Love Hotels Voyageur at International Falls MN

My friends and I reserved two rooms, but upon arrival, the clerk informed us they were overbooked and could only provide one room. Despite numerous empty rooms, we were forced to cram all four of us into a single room with only two double beds. The TV didn't work, and there were silverfish bugs in the bathroom. To make matters worse, there was no hot water, and when we asked for extra towels for the additional guests we squeezed in, they refused to accommodate us. Additionally, the ice machine was broken. When I asked for the owner's or senior manager's phone number to address these issues, the local manager refused to provide this information. I strongly recommend others to avoid this hotel based on our terrible experience. This was incredibly disappointing and frustrating, especially since it was late at night and every other nearby motel was fully booked

Our key card didn’t work and no one is here to let us in. Called the emergency number, had to leave a messages, no one ever called back. We called the police. Finally the police came and went room to room trying to find someone. Finally they found someone sleeping that is supposed to work here and we got new keys and got in our room. Nothing was done in our room while we were gone, no towels no coffee replacement, nothing. We will not be back.

Manager was very kind. The reception area is a mess, with stacks of stuff in almost all corners. Tge motel room was musty, smelled like cigarette smoke, dirty carpet, dimly lit, etc. Marketed as smoke-free. Three people in next room smoked heavily in their room and in open room doorway. We dealt with this in our hot, stuffy room. Just an awful experience.

Budget friendly motel. Comfortable beds. Dirty carpet. Smells musty and smokey. Tiny bathroom. The bathroom door didn't close. I would not recommend if the smell of smoke bothers you. Had to run the AC unit the entire stay to get fresh air in the room.

I booked 2 rooms on the OYO website for 157 and 191 dollars over a holiday weekend. I was charged 211 dollars for each. The manager said he could not help me but I could call his manager Derek or customer service. Customer service is outsourced and the representative said they can not fix this problem after an hour of effort. Derek the area manager has a voice mail box that is not set up and would not reply to my calls or text messages. Horrible company that is a stress to deal with on a vacation. The breakfast sucks and the parking lot is too small for trailers.

We found ourselves in quite a predicament and as we walked in the door of the Voyager Motel to explain our situation to an amazing, patient, kind, helpful, caring, considerate and compassionate man behind the counter named Jim. Our room was one of the CLEANEST rooms we have ever stayed at in or even around 56649. Clean, comfortable and incredibly spacious for our family of 3. Thank you to our housekeeper Miss Carol too Jim and Carol have earned a special place in my family's heart. Again thank you so so much♡♡♡ From Aubree, Bill and Titan

Comfortable spot to stop for the night. Room was well equipped with everything we needed with lots of food options nearby. Staff was friendly, would stay again if in the area.
