Xiao Li is really helpful, provided a lot of guidance during the stay. Hotel have staffs who will bring you to the nearest mountain to catch sunset/sunrise

I had an amazing stay at Shilin Hotel. It was in the perfect location that lends itself to beautiful views both in the evening and early in the morning. My Chinese was not very good (I only had a few words) but they were really accommodating and made me feel and home. Saw the most magnificent sunset and subsequently sunrise the next morning. They even gave me a flashlight and a big coat so I would stay warm. I was surprised by how good the food was - the buffet format means that you have a range of options and after a long days hike it's exactly what you need. The shower was also lovely, warm and powerful which was a surprise as you're so high up the mountain. Would 100% recommend this small but mighty hotel. Also, Xiao was so lovely and was there if I had any questions! 5 stars to to this hotel xxx Róise
