The Golden Lion Hotel

Wonderful cozy hotel! Stayed here with my daughter. We had a double room, lovely and warm on a cold day. Had breakfast in restaurant which had a beautiful christmas tree, and buffett type/ cooked breakfast was amazing and set us up for the day! Staff were polite and helpful when i asked for extra pillow it was delivered at my room within minutes. Will certainly book with them again, absolutely loved it!

I dined in the bar at the Golden Lion hotel, whilst passing through on a cycle ride. Expecting standard pub grub, I was highly impressed by the Mushroom and spinach truffle linguine. The food was exceptional, as was the local IPA. Highly recommended.

We went to the Golden Lion for a drink. There was 10 of us in the group so we were spending quite a bit of money. The behaviour of the staff was poor. We were also misinformed about promotional offers We would not go back again This pub has a brilliant location and could be wonderful. Such a shame that the staff let it down

We have just stayed at the Golden Lion, it was lovely!. I booked pretty last minute and the woman on reception who I spoke to was so helpful and friendly, She helped us book the correct room for 2 adults and a child. The room we stayed in was modern, comfy and one of the nicest rooms we’ve stayed in. The bed was massive and really comfy. We didn’t have the best view (Not a problem for us) as the room/place more than made up for that, when we book again we’d definitely book a Sea view room, as the view from the bar was lovely. Breakfast was well done with a variety of options, the food itself was yummy and hot. My little girl had the best time and was sad to leave. Staff were helpful, polite and professional. Thankyou for the lovely stay.

The Golden Lion Hotel is in an excellent position overlooking the coast and has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. Our room was a good size overlooking the sea with a large comfortable bed and bathroom containing a double sized shower area. The dining area and bar in the hotel are spacious and a conservatory looking seaward is in the process of being added (soon to be completed), further improving the facilities. We really enjoyed the food at breakfast and dinner. Most importantly the staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning soon.

I really can’t praise this hotel highly enough. Although our room didn’t have a sea view, it was immaculate and spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were the friendliest, ever. On our way home, on the Tuesday, I realized that one of my ear rings was missing, so we phoned the hotel and asked if they would kindly check the room as it was of great sentimental value to me. The staff didn’t just check the room, they emptied the vacuum cleaner, found my ear ring (and even the butterfly) and it was back with me (in the Midlands) on Friday. I think that was the best service ever, and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you to all at the wonderful Golden Lion, Hotel, Hunstanton.

Great location smack bang in the centre of town, we was allowed to park our car in the car park before our checking in time, check in was easy and the staff are very accommodating, had a double room with a sea view , room was charm and comfortable, paid for a breakfast a boy we wasn’t disappointed, cereal, fruit juice, full English and avocado muffin with poached egg, toast and tea and coffee

From the moment I arrived at this hotel I was welcomed by all the staff, they were all so lovely and friendly! The hotel is located right in the middle of everything, the beach is a 30 second walk away and shops literally across the road! The outside of the hotel looks clean and really lovely, there is places to sit and eat outside as well. When you get inside there is a bar with an amazing view, a tv and quite a few tables to sit and enjoy. The place is so clean and kept tidy at all times I could not see one single thing that was dirty which is really amazing! The downstairs toilets were immaculate and kept clean all day and night. There is a restaurant which we did not try this time however the restaurant looked nice to sit in, we did not eat as we felt there was not much choice on what to eat and we did not think we would enjoy anything on there, as well as the price was a bit much in my opinion. When we checked in it was super easy and we had a really lovely woman who helped us as we did not book parking but she sorted that out for us! (Remember to reserve parking as you will not find a space and will have to pay in another car park near beach) we got our keys and she offered to take our bags and help which was really lovely, I wish I got her name! The rooms are amazing!! Me and my partner had a standard double room and it was spacious clean and the furniture and interior was really elegant. There was not one spec of dust anywhere not even on the top of tv and wardrobes. The carpet has been kept clean and everything was tidy! They have towels for you and a heated towel rack which is a lovely addition, as well as in the bathroom there is a light up mirror. There is a lot of space in wardrobes for you to keep clothes, a hairdryer and fan also kept inside them. Overall, we were really happy staying here and I believe it was the nicest hotel I have ever been too! The location is brilliant and the staff are all amazing.
