It's only a 5-minute scooter ride from the train station, and it's very quiet for a full night's sleep. The only thing I'm not used to is that the bed and pillows are a bit soft. I highly recommend it to people who like softer things. The lighting in the room is warm white, so if you have to work, your eyes may be tired.

Service was courteous at the front desk. They were very kind to give me a room before 3pm knowing that I had traveled more than 17 hours and really need to rest. Restaurant service was very slow. They were short of staff. No one was around to take my bill. Food was average. Really liked their cold dish with lotus root and red bean. Dinner buffet was very pricey. Couldn’t quite justify $30 per person. I was disappointed when I went back for the breakfast buffet. They served the same cold dishes and fruits from the previous night. Felt like we were eating leftovers. I picked this hotel because of their outdoor pool. It’s an outdoor 25 meter pool. It was lovely swimming laps and enjoyed the ocean view.

In my opinion, Parkview Hotel is one of the nicest hotel for families in Hualien. The deluxe family room we booked has 2 queen beds and very spacious. The breakfast buffet is nice, with a good collection of traditional ********* congee breakfast and international selection such as omelette station, salad, etc. There is a dedicated indoor haven for children with all sorts of games from go cart, different kinds of video games, etc. There's indoor pool, gym, pool table, etc for adults. There's also a coin operated laundry machine and dryer.
