Lovely comfortable hotel located in a prime spot - right around the corner from the center of town and a couple of blocks from the Menin Gate - but not on a busy street. The staff were fabulous - so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing. I would certainly choose it again.

This hotel is in a central position in Ypres with a secure car park and a lockable garage for motorbikes and pedal cycles. It is owned and run by a family who treat their guests as part of their family. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they go out of their way to give you an enjoyable stay. I have just returned from my third stay and will definitely be going back

We couldn't fault our stay, it is family run and it shows in the effort they make to ensure everything is perfect, spotlessly clean ,our room with modern en suite was absolutely lovely , furnished with care and thought, continental breakfast was wonderful with a great choice, restaurant recommendations were great, everyone was very kind and helpful, without doubt for the price the best hotel we have ever stayed in, great location , definitely pay for the hotel parking it makes life easy , we have already decided to return , cannot recommend highly enough

This is such a lovely hotel in an excellent location. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. I would definitey recommend this hotel if you're going to Ypres. It's just literally round the corner from The Menin Gate.

Thank goodness for Sat Nav but after a very twisty and turny drive through Ypres we found the hotel without any trouble. The hotel car park at the back was a real bonus not to be underestimated. Reception staff were very welcoming and there was not language barrier. They were extremely helpful, especially with regard to telling us to go early to the Menin Gate for the Last Post as it gets very busy. The room was clean, bed comfy and bathroom big and well equipped. Breakfast was well laid out, continental breakfast and or scrambled egg & toast as well as the usual cereal and fruit alternatives. Location to the Menin Gate was perfect, 5 minutes or so walking distance. Highly recommend a visit to the WW1 Flanders museum which we found very interesting. Recommend this hotel on all count

I’ve stayed here on several occasions and never been disappointed. This family run hotel is amazing, the location is central, with everything within easy walking distance. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, making it a very relaxed experience.

Our stay at the Albion was a pleasure from start to finish. We received a really warm welcome at this family run hotel, which has a great location, being just a few minutes' walk from the main square of Ieper, the Menin Gate and numerous bars and restaurants. The public areas were smartly appointed and our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and warm. The plentiful buffet breakfast was really good too, featuring local meats and cheeses, great scrambled eggs and, again, excellent service. Whilst there is street parking for motorbikes in Ieper, we preferred to use the hotel's secure garage, which was available for a small charge. There is also chargeable. barriered parking for cars. In our view, this hotel punches above its weight and we were impressed with the friendly, efficient service we received. We will definitely return if in the area again.

I think when major renovation is going on we should have been told!!! Although when k asked they gave us parking free there was no offer of discount or something in lieu. We were awoken at 745am by banging on our floor.
The hotel is very conveniently positioned, walking distance from everything. The receptionist who looked after us was lovely & a sensed a little embarrassed.

If you should visit Ypres (or Leper to use the Belgian name) there is only one place to stay - and that is the Albion Hotel. This was my 3rd visit over 2 years and I am greeted like a family member by the delightful and charming co-owner Ruth. The rooms are tasteful and outstandingly comfortable, with many amenities usually found in 4 and 5 star hotels. I totally respect the management decision not to provide a restaurant facility, as there are countless restaurants in the nearby historically square, which residents would no doubt prefer to explore. That said, they provide superb breakfast facilities that would not disappoint the most fastidious guest. For the motorist, there are excellent secure parking facilities with barrier access using the electronic room key. My personal rating of this outstanding hotel would 4 star.
