Good location, very clean room, nice staff. Onsite restaurant, good coffee machine and coffee in the room, but no microwave in the room.

This Lodge stay was our favourite part of the 2 week road trip. 3 nights, would’ve booked 5 if we had known. Rooms were completely fine, clean and well equipped. Location (with walks from the door) was our favourite thing. Surrounded by Sequoia, birds, chipmunks etc. just a fantastic place and ideal for hiking and as a base to visit Kings Canyon and surrounding areas. The Lodge stands separately from the restaurant and shop, just a very short walk. Both of these were used and they were really very good. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Absolutely loved it.

This is a motel (Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn caliber). They have tried to dress it up with some faux woodsy details. There are not many choices in Kings Canyon, Sequoia & the surrounding area. This is in Kings Canyon National Park & was the least expensive option at just over $250/night. The room had a fridge & coffee maker. They have one microwave in the lobby that we didn't know about until we arrived. I was a bit taken aback by no maid service in the room. We had hung out towels back to show that we were happy to re-use them in keeping with their Green initiative but the beds were unmade. Maybe it was because it was October and they had no help left??? They had a beautiful fireplace in lobby but no fire in it. Lot's of board games and unlike a lot of other hotels quite a few people were enjoying the lobby. Restaurant(singular) was down the hill & mediocre. It got boring after two nights. In the end it was a good choice & would stay again if I ever return.

The location was perfect for exploring the park. The rooms in the lodge were very nice and conveniently located. Since it was late in the season, there was only one option for dining but that had what we needed. There were plenty of outlets in the room for charging our devices. The room was equipped with the necessary amenties.

Found this disappointing .. always going to be pricey due to the great location, I accept that, but the general condition of the room was poor, broken blind.. unable to open, terrible shower, low water pressure and scalding hot then tepid. Shabby and tired fixtures and fittings. Dining facilities were a 10 min walk away .. no problem but again overpriced and poor quality. I imagine this was once a lovely venue but is now very tired and not worth the hefty price… considering the far superior lodge 45 minutes away, where the in house dining was very good and the general ambiance was considerably better … my advice … keep driving . What a shame .. the only saving grace is the location to which it sadly trades on at a vastly inflated price.

Nice location but no AC and microwave in room. Accommodations average. Our view was not pleasant overlooking the parking lot, but the community porch was nice.  The food at the lodge was average and you have to order via a kiosk.  The strangest thing in the hotel lobby area was a couple sleeping on the sofas there for 2 nights. It was not a comfortable feel to go in the lobby in the morning and evening seeing vagabonds there.  Not sure what the situation was but management or someone should have not allowed that.

We stayed at this lodge while visiting the King Canyon area. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. We had dinner in the lodge and it was good. We would definitely recommend this lodge when you are in the Kings Canyon area. We had breakfast at the lodge also which was good.

Stayed in main building. Room decent size. Bed comfortable. Found the lighting dim and never managed to get the bedside light to work. Not many electrical outlets though the alarm clock had USB outlets. Shower was excellent and the towels were thick. My phone managed to pick up wifi in my room but my laptop couldn’t – there were lots of people in the lobby glued to their devices. No lift to upper floor. Coffee maker and fridge in room. Restaurant down the road – walkable or a couple of minutes drive.

Kings Canyon and Sequoia NP are a long way from any city, so the ability to stay in the park itself was our motivation for staying here. The accommodations were fine, with a common space offering coffee every morning. The location was an hour from the two areas we wanted to see- Giant Forest in Sequoia and Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon. There was a lovely balcony with rocking chairs on the back side and in the front of the hotel. The restaurant, walkable from the hotel, is a self serve kiosk ( I’m sure due to difficulty of getting staff in the middle of no where!) but we found the food good! Yes, it’s a little overpriced, but again consider the location. I would stay here again.
