not a theater). The positive about being way out is that it’s not crowded. Some more positives: being right on the beach, the alcoholic drinks were tasty, and the bed was comfortable.
