Beiyue Yijing Hotel

No comment on the location as we didn’t check out the town. The room looked just like the pictures and nicely decorated, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The soundproofing is absolutely terrible. I couldn’t sleep at all because of a constant flushing noise that started around 10 PM and went on non stop until morning. It was incredibly frustrating and made for a sleepless night. They mentioned it is AC sound but I switched it completely off yet the flushing sound didn’t stop… The bathroom was another major letdown. It had a very unpleasant odor, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in ages. There is AI to control the room but not helpful if you can’t read Chinese. Struggled with translator and to be honest it was more cumbersome to have that because that was the only thing controlling the AC and it’s in Chinese. I chose this hotel thinking that a higher price would mean better quality, but despite being one of the more expensive options in the area, it was extremely disappointing. On a more positive note, the service was decent… the staff were friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast spread was surprisingly good, with a decent variety and well-cooked options. Still, despite the good service and breakfast, I wouldn’t stay here again. A hotel should provide a restful night’s sleep, and this one simply doesn’t. The entire property is in need of refurbishment, especially the soundproofing. Until that’s addressed, I can’t recommend it.

Nice family run friendly place. Great food in the hotel restaurant, both in the evening and breakfast. Would definitely go again. Great shower too.
