Hotels near Fita Ibicentro, Ibiza

This was my fifth stay in eight years at the usually brilliant Simbad. The staff are all lovely, particularly restaurant staff and cleaners. The breakfast buffet is extensive, the rooms are comfortable, the hotel is modern and clean and the view is incredible. We have kept coming back - including a visit with 15 friends last year for a special birthday - because everything has always been great. Until now. It’s no exaggeration to say our holiday was ruined this year and we will think twice about returning again. The only issue is the bizarre pool policy that seems to allow countless non-residents to use the facility whenever they wish, despite a sign saying the pool area is exclusively for the use of guests only. What should be an oasis of calm and restfulness looking out over the beautiful Talamanca bay is now ruined by scores of people who aren’t staying at the hotel using the pool. In a response to another review complaining about this, the hotel director replied seeming to imply there’s nothing they can do about it as the pool is on public land. Maybe something there is lost in translation - I don’t see why someone couldn’t operate an entrance gate to control numbers and noise. The problem was bad during the day while we were there, but particularly awful during the afternoon/evening from about 4-8pm. The pool used to close at 6pm, which seemed odd but maybe this helped, as it’s now open well past 8pm. I appreciate this complaint may sound petty or entitled, but I simply think that the pool should be for the use of residents only, in line with any other hotel I’ve stayed in all over the world. Unfortunately the current situation sees people turning up in droves, failing to use the showers and jumping straight in the pool. I twice saw babies with their nappies being taken off on sun loungers then put into swimming attire without swim nappies, then going straight into the pool. The noise level from children screaming, shouting and repeatedly jumping into the pool is totally unacceptable and not only punctuates the calm around the pool area but also across the front of the whole hotel, including the lovely bar and balconies. The pool area capacity is stated as 40 - yesterday evening I counted 32 non residents, the day before there was 22 children in the pool. You can see from the website it’s a very small pool area. At one point this meant there wasn’t enough loungers for residents and being around the pool was akin to being at a kids club throughout the evening. This isn’t the usual and understandable sound of a few children playing in a swimming pool on holiday, it’s like a whole classroom of children all set loose at the same time There was even a visible divide with residents at one end of the area, as far away from the noise as possible, and everyone else at the other end. We had 2 nights here on way to Formentera. We had a seaview room with a balcony which was amazing. Almost on the beach, fantastic views. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on the food. Staff were friendly and rooms were spotless. Perfectly situated for restaurants and bars and some very good bakery/ cafes where we got breakfast just a couple of roads away. A 15 min walk away from centre and the castle, so perfect! Given hotel a 4* rather than a 5* as it is a little tired and worn in places but would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay at the Riomar, beautifully designed and in a perfect location on the beach. The staff make this hotel what it is, they work extremely hard to deliver an excellent service. Food is great- lots of variety at breakfast. We also ate there for lunch which was also excellent. My only point would be to build steps from the breakfast dining area to create a walkway directly from the breakfast area to the outdoor deck rather than having to walk through reception with your breakfast. Fantastic hotel though and would definitely stay here again next time we visit Ibiza.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a cool corner room. The room was small, but decently comfortable. The air conditioning struggled to get below a certain temperature and it seemed the thermostat did not actually reflect the room temperature. The huge ocean front deck was amazing! There was a large outdoor couch, coffee table, lounge chair, and arm chair. The lamp that was provided did not work (apparently the plug outside was broken) but they brought us one of those portable table lamps from the restaurant when we decided to order room service and eat out there. Service is friendly and definitely well-meaning but it seems they are either understaffed or just need a little more training to be up to 5 star standards. It wasn’t a dealbreaker though. We had a chance to try the new beach club and it’s great! Food was excellent and so was the service. The beach itself was okay (a lot of seaweed floating and rocky). The location itself was really great! The town it’s in has a lot to see and do with a lot of shops and restaurants. There is a boardwalk along the beach that’s super popular for strolling along and runs the length of the town. We had a car so we were able to easily drive around to visit the other towns on the island and visit the different markets. It’s not the best W hotel we have stayed in but I think there is a lot of potential. If you are going to be in Ibiza it’s a good choice!

