Although the room is not big, the facilities are quite complete. It was my first time staying in a hotel and I found that the thick toilet seat for home use was given. I hope the store will do a good job of disinfection instead of reusing it.
There is a sunken booth in the hotel lobby, which is very trendy in design. The restaurant is also more authentic Western style. The breakfast is really good with many varieties.
A mini bar and six bottles of sweet water were given in the room. Surprise!
Overall it is good, I will stay again next time!

Traveled over the Chinese New Year. The hotel was clean and personnel nice. My target was going to the Yellow Mountain and it turned out to be problematic because of timing and the pandemic situation (=lack of tourists). With help of the personnel the trip finally came true. Special thanks to Miss Amber, who had a vital role in overcoming language barrier and arranging transportation.
The hotel was clean and beds ok. Also, the Wifi was working fine. The breakfast was not available in the hotel. Also visited the Old Town that is in (longish) walking distance from the hotel. Can recommend the hotel for traveler on budget.

The price/performance ratio is very high. There is a big supermarket next to it. The room is clean and tidy. It also provides washing machines and dryers. It is good. There are local specialty snacks in the lobby, such as brown sugar ginger tea and milk tea. It is very warm. We booked 2 rooms. In order to live on the same floor, one room was upgraded. The breakfast was also very good. I forgot to take pictures. I will post some pictures of Tunxi Old Street.

Hotel service is very good. Front desk staff, especially Chloe, is very helpful. We requested for non-smoking room and they explained thereโs no non-smoking floor in the hotel but they can clean up the rooms off smoke scent before handing to us. On checkin, they personally showed us to our room and asked that we inspect it before accepting. No request is too small. When we told them the room felt cold, they sent someone to help adjust the heater for us. We had a great stay!

Nice big room, plenty of space for luggage and desk included. Bed was comfortable. You put on your own bedsheets so you know they're clean which is nice. Bathroom was a good size, not super clean, but fine. Common area seemed nice, although it was quiet so there wasn't much of an atmosphere and barely any foreigners, but I'm sure it's more social in busier times. Great location near bus station, also the bus from the train station stops just outside too (on opposite side of road). To get to Huizhou Ancient town from the bus station is 1.5hrs on bus 6001 (ยฅ5), taxi would be at least ยฅ80. Not many food spots nearby but a few mini stores and small restaurants on nearby streets. Overall pretty good stay, no real complaints and great price/value.

