Ilheus Hotels with Pools

I reserved the Toroomba resort for the accommodation of 4 adults, one couple and two children aged 18 and 20 years, and the reservation was made for the period from 9 to 13 October 2022 in the full pension and deluxe accommodation scheme. However, when we arrived at the hotel we were surprised by a room below what we had booked all mosquito, full of insect and a bathroom feding to the waste. We stayed here since this was a preferred hotel for family, but we would probably not stay as long the next visit. Please be warned that they had out review cards to people at breakfast who give them positive feedback, and don't to those who give less than positive so the reviews here on trip advisor will be very skewed. (Since I gave mixed comments they did not give me a review card with a trip advisor logo prominently on it.) The price difference between the basic and deluxe rooms was minimal and our friend's room was much nicer for little more. The basic rooms were pricy once we saw what they got for a slight bit more. The positives: - The location was convenient within 10 minutes of the Ilheus airport. - The pools were clean, bathrooms were easily accessible. - The drinks (with alcohol) were excellent, and they were made very quickly after ordering. - They had activities and a playroom for kids, and a game room (although the game room needs maintained better, new equipment, etc). - There were activities for adults like volleyball, water aerobics, and contents where they gave small prizes. - The lunch and dinner menu food was very good always, prices were reasonable. - The beach behind the resort wasn't full so you had a lot of space to enjoy. The waves are rough at times. There are a lot of restaurants about a mile down the beach if you want to go elsewhere for lunch. The negatives: - The rooms were loud to outside noise, people in the hallways were loud throughout the night. - The breakfast was lacking compared to other resorts. Due to the number of people at the hotel, they produced food in mass quantity and the quality of breakfast was low overall. Tables were usually hard to find also. Multiple days when we ordered omelets they didn't get the order right. (using tapioca rather than egg, putting on onions, etc) The juices were extremely watered down, and not good. - The poolside music and master of ceremonies were too loud every day. We complained multiple time. It felt like you were in a college spring break bar. The hotel staff will not pick up empty (plastic) drink glasses from poolside. - It was quite a walk from many of the rooms to the restaurant, pool, etc. - There is not much near the hotel if you walk outside the property. - They also had little or no information on covid testing when it was required to fly back to the USA. So we had to find pharmacies online and walk to them, which there were a few within 1/2 mile. The reception desk really did not have any information on happenings in Ilheus. They had a flyer from a festival going on, but when you asked about it they had no clue. Otherwise the reception desk was pretty helpful. There was free flavored water at check-in at reception, but this was only around check-in time. The hotel should provide this 24 hours daily, it was a nice feature.

The hotel has a good structure. Comfortable room, excellent child area, beautiful garden. But, I was in retirement, whoever wants to take soneca after lunch if you are in the room can forget. Pior All Inclusive( se é que pode ser chamado assim) que já fui, nada de bem estar dos clientes. O preço é o mesmo de outros como o Ocean Palace ou o Salinas, mas pelo valor pago, a qualidade é de pousada 3 estrelas... 1- Uma toalha por dia para o Hóspede ficar na piscina, sem direito a troca. 2- Internet é uma M****, quando consegue conexão, é lenta mas depois de 30 segundos já cai ... e não adianta reclamar, reclamei varias vezes... 3- Não se assuste, mas a água é de galão de 20 litros, isso mesmo, um all inclusive que não fornece água em garrafas nas piscinas, se vc quiser dar uma volta na praia e levar uma água vai passar sede. 4- Refrigerantes são Pepsi, Sukita, Soda e Guaraná antártica, ao meu ver deveria ser COCA, FANTA, SPRITE E Guaraná Antártica, e o pior, é de maquina, vive faltando, pouco gás. Não são latas, isso por ser resort all inclusive. 5- Bebidas alcoólicas limitadíssimas, tem bebida não inclusa( isso mesmo, all inclusive, aconselho perguntar antes de ir as marcas para não haver maior frustração), tem que pagar, inclusive energético. Cerveja e Chopp ficam voltados para dentro do balcão, ou seja, tem que pedir para conseguir, ou seja esperar numa fila desorganizada. 6- Funcionários com cara fechada, sobrecarregados, pois são poucos para atender a quantia de hóspedes. 7- não tem fila para pegar bebidas, e como são poucos funcionários, os mesmos não tem controle de quem chegou primeiro, lentíssimo, desorganizado. 8- O sorvete é uma piada, passa um funcionário com um carrinho, com pouquíssimos sorvetes, ele nem vai até as piscinas... só da uma passada e vai embora, apelidamos de sorvete BAMBAM, acaba em 36 segundos, portanto, se seu filho quiser sorvete na piscina, tem que dar sorte e ficar esperto, se não fica sem... 9- Variedade ridícula de comida no restaurante principal para um resort, não tem picanha, file mignon esquece. Eles colocam em foco um funcionário para picar coxão mole( isso mesmo) como se fosse uma carne de alto padrão. Quanto a qualidade da comida, carne dura e com nervos, camarão descascado??? coloca com casca mesmo, mas pelo menos vem sem cabeça... 10- café da manhã fraquíssimo, os iogurtes são péssimos, suco de uva com gosto de plástico, o suco de laranja você começa a pegar na maquina ele vai clareando até virar água kkkkkk. 11- chuveiro com baixíssima vazão de água, shampoo fica em uma caixa plástica dentro do box, que vc fica batendo toda hora pois o espeço é minúsculo, torneira da pia não tem água quente. Varal de 1 metro para colocar roupas de 4 pessoas... 12- Quarto para 4 pessoas, deixam 3 ou 4 garrafas de água de 500ml, se você pede pra deixar pelo menos 12, o cara que entrega reclama porque foge do padrão kkkkk. 13- Água de coco de galão, isso mesmo, não tem COCO no Resort. 14- Tem um restaurante chamado COCO DENDE, durante a estadia você pode ir uma vez, o cardápio não tem nada de mais... 15- No ato do check-in, te avisam que o check-out é meia dia, mas se você quiser ficar até as 14h para almoçar e u

The place is a cool place, I went with my family and we stayed in the banjo in front of the beach, there's a lot of nature around it, they accept pets and have several foolish chickens walking through the hostel, cats and dogs. The staff are pleasant and educated. The receptionist, Liz, is a lovely one and has treated us very well from our arrival to our exit! Suggestions: improve breakfast, because you really have left a lot of to desire! At 9 a.m. I had almost nothing to eat, the food is over and it is not replacing, and unfortunately that was a negative point, which we could not stop saying. There was a very strong rain during our stay, the Bangalore had some drops, one of them above bed, and another point I think is very important is the operation during the night and morning. I had to talk to the hostel at 00:00 and I could not get it at all, I passed a shock, and another suggestion is to put a ration and water dinner for the kids, cats and dogs they joy the hostel! I particularly loved Bob and the kittens... ..and, at the end of that, it's a good cost benefit and a very pleasant place.

Hotel adjacent to the sea, with good facilities and educated staff, offers a good experience, but it can improve in some aspects. Although it is at the sea side, it does not offer a beach service; the apartment is wide and comfortable, but the lighting is weak and the balcony was without light; the water from the bathroom tower was dirty (maybe by the strong rain), obliged the use of mineral water for oral hygiene; the breakfast items were not rested (café from 6:30 at 10:30 - at 8:30 had already finished, for example, one of the items and we were informed that ”end, it has no more”); the restaurant had items in the cardapio with missing ingredients and dishes that the attendant did not know, as well as missing basic items, such as saches for lunches. These disadvantages, however, did not prevent us from enjoying a good experience, by the beauty of the place and the friendlyness of the staff.