2nd stay here in this beautiful hotel. We booked direct with free cancellation. Upgraded to a huge suite when we arrived with separate lounge 2 terraces! What an amazing treat! Also came back after day of relaxing by the pool to a bottle of cava and a note to say thank you for returning! Really appreciate theses perks, makes it feel special. The actual hotel is beautiful, no kids which makes it such a calm quiet retreat. The pool on roof amazing. No rush for a sunbed, always a bed or cabana available whatever time you get up there. Breakfast is so delicious and the choice is out of this works, we would sit for a good hour and leisurely enjoy the food and ambiance. Beds are huge and very comfortable views in all rooms are sea view. The staff here are so attentive but not overbearing. Will help with anything from bits needed for room to restaurant recommendations. Lovely happy helpful people. I really cant wait to return, hopefully in September! Pros: - It's and adult only hotel, thus it better suits for solo travelers and couples - Friendly ladies at the reception - Some barmen are friendly and polite - Clean rooms in general - Balconies in the room - A pool with many spare sunbeds - A decent Wi-Fi connection - Close to the embankment - Free entrance to the nearby O Beach Club before 3 pm Cons: - Super tiny gym located in common area - Some barmen are chummy (fraternizing) with customers. They require training in manners indeed - The breakfast a la carte was so-so. I tried several options, both the taste and the quality were mediocre - I had to request cleaning 3 (!) times on my 4th day of stay. There was no cleaning in my room before - The wooden keycard was deactivated several times, so had to visit the reception for replacement - Some groups of youngsters behaved like animals. On the other hand, it's Ibiza..

The service is excellent, as are the facilities. They also give you the possibility, the day you leave, to spend the whole day in the hotel and take a shower before leaving (they provide you with towels, shampoo...). The location is good, it is not the center of Ibiza but it is very close to Cala Gracioneta and Cala Saladeta, supermarkets and all kinds of services.

Fabulous hotel in a great location - away from the bars and clubs but just across the bay in a water taxi (right outside the hotel) and we walked back - about 20 minutes. The hotel is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We were half board and the food was fantastic - freshly cooked, very tasty and lots of choice. We upgraded to the one club which included access to a private area with snacks and drinks (soft and alcoholic) from 12-8pm. The room, however was a lot smaller than we expected for the price we paid. There was no chair, apart from a swinging chair which is more of a feature and very little storage. There were plenty of very comfortable sunbeds so no need to get up ridiculously early to reserve them. The DJs and music are a nice addition and not too loud, so you can actually have a conversation while listening. The staff were all very helpful and friendly especially Monica in the one club. Definitely worth a visit

I stayed here with a couple of friends for a long weekend. We had a fantastic stay. Our aim was to rest and relax and we certainly did. Food was good, plenty of choice, we really enjoyed the tasty salads, pancakes in the morning and the omelette station, to name a few. Staff were really polite and helpful. Only negative was the size of room, we stayed in a triple superior and we found not enough space to hang our clothes so had to live out of suitcase, not a real issue for a weekend would have been more irritating after 2 weeks…. Wouldn’t stop me coming back though. Leo and Christina and the entertainment team were amazing. Leo is very funny. The Halloween show they put on was amazing, you could tell they had put a lot of effort into it. Looking forward to my next visit.

My wife and I stayed here for a week this month and had a terrific time. The room was very comfortable and the aircon was spectacular (we were able to set it nice and cold which was need on the super hot days!). As it is a new hotel, the beds, towels and furnishings were all very new. As with many great hotels, the staff really went the extra mile to make us happy and we often relaxed around the extremely clean and tidy pool. We stayed half board and supper was served next door in the Club hotel. The restaurant there is beautiful and has stunning views across the bay. The food at breakfast and for supper was excellent. A nice combination of buffet and very well cooked a la carte dishes. Evening entertainment in the club was brilliant - some great musicians, magicians and dance (with fire!) performances. Every evening we were pleasantly suprised by the professional nature of them all. San Miguel is a quiet little bay and if you want a ”get away for it all” vacation, then this will suit perfectly. Without doubt, we will go back and look forward to experiencing more of the same!
