A wonderful hotel experience like no other! This is a small castle hotel with a history of about 500 years with dozens of acres of lawns and woods, warm service staff and castle owners. The room is quiet, clean and comfortable, and the equipment is made in France. The breakfast is good and the local fruits are delicious. The castle is full of monuments and decorations, giving it a strong sense of history. The door is usually closed, which is different from ordinary hotels. Before arriving, you need to contact the hotel by email and phone number in advance to get the password to enter the door. After pressing the password, the door will open automatically, which is more interesting.

Gaël est aussi accueillant et agréable que son château est magnifique . Nous avons logé dans le gîte . Tout était parfait . La visite du château est une des plus intéressantes que nous ayons faites en terme d’histoire et d’anecdotes . Le parc est hyper bien entretenu, la piscine est magnifique . Lieu A découvrir .

Nous avons pu passer six nuits dans ce lieu magnifique. Le calme, la belle vue sur le Cosson et les vignobles. Avec le gazouillis du rossignol ou le coassement apaisant des grenouilles, on pouvait laisser son esprit vagabonder. Gaël et Cécile et leur équipe, hôtes merveilleux et extrêmement prévenants, ont complété le tout. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux, surtout le crumble de fruits chauds qui nous a permis de commencer la journée en douceur. La liste des restaurants que vous avez établie était super, nous avons toujours eu un excellent repas. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Probably the best part of our 3 week trip throughout France in 2023. Gaël and Cécile along with their team were the most gracious & accommodating anyone could be. With this being the first time the Loire Valley, we did a lot of exploring in the beautiful countryside. That being said, I'd go back in a heart beat and spend much more time to relax at the chateau itself. Highly, highly recommend and plan to return in the future.

Magical stay at a fabulous chateau in beautiful grounds. The team were amazing, incredibly welcoming and helpful and we even had a tour of the chateau with information about the history of the area. Great breakfast. Lovely comfortable drawing room with log burner and the bedroom was beautiful.

As always, a wonderful stay at Château des Grotteaux. It is a superb place, inspired, quiet and close to all the treasures of the Loire Valley. Cécile and Gaël are charming hosts and good advice for visits (this time they introduced us to the Château de Talcy), restaurants, etc. We will come back, of course.