NNaomiOur stay at the J. Mountain hotel was beyond our wildest dreams. I rarely leave reviews but our 3 nights here were so stunningly exceptional that we felt driven to express our gratitude and appreciation for the stellar staff, service, and beautiful setting of this hidden gem of a hotel.
The service was without exception some of the best if not the best I have ever experienced at a hotel, and I travel often, having visited over 20 countries in the last few years alone and stayed at many beautiful and well-known five-star hotels and brands. Despite being a very young hotel (having just opened in September) J. Mountain Hotel holds its own and then some. It began months before our stay when we reached out to the hotel on WeChat to ask for guidance on equipment, tickets, and transportation. As we are visiting from America the area isnโt necessarily the easiest to access or plan for. Responses were almost immediate no matter when we reached out and always went above and beyond. For instance, my mother is nearly 70 and although very active was worried about slipping and falling while hiking in icier conditions; they offered to even purchase crampons for us should we wish although they advised us we would not need them for the time of year we were here (they were right).
While here their thoughtfulness included texting us updates on and warning us about inclement weather while we were hiking around Huang Shan (there is cell service), drying and fluffing our wet gear when we returned from a particularly wet hike, and most astounding of all resolving an incredibly stressful issue we had with an upcoming flight that had been canceled (they suggested and secured alternative means of transport to a second city and then arranged for a different flight with the airline directly).
We must specifically give our thanks to Hotel Manager Ryan, who is young but clearly extremely talented and excels in his role. He not only oversaw and proactively sought to help us on every front but was responsible for resolving our flight emergency. He also clearly had directed staff to help us to their utmost ability at all times, including having breakfast and dinner ready for and served to us at the times we requested. Ryan also personally met us and gave us a tour of the hotel and its history and design, as well as accompanied us to the art gallery and an evening tea tasting held in the gorgeous tea house on the grounds. He checked in with us every day and night and made sure everything was to our liking.
Driver Wang Kai was our personal chauffer throughout the stay and was extremely courteous, professional, and attentive; he was always there to pick us up and see us off at multiple locations throughout our trip and not once were we ever allowed to wait. He even brought us hotel slippers and large down jackets to change into out of our soaking wet gear when picking us up at the end of a hike. When we said we did not think we would need some of the gear they offer their guests, we noticed he packed it in the car just in case we changed our minds and needed them later.
I could literally go on and on but wanted to make sure I left room to appreciate how beautiful the hotel itself is and how much attention to detail has gone into its design and planning; at almost every turn we discovered something that added to the ease, enjoyment, and comfort of our stay. J. Mountain Hotel, thank you for one of the best experiences we have had in many, many years.
SShana101We had a great time here at Baiyun hotel, known for its great location here in Huangshan and the exceptional services provided by their ็ฎกๅฎถs. Our ็ฎกๅฎถ is ๅฐๅถ and we were very touched by her sincerity and helpfulness during our stay here, she made sure to keep us updated on the latest sunset/sunrise timings via wechat and provided us great recommendations on our hiking routes. As foreigners, she made us feel very welcomed here and very approachable in asking her for help or services anytime. There was even a performance specially put up by the Baiyun staff every night, itโs heartwarming to see the amount of effort they go through to make their guests happy.
I will highly recommend this hotel, not just because of its great location to sunrise/sunset spots and small eateries, its comfortable beds and hot showers toilets, but also for its wonderful and applaudable services that the staff will provide for each and everyone of its guests. Thank you ๅฐๅถ for making our stay here so wonderful :)
GGuest UserHongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.
GGuest UserThe perfect place for an overnight trip! The room was clean and comfortable, with AC, TV, kettle, etc. โ everything you might need! The staff readily provided us with a WeChat contact, offering to drive us to and from the Huangshan mountain trail entrance as well as happily providing recommendations for the local town. After being caught in the rain on the last day after we had already checked out, we were immediately accommodated to dry off in one of the rooms before our evening train. The hospitality and generosity was 10/10 and much appreciated! I have multiple friends who chose to stay at the 0517 Hotel while visiting Huangshan, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area!
LLaotanshancaixThe accommodation environment is very good. The room is large and clean. The facilities are all new. The check-in experience is particularly good. We live on the third floor. There is no elevator in the B&B. The owner is very enthusiastic to help us move our luggage. The service is super good!
The owner is very nice. The driver of the carpool from Hongcun to Tangkou did not send us to the door of the B&B. The owner came to pick us up. He also sent us to the entrance of Huangshan at 5 o'clock the next day. The boss really worked hard. The driver from Huangshan to the high-speed rail station was also contacted by the boss. He is really responsible
We had dinner at the B&B. All five dishes were delicious and the price was very affordable. I was very satisfied
The scenery in front of the B&B is very good and it looks good for taking pictures
PPaul. SGood location, not too far from Tangkou bus transfer terminal. When we arrived here, we asked a local to help us call them and they immediately sent a car to picked us up. Transport to and fro Tangkou bus terminal was free. The room was clean, facilities good, separate toilet/bathroom. Building not so new but facilities well maintained and clean. Breakfast was Chinese style buffet, simple but adequate. Service from all the staff from front desk, the boss, the driver, the restaurant staff and the cleaning lady were excellent. I stayed in 5 hotels during this trip to China and this hotel provided the best service. The driver even helped us to get a direct transfer to our subsequent Tunxi hotel, without us getting fleeced. I believe the hotel, restaurant and adjoining mini-mart are all family owned.
