The parking lot is large, accessible at a high speed, but not noisy. The front desk will give the Double Tree Hotel special welcome cookies. delicious. Two hours from Arches National Park. For a day trip to the arch, it is recommended to take the first few attractions such as the balance stone, double zero, and eye for fun, and not tired to walk. Do not go to the scenic arch viewing point behind, but climb the slope, and the upper and lower viewing points are not clear. **The garden time is not enough and we did not play.

new facility in a small town good location next to main busiest street.
But linens are kind of old and rough, apparently used and washed many times without replacing.
Services are barely existent and staff training is way under expectation of Marriott standard I ever had.
Rooms are equipped but very basic supplies. No tooth brushes and slippers.

Was very pleased with the pricing and the location to the major highways & interstates. I was in town for business and had to actually bring my daughter with me which she wasn’t to please but the room had free WiFi and cable TV. The only downfall is that we brought ur own food to save on money and the room didn’t have a microwave or refrigerator to keep our food chilled.

This simple motel offered a clean quiet room, effecient service, and a comfortable stay. I did not try breakfast, but it looked like a typical motel offering. The staff seemed friendly and I will certainly stay here again.

This property is going to have a complete redo in the Fall from what I was told. Think it has been ten years. The reason I gave it a 4 is because of the room we were given. It was very spacious with one bedroom with a door and one bed in the living area, both king beds. There were three televisions. Room was clean, bedding good, beds comfortable. For some reason the room had a strong unpleasant odor when we first arrived. We probably got used to the smell. The bathroom door needs repair and that will happen later this year. It was very quiet. There is one of these rooms on each floor. Carpet in the first floor hallway is really soiled. We appreciated the USA Today being available again except Thursday it did not come. Be sure to try the nearby Mi Mexican restaurant. We thought it was outstanding and you can walk to it, dine in or get take out or have delivered. Breakfast had enough options. Front desk workers were very helpful. Internet worked fine.

Spent a week at this location. I would warn everyone to stay away. The list of issues are long so I will just share the top 5: 1) They were apparently ”testing” their fire alarm system and gave no notice to guests. Upon asking if everything is okay, I was told, ”just a routine test”...why they wouldn't warn guests to ensure no one panics is beyond me, but that sets the stage for the week. 2) They had to clean their septic tank and again, no heads up to the guest. Apparently inflation is costing printing paper to go up because guests now have to endure the smell of sewage throughout the hotel and their rooms. Now I get to sit here for hours to the smell of sewage. All they had to do was post signs, or slide a piece of paper under the door to let everyone know so they could make arrangements to not have to smell sewage. 3) Apparently house keeping does not know when the DO NOT DISTURB sign is hanging on the outside of the door, it means do not disturb. House keeping came knocking on my door multiple times while the DND sign was present. 4) The doors are not quiet close and you'll hear them slam at all hours of the night and morning. One lovely morning I got woken up to someone slamming their door at 3am. As a vet it's hard enough for me to sleep, but you can imagine how little sleep I got here. 5) Poor service. As an Ambassador member I do expect Marriott hotels to honor what they promise. There were no upgrades offered when my room was assigned (even though it states on their website that if an upgrade is available it will be AUTOMATICALLY assigned). When I asked if there were any upgrades I was told there were not, but the next day was told there were. Now you might think that someone had checked out since I last asked, but i arrived at 10pm the night before and asked at 10am the next morning. Anyone who travels, knows no hotel turns over rooms that quickly. I stood in front of one employee for 5 mins (I noticed he was working intensely and was trying to be polite), only to have him ignore me and walk away. When I got his attention and asked why he was ignoring me, he simply stated, ”I did not see you”.... I was approx. 6 ft from him. Lastly I would say trying to talk to management here is like talking to a brick wall who is looking for a fight. You get blank stares, excuses and a hostile interaction. Sharah the GM was very unpleasant to speak to. When I calmly explained my frustration I was interrupted and met with excuses. I simply suggested that there should have been warning for some of the problems and was answered, ”there's nothing I can say to make things better”. At that point I knew I was wasting my time. Again, stay away and spend your money where they value you. If you like to be treated poorly then this location is a good fit. I will be reaching out to Marriott directly about how poorly managed this location is.

GGuest UserWe arrived around 11pm for a one night stay after a late flight. The check in was easy and the desk agent gave good directions (with a a map) to our room. The layout is strange, but the map helped a lot. The room was clean and comfortable for a good night's rest. The hallway had a musty smell, but it wasn't overwhelming. On our way to breakfast the next morning, the smell of the indoor pool was overwhelming, though. Plenty of chemicals in there for sure! The breakfast itself was a good selection of hot and cold foods. Everyone in our family found plenty to eat. The proximity to the airport is good, and we would stay again if arriving at GJT late.
This property is located right off I-90 and Horizon Drive near the Grand Junction Airport. Easy parking (even for large vehicles) quick & professional check-in, nice clean rooms, ample breakfast. It’s a great, solid choice in GJ. Will stay here again.
GGuest UserThe hotel is what you pay for. A clean, low key hotel room with a bed and shower. Not sure what else my son and I needed. Don’t expect a fancy breakfast in the AM. The money you save can be used to walk over to village inn just a short walk away. Of note, we had a 2 bed room. The beds are doubles, not queen size. So if you have more than 2 people, it may be a tight fit. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
GGuest UserThe Holiday Inn Grand Junction has a good location but is more than worn-out. It's below the quality you expect from Holiday Inn. Trash in public trash receptacles on each floor were overflowing with trash and not removed for two days. Carpet in the hallways was held together with staples. Furniture had significant stains. The TV more than 10 years old. Extensively damaged and scratched furniture in guest rooms. Almost no accessible electrical outlets to charge devices. No USB outlets. No laundry bag in closet and no dry cleaning service offered. Toiletries were a mixture of different brands. $8 parking charge for an open and unsecured parking lot. The equipment in the gym is two or three generations outdated. IHG elite status recognition nonexistent. Supposedly, there is an airport shuttle but I never saw the shuttle operate. Staff were pleasant and polite, though they seemed young and not terribly experienced. Despite being seriously worn-out, my room was clean. The food at breakfast and dinner was actually better than expected. Breakfast starts at 6 a.m. every day, which is appreciated.
GGuest UserMy sister and I stayed at the Grand Vista hotel in G.J. Colorado and it was the best nights sleep I have had in ages. The hotel was clean and the staff were excellent! I will stay there on another trip. We did not eat there because of time but the restaurant looks good and I will make it a mission to enjoy that next time.
DDaniel WayneThe location was pleasant, each room has their own balcony or patio. The breakfast was the usual continental fare, but I appreciated the staff’s efforts in making sure any messes were immediately cleaned and guests were assisted. One minor complaint I had was the internet, it seemed spotty at times as the connection was not the greatest during a Zoom call for a business meeting. Otherwise, I slept well.
MmthenomadManaged to make a last-minute reservation for a night after my travel plan was affected by the wildfires in the area I was visiting. I didn't explore the area at all, as I arrived late and left early in the morning, but I saw a bunch of places you can get food easily/conveniently. Their service was basic but was satisfactory: free WiFi, coffee machine, fridge & microwave (no breakfast). I don't have any complaints about staff's friendliness/helpfulness or the comfort of the room. However, the place was a bit old (both the building & the room I stayed in) and smelled old. Not sure if they can afford a comprehensive renovation, but they could use some 'face-lift', replacing the room's furniture or whatever case may be. As long as your expectation is minimal, their affordable price is a good reason to stay here.
