OYO Hotel Houston Katy Freeway

The location and price is great but they have a major roach problem. Also the pictures they show of the rooms look nothing like the rooms. When I first arrived I didn't have a shower curtain and no trash cans room. Also most of the light bulbs were too. It took me three days to get a shower curtain in my room. Also they don't have any washing machines and dryers.

The only reason I stayed here was that it's cheap. The roaches are horrible.

While we fully agree with and understand one cannot expect to get more then what we pay for HOWEVER, at only $50 we didn’t expect to wake up w several cockroaches on the bed next to us all over the nightstand between the beds (not to be confused with the often misidentified by many not familiar w the south’s wood,flying,water roach but actual cockroach) nor were we ever able to get rid of or get use to the overwhelming smell of mold/mildew that only got stronger the more rain over the 6hrs we stayed in the room because naturally the mold/mildew was not only effecting our sense of smell but also our ability to breath or shake our continuous pounding headaches. It didn’t take long to see the signs of why the smell was the way it was when the visual black mold in random spots all throughout the room and bathroom coming through to the surface from behind the wall were evident and about the size of softballs.They at no point offer any type of soap in the rooms so ya better come fully prepared. There aren’t any real words to accurately describe the water pressure,I guess if you can for a minute imagine someone standing above you while letting water droplets slowly fall from their fingertips down on ya would be a pretty good description but bare in mind not at any point in either the shower or sink was there any other temperature of water offered but COLD and please don’t get me started on the customer service of the incompetent, rude, disrespectful girl who had the worst attitude, that is if ya had the luck of actually catching her on accident as she tried low key dip in the office for her own quick personal reason to hurry back to her ghostly m-I-a location because to catch her one would have to almost plan on a stakeout to come close to making contact w her but catching her only got you eye rolls,lip smacks, and walked off on in mid sentence! Yes unfortunately due to onset of horrible winter storm did limit us to vacancies at more preferred usual hotels so we did get 1 of the last rooms anywhere in the area so we did settle for a $50 room one that was so bad we left after 6hrs to go sit out the freeze and road closings in our car until 3pm where we then were fortunate to get a room at a preferred hotel only $17 more! I would highly recommend the health department make it a priority to make a visit and if they do no one will need this review to decide because this motel will not be an option for you to see just how bad it is for yourselves! STAY AWAY AT ALL COST FROM THIS POS ROACH, MOLD, COLD WATER ONLY MOTEL BECAUSE IF THESE THINGS DONT GET YA CATCHING A BATTERY CASE ON THAT FRONT DESK CHICK WILL!

Nothing like it’s pictures the office staff was rude AF floor was peeling up no smoke detector in our room we got two queen beds each had one pillow asked for another office staff said “um I don’t control that ma’am” we left that place should be condemned

I hated this place bugs everywhere shower was freezing and had a lot of bugs sheets had pee stains had bed bugs to one more thing we couldn’t sleep because of this noises everywhere !!!!!! 0 out of 10 don’t recommend I hated the experience it was horrible there freezer doesn’t work it such

There were roaches bugs nats the floor was broken tile and wood. I had to come in cleaning and when i asked the staff about the flying bugs inside the room i was given a can of raid. The over night guy was polite but this room was horrible.

Room was dirty,.there was bugs around, AC and fridge was moldy. A lot noise in the middle of night too

I do not recommend this place! I felt unsafe and the place was dirty. I found food in the fridge when I got there. There was people talking and making so much noise all night! And no refunds!!!!!! It was horrible!!
