I had a U3A lunch at the Boathouse today, which was was excellent. The food was varied beautifully served and extremely tasty. Service was spot on, considering there were a lot of people. - about 50 I think. everyone enjoyed their lunch and desserts were delicious. finished off with tea or coffee. Staff were excellent and helpful. Would highly recommend. thank you all at the staff for a job well done with a smile.

Always very friendly and relaxed. Good service and very good food. We had a curry and gammon meals and both very nice, cooked and presented well. The menu caters for most tastes. The dessert menu could be a bit more varied and cheaper but overall recommended.

First impressions poor, no reception but a bell to call, no-one came, the reason was they were behind a bar serving drinks, I had to go to the bar, seemed very short staffed and they were multi tasking different departments. Room was ok nice view ofcourse, but outdoor decking all tired looking and not very welcoming, water and biscuits supplied the first day but not the second despite it being very hot. Booked bed and breakfast but couldn't have it, as breakfast was not served till 8, which is way too late if you are there for business. Cleanliness not great dirty towel, fingerprints on windows. Food was ok. Staff were friendly but they simply didn't have the time to look after you

I wouldn’t come back here again. The cocktails need some improvement and also there’s not much choice. The food was nice and good value for money. One of the staff members Ava is rude and needs some training on how to treat customers. I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

31 members of our Lunch Club for 60 to 96 year olds visited for lunch on 17th June 2024. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Friendly, efficient & great empathy with our members. Food fantastic. Our experience couldn’t have been better.

Had a lovely meal at The Boathouse yesterday with my father, the food was lovely and all of the staff were very attentive and kind. Couldn't fault anything. There nothing we could fault, all at a reasonable cost, we will most definitely be back

Went here with family, went in without booking and they were very accommodating as there were 8 of us and 2 small dogs. The dogs are only allowed in the bar area. The bar/manager very helpful. We shared 2 platters and whilst slow coming out, they were very nice and plentiful. The mains were quicker arriving and again were very good.

Ordered beans on toast, and tea with oat milk. Served tea with cows milk, and beans on toast with cheese. Told them I didn’t order cheese. Then served beans on bread, not toasted. Complained calmly and was told I didn’t need to shout.
