I stayed at this brand new hotel at the University of Maryland and had a wonderful time. It is conveniently located to visit the university, but it is also very simple to go to DC using the Metro, which I did. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The WiFi is strong enough for video calls and work. The staff was very kind, including the cleaning staff.

This hotel, although, conveniently located, is on a very, very, very busy street. Very close to the University, and a lot of fun places to eat and hang out, but it comes at the cost of being in an ever so slightly “shady” area. Once inside the hotel, you forget about all of it, and the staff do an excellent job of making you feel welcome and this older property. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that it is conveniently located to the green line, but we were unprepared for all of the fees associated with parking and riding in to DC. We wish we would have reserved parking lot in town and just driven.

Totally nonresponsive to our booking needs. We clearly communicated our needs for a handicap room as well as a double room to accommodate 3 family members. Nothing was as ordered when we arrived an hour past check in time. The handicap room had a tub when we requested a walk in shower. There was absolutely no storage in the room or bathroom. There was no safe in the room. We were told that this was how all handicap rooms were. There was no soap in the room. It took two requests from housekeeping to get soap and the head of housekeeping totally contradicted the front desk and said she would get us a room to meet our needs. At 10:30 pm we had to repack all our luggage and move to another room. This room did have a walk-in shower, a small free standing set of drawers in the bathroom, no other storage and a safe that was unreachable and literally on top of what is euphemistically called a closet. All this for only $250 a night, 3 rooms for 3 nights. Not an insignificant amount of money. The only accommodation we received after asking was a free buffet breakfast which was comparable to a Holiday Inn Express, adequate but certainly not lavish. Also because one person made the reservation they would not award loyalty points to anyone else even though we all paid for our own rooms. It shouldn’t be that complicated to change this request.

This was my first stay in a capsule. I admit that I thought one would enter from the side instead of the end, not that this seemed to be a problem. I like the idea of being ensconced in a cocoon but I realise this isn’t for everyone. In dorm room situations I always prefer a lower bunk, the upper bunks can be more awkward. Unsurprisingly, the same applies here. Anyway, I put the pillow down the far end and climbed in head first. You ‘seal’ your capsule by pulling down the blind at the end. I am not claustrophobic in any way but found I had to keep the blind open for ventilation. There did appear to be ways to adjust the temperature but due to a busy travel schedule I didn’t get a chance to ask staff about this. This hotel uses Goki, this app that lets you scan yourself into the building and the rooms instead of typing in a room code. It has other functions as well. It is worth getting the Goki app as the door codes are changed periodically for security reasons but Goki should always scan you in once you’ve set it up. I thought that $5 for the laundry was a little much and I’m not sure how they ascertained who had paid and who hadn’t since you just walked in. Laundry detergent was included in the $5 charge and when I asked where I would find it they said it would be set out but I couldn’t find it anywhere so I had to track down a staff member. I’m glad to have finally checked ‘sleep in a capsule’ off the list.

I been going to this hotel for 2 yrs every month for a staycation to get away. This one time hotel guests arguing in hallway disturbing guests cops called. Cops came bck 2nd night banging on guest door wellness check. I stayed 2 nights no rest, noise & scared 1st night for my safety because of arguing in hallway. It's so ghetto there now! I'm told by Mgr or night supervisor I can get refund at checkout or at least half but Mgr Pricilla Harris refused she offered me points but no money back or free night. I always stayed on 2nd floor only once 1st floor. I would have stayed 1 night on 1st floor near entrance ONLY. I believe I'm owed all or half refund for 1 night my rest was disturb I was terrified entire night. It's straight Ghetto now. They lost a loyal customer because I'll never go to that location again at Hampton Park Blvd in Capital Heights MD

I had such a great experience at the Doubletree by Hilton at Laurel! My room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The service was top notch! The room was very disgusting and staff were very rude, it’s unacceptable. I would like a refund please…I shouldn’t have to keep complaining about bugs in the room or how unclean it was. They didn’t really help me resolve my issue.

On the outside it is not inspiring. There is construction going on and it's tucked in between like a car dealership and other non-hotel businesses. I was worried as I drove up. But inside, it's its own little world. It is EXTREMELY clean. The breakfast was actually satisfying and the staff were friendly. The room was great. The only thing I would like to see is, as they replace their mini-fridges, that they use ones that have a separate freezer compartment. We had some frozen things we wanted to stay frozen, and the back wall of the mini-fridge was not up to the task. We slept great and it was conveniently located for where we needed to be. Very fair pricing as well.

小小黑兔TurboIn Motel mode, the room has a large bed and good bedding, but the air conditioner is too loud, and it will start and stop automatically.
Breakfast is a typical American family fast food, milk fruit drink muffin omelette basically these, it is self-service.
When I checked in, the front desk was an older lady, very friendly and polite. I got off the plane from Washington and drove all the way to get a foothold and felt very warm.
There is a small courtyard where you can park for free. Not far from HIGHWAY, it is more convenient to drive in and out.

GGuest UserStayed as a quick getaway after working a couple days of long shifts. EVERYTHING that could go wrong, DID go wrong. Check in was smooth & pleasant. Room was clean & comfortable. Unpacked, about to shower and heard heavy drops of water. Went to investigate & had 2 dripping water pockets directly above shower. Immediately reported & was moved down the hallway to ntire stay, but a room that was just as comfortable & clean, yet the bed wasn't completely made. Had 2 report that. Housekeeper was friendly & sweet, but she entered my room without knocking. She was very apologetic. Staff was supposed to assist me in moving from room 2 room since I had unpacked. They did NOT. Didnt settle into my room until 2 hrs AFTER checking in. I was exhausted. Next day I reported to Mgr. Was told that she was on the phone. She NEVER reached out 2 me, so I went 2 front desk where I found her. I felt under valued & unimportant as she did not give me her undivided attention as she continued tapping away on the computer as I explained to her what had . In the end, she offered like a $55 discount on my entire stay. I accepted, but to be honest, my 1st night should've been FREE. I did sleep comfortably however, and I felt safe knowing that due 2 locked security doors, outsiders couldn't simply walk through to elevators and wander the halls. Great location, as well. I hv pics & video.
