Not the best way to experience Crete
Good location on beach, coffee, tea & kettle in room but amazingly no creamer? When asked, receptionist said they don't provide creamer...so why bother with tea & coffe then? Buffet plentiful, food okay for mass tourism. We were all inclusive but ate all but 2 of our meals elsewhere. Pool & beach always busy, lots of kids. Animation team were good and water sports were highlight of our 1 week stay. Recommended if you like all-inclusive, have a big family and aren't interested in experiencing the real Crete.

Leider hat unsere Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert. Nach versuchter Reparatur ging sie 5 Minuten. Weitere Reklamation wurde nicht beachtet. Daher sind wir nach einer Nacht angereist

Very nice, perfect for family
Very nice family vacation at Petra Mare.
The staff is excellent, very friendly.
Hotel is very modern and the location couldn’t be better although very remote from the airport.
We enjoyed the beach where we didn’t have difficulties finding long chairs. Our 2 boys enjoyed the disco parties, we enjoyed a nice massage. Food was very decent, very diverse although we had dinner once outside in the city as we got a bit tired of it. The only negative point was on some of the guests of the hotel who were starring at us like we are Aliens (we were the only Afro family) which we got tired of towards the end of our stay.

Maggio in relax e divertimento
Abbiamo pernottato nella struttura alberghiera Petra Mare nel mese di maggio la struttura è assolutamente perfetta per un viaggio con bambini l’animazione guidata da Salvatore è stata impeccabile, allegri, disponibili e divertenti. Il servizio di ristorazione è ottimo e molto vario sia per adulti che per bambini. Consiglio assolutamente questa struttura!

Bon séjour en famille l'an passé. En mai cette année nous avons réservé les mêmes trois appartements, parce qu'ils étaient spacieux, avec une mini-cuisine, côte à côte en rez-de-chaussée, avec terrasse et accès direct à la plage. Une dizaine de jours avant notre arrivée, on nous annonce un problème de "double réservation" et un déclassement en chambres en étage, beaucoup plus petites (à quatre c'était plutôt camping qu'hôtel) et moins commodes en famille. Après moultes discussions au check-in, on a obtenu une chambre à part pour les ados et le retour dans un appartement pour une famille. Nous n'avons pas eu d'explications sur les critères de choix des déclassés, notamment pas la date de réservation des uns et des autres. Une boulette de cette taille aurait dû faire l'objet d'un geste commercial fort. On nous a proposé un "spa" gratuit (c'est bien pour 3 à 76 ans) et un repas "à la carte" (c'est bien en Crète). Au check-out, nouvelle âpre discussion, réduction dérisoire de 25 euros, portant la différence chambre-appartement à 50 euros pour 4 nuits. Tout ça a complètement gâché un séjour qui aurait pu être bien par ailleurs.

L'hotel è molto curato, soprattutto per quanto riguarda le zone hall, bar e ristoranti. Dispone di grandi piscine e molto ma molto attrezzato per la vacanza con i bambini. Il cibo è ottimo, un po' ripetitivo ma vista l'enorme quantità di piatti disponibili non c'è da lamentarsi. L'unica pecca è che se si scende sul tardi alcune portate non sono rimpiazzate. Colazione super. Pulizia dei locali molto buona. Consiglio le camere con vista mare, praticamente è come tuffarcisi dentro.A chi piace mangiare e bere ad ogni ora questo è il posto ideale. La spiaggia è un po' piccola, il mare limpido e blu.

The hotel was put best choice in Greece for all the time! The staff was attentive and extremely kind. Maria, the front office manager is a Gem! The rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern. The Food is amazing! Been so many times on crete in different hotels, but I have never experienced such a brilliant kitchen full of local tasty dishes! There is always something for everyone as the choice is amazingly wide. Fish, seafood, and others. Amazing!!! The beach is pebbly-sandy, but the sea is crystal clear. Good for swimming and usually calm. Animation for kids and adults is great. The southern most city of Europe- Ierapetra is in reach of the hotel, within a walking distance. You can see the Napoleon’s house, the old mosque, have a frappe at the seashore… and many many more…