DDeniseLocation: Very close to the ๆฑคๅฃ entrance, 15 min walk to the nearest bus interchange to see the mountain.
Cleanliness and amenities: Superb as this hotel just newly opened and everything is in its prestine conditions. There is also a laundry room free for use.
Service however, was debatable. While staff were very friendly, they definitely took advantage of our lack of knowledge around the town.
1. Offering to drive us to the Emerald Valley (็ฟก็ฟ ่ฐท) but charging us an exorbitant price, 5 times more than what DiDi (car hailing app) was listing (only telling us the price once we got on the car, felt like they just made up the amount on a whim). The emerald valley was not an inaccessible location, but we were told that it was and therefore heeded their advice.
2. Sold us Emerald Valley entrance tickets for twice the price and told us that we were getting a discount. Fortunately, the tickets were void as it had already been used, which we got our refund back after. We then bought tickets at the entrance for half the price as we were foreigners. So now im wondering, what discount was she talking about?
3. Lastly, after facing some issues with the dryer not properly drying our clothes after waiting for 2hrs, I approached a staff for help. She was lost and confused but still trying to tell me I did not operate the machine correctly, when all she did was did exactly what i did and said that โits working, just have to wait for the dryer to heat upโ. When i asked for her to elaborate on how it works, because i did the same thing and i waited for 2hrs, she just repeated the same info again. Like. If you donโt know and you canโt help just say so? Donโt act smart and be unhelpful?
Take these experiences as a pointer if you choose to stay here. Do your own proper research as much as possible so you donโt get taken advantage of like we did! Nonetheless, Huang shan is still a beautiful place, definitely worth a visit.
GGuest UserThis is one of the less satisfactory 5-star hotel stays I have had in years. Due to its location, it demanded a high price tage of over $280 a night. But its location is less optimal for watching sunrise or sundet. One has to walk 15-20 min. with steep climb to reach viewing point. In comparison. ๅ ๆ้กถ is a much better place to be. The small frig in room does not work at all. Instead of cooling, the tempertaure inside rised after it was turned on. Fromt desk said they will sed in repair and never did, even after we requested it the second time. The frig remained unfunctional when we checked out.
GGuest UserWasn't expecting much of this mountain top hotel but was pleasantly surprised.
The room we had was light and airy and of reasonable size. Toiletries, toothbrush, comb, were all provided. Shower was great, with lots of hot water. The toilet room in our room had a rather musty drain smell, something we found pretty common across our stay in China. There was some slight smoke smell in the hallway but fortunately none in the room, which was something I had been concerned about.
Reception and house keeping staff including house keeper Xiao Jiang were all kind, friendly and attentive and more than willing to use translation apps to help communicate with us non-Chinese speakers. Location was excellent. We were provided with suggested routes for walking the mountain given the time we had, and given regular weather updates via WeChat. Warm coats and are a flashlight are provided in the room if you need them. Although we didn't utilize them, the hotel arranges free sunrise and sunset walking tours from the lobby led by one of their staff.
Breakfast (included) was all buffet based and dinner (paid extra) we had the buffet option. Being buffets allowed for huge portions, which can be useful after long tiring days on the mountain, many people with multiple heaped plates on their tables. Quality was only decent rather than excellent, and dinner was relatively expensive, but as I had relatively muted expectations I was really quite happy with it. Be aware the breakfast and dinner serving times are quite limited and be sure to get there on the earlier end. Dinner time was 18:30-20:30 at by 19:45 things were already starting to stop being restocked or put away.
Overall very happy with out stay. It was a great base to allow us to have an extended exploration of the mountain as opposed to having a rushed day trip.
VvanThis hotel is a gem in Tunxi that I found on Trip.com. We regret not staying here for 2 nights at the start of our 4 day trip in Huangshan at the start of Chinese New Year in Jan. 2023 because it is near the Huangshan Bei (North) high speed train station (25 min drive by Didi) and an easy travel to the Yungpu cable car (about 45 min.) to access the mountain. I contacted the hotel and connected on Wechat and the English speaking receptionist Xiao Xi (he is an amazing host and an ambassador for this hotel) answered my questions and sent me the taxi/Didi location. When we arrived we received a warm English welcome and an unexpected upgrade to a spacious gorgeous, already heated room with a huge bath, and shower overlooking the river. Our original room price included breakfast, which was a mix of Chinese and Western choices. I recommend trying the preserved tofu. First time I tried it; it resembles blue cheese, and is surprisingly tasty. We loved the Japanese style design of the hotel. The hotel is situated conveniently near the promenade adjacent the river, Luping cobbled stoned shopping street and Tunxi ancient street. Xiao personally guided us to these streets and made some dinner suggestions. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and had a lovely meal of sushi and ramen. The hotel has many areas designed for guests to relax inside, and outside where you can have cups of tea on the house. It also has a library room where you can relax reading a book or just have a cup of tea. They also offer tea ceremonies which is included in the room price. The swimming pool is an added bonus if you visit in summer. The promenade and shopping street can be accessed from the gate at the outdoor seating area on the roof as well. I definitely recommend staying a night or two in this beautifully designed hotel with friendly staff and service in English and Chinese. The locals were friendly and a sandwich and coffee at the FFFFF cafรฉ is a must. It is one of the most delicious roasted sandwiches (we call them jaffles) I have eaten in China. In the evening you can visit one of many wine houses, clubs or bars in Luping or Tunxi Old street, or just walk around and enjoy the scenery. We don't regret visiting in winter. It was chilly outside but we experienced windless days and nights making it a pleasant experience walking around.
