Sonder at Mid Main Lofts

We enjoyed our stay at the Sonder property. Our check in instructions were clear. The room was plenty big. We had a two bed, two bath apartment for four of us. There are 4/5 restaurants/ bars with in a couple of blocks and a gas station for convenience about 2 blocks away. We walked about 4 blocks past the community college to a great little coffee shop. The room was clean. We felt very safe here. A couple other reviews mentioned safety. People can get into the elevator but the elevator won’t move with out a key fob. The parking garage is large and complimentary, a bonus I rarely see in urban hotels. This property is large with many full time residents.

Location was great!! Pool was a nice touch but freezing as it is not heated! The key fob never worked to get in or out so that was the only issue and never did get resolved. Kept bothering the leasing office when they were there and luckily there would be someone working most times to let us out. And the other couple with us had there’s that worked. Had a great rec room we utilized as well!

Everything I needed and wanted. Actually, found the check-in and out process pretty seamless. Nice having totoal access to parking for free. Gym was top notch. Good central location for downtownHouston and the sourounding area. Highly reccomend.

I appreciated the stylish look and cozy feel it had in comparison to an Airbnb but the great customer service, management, and communication like a traditional hotel. I will deficiently recommend and will be back!

Sonder was great. Clean rooms. A few things would make it better, better instructions for check-in. Had trouble finding the locker. But once I found that it was easy going. I would also suggest bringing your own shampoo and conditioner and soap as there was a lot of conditioner and body lotion but no hand soap and 1 tiny bottle of shampoo. Also allowing to request a late check out prior to 24 hours before you leave bc waiting till the morning of to find out if you were able to get the late check out is just stressful. Overall would for sure stay at another property.

Sonder appears to run several apartments in the building. The unit I stayed in for 5 nights was on the fourth floor, where the gym and the pool are located. The place was extremely clean, very quiet and quite stylish, in that "polished concrete floor" kind of way. The tram way stop is right in front of the building and got me where I needed to go (Downtown Convention Center) and wanted to go (the Museum District). Washer/Dryer/Dishwasher worked and they had tabs and basic amenities in the unit.
