Stayed for on enight at Halliwell Country Inn. Maybe the best bed that i have slept in. Lynn at front desk was amazing. The rooms neat, clean, spacious and well set out. Only problems were, the one room did not have a shower and the coffee at breakfast was nnot good. Would recommend.

You stayed at the rest.. now try the best. Good food. The reception lady very friendly and helpful. Quiet environment with the most beautiful garden and views.

Our overall stay was great. The food was fantastic. Maintenance work can be done on the accommodation. The heater in the room was not working. Could recommend an electric blanket on the beds and a small bar fridge in the room.

Have visited Halliwell previously, and experienced a 'high' standard both with food and accommodation. Under the new management this has changed. We were not informed earlier that there was no electricity after the heavy snowfall in the midlands area; as a result there was no hot water and at times, couldn't flush the loo since there was no water either. Buckets of water was delivered to us for bathing. The first night we ordered soup as listed on the menu; this was not available and so were some other items. On previous occasions a full breakfast included hot and cold, on this trip we could only choose one of the several options. We decided to cut short our trip and find an alternative in the area. Sadly, Haliwell will no longer be a favourite for a getaway:-(

What a delight to meet staff who take a real pride in their work, and experience comfortable accommodation in such a pleasant environment. A few minor maintenance issues, but nothing serious.

Initially scheduled to stay 3 nights. We were so taken in by the place that we extended our stay beyond the 3 nights. Extremely satisfied with this return visit to Halliwell Country Inn.
