I believe I was the first guest to stay in my room after its renovation, and I even received a complimentary bottle of red wine! đ Breakfast was simple, but since the city is so close, I don't think it's really necessary. You can even walk to the city center. Just go through the park in front of the hotel, then head down the hill. In about 15 minutes, you'll reach City Hall. It's a straightforward route, so you won't get lost. I had a pancake breakfast at the restaurant in City Hall. The amenities were plentiful, and the shower worked perfectly. Plus, the sunset view from my room was absolutely stunning, allowing me to relax completely, both body and mind. There's also a small chapel right next to the hotel âŞď¸"

"Originally booked a twin double room for me, my wife and our granddaughter as I was working in Brisbane and we wanted a change of scenery for my wife and granddaughter. Unfortunately my granddaughter became ill so my wife and granddaughter stayed at home. When I checked in I advised the hotel that only I would be staying for the two nights. Thinking Id help out the hotel room availability I said Id be happy to downsize, the receptionist asked if Id be ok in an Accessible Room which I accepted. I awoke at 2am thinking it was daytime as the room was lit up. Looked at the time and saw it was 2am then realised there was a large gap (30-40mm)under the door and the corridor lights were illuminating the room. After a bad nightâs sleep I complained to reception who sent up a maintenance person who advised the door had to be like this to clear the sloping floor to the bathroom for wheelchair access. Poor design not an excuse. I asked if I could have my original room and was told Iâd be charged for an upgrade. Told them Iâd done them the favour originally so reception said theyd chat to management and get back to me. I was working late shifts and heard nothing back so had to try to sleep in the room again, packing pillows against the door base but light still made it in. There was also stains on the carpet, curtains also let street light in and when doors were closed in other rooms they clanged shut reminding me of a visit to Alcatraz! Little sleep for the second night. I feel sorry for anyone sleeping in that room in the future"

"The room itself was clean and the stay was fine, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful.
However, the checkout experience completely changed my view of this place. I accidentally checked out late and immediately apologised and asked about any fees. I was first told there wouldnât be a charge, then the owner stepped in and said there would be a $50 late checkout fee, before changing it again and saying it would be waived if we left within five minutes, which we did.
Despite being polite and cooperative throughout, the ownerâs attitude was rude, confrontational, and unnecessarily aggressive. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he made it uncomfortable and seemed more interested in arguing than resolving the issue.
The lack of clear and consistent communication around the $50 fee made the situation even more frustrating.
All around, based on this experience, I would recommend avoiding."

"Here's a breakdown of my experience:
1. **Location:** Fantastic! It's within walking distance to the CBD and Central Station (about a 5-minute stroll), and close to the free City Loop bus. If you're driving, there's free parking, but spots are limited, so late arrivals often have to park temporarily on the street.
2. **Facilities & Experience:** This is a 3.5-star budget-friendly hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious, with some even having balconies. The bedding is comfortable, the free WiFi is stable, and there's a 24-hour front desk. The downsides are that some bathrooms are a bit dated, and street-facing rooms can get some traffic noise.
3. **Service:** The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Luggage storage was smooth, and security felt adequate.
4. **Value for Money:** The price is very reasonable for Brisbane city. It's a great option for business travelers, budget-conscious tourists, and families on a road trip."

"Stayed here for 2 nights. Reception staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was clean and tidy. The food at G floor was delicious and reasonably priced (had the lunch deal). Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
The downsides are that,
1) the hotel is situated on top of a hill and getting there on foot with luggage wasn't great (budget traveller). I definitely would recommend uber-ing there despite its prime location to the city central, especially if you've got heavy or lots of luggage.
2) the walls are relatively thin and in the wee hours of the morning, I heard people running around the hallway and talking loudly which woke me up from my sleep (and I'm not a light sleeper). On another separate occasion, I also overheard a conversation from the next-door occupant, who was speaking loudly over the phone for over an hour. A little annoyed by the noise but otherwise everything else was a good experience!"

"The location is pretty good; it's within walking distance to the Central Station, although the uphill walk might be a bit tiring with heavy luggage. The front desk service was excellent, and the Hong Kong gentleman who helped us made communication very smooth. We stayed in an accessible twin room, which was quite spacious, but the showerhead in the bathroom was old and had tape wrapped around a damaged connection. Since we had an early flight the next morning and couldn't make breakfast, the front desk kindly provided us with packed milk and cereal. Overall, it offers good value for money!"

"Location was good, room wasnât very clean. There were clothing left from previous occupants. Tv didnât work for streaming. Carpet wand furniture were warn out and did have a nice clean feel. Staff were pretty nice but couldnât help solve issues I had raised. Over all give it 2.5 out of 5"

GGuest UserPublic transportation isn't very convenient, especially at night when returning to the hotel. Buses often run late, requiring a long, hilly hike. Daytime buses are available, but they're not very frequent. It's quite a distance up a hill from the central area, and quite far. The shower in the bathroom makes a strange mechanical noise when you turn it on, but having two sinks is a plus. The bed in the room had some black spots, but it was quite large. It's just a low floor, with no view or privacy from the window. The second floor faces a busy garage. The next morning, my credit card was inexplicably charged over $270, in addition to the $100 deposit. I emailed the manager, but there was no explanation, just an apology and a refund. It was very confusing.

GGuest UserGood size apartment though the kitchen is a bit on the smaller side. Was not serviced daily though staff were happy to provide refills. Good location. You have to pay extra for parking, which really should be included. There is only one lift, which was the most frustrating part - takes a long wait to go up or down.

GGuest UserThe Ridges is close to the city and the valley and surrounded by public transport. It's a little dated but for the price it has everything you need. Beds were comfortable, shower nice and warm and pool area nice. Would definitely stay again for the price.

XXIANGThe airport arrived at the hotel very late, did not inform the front desk, the front desk had rested. I played a lot of calls and pressed the doorbell a lot of time. A super kind uncle helped me check in. He said that the check in the next night should be informed in advance, people are super nice. The hotel has free indoor parking, plus points!

LLavinaGSuper friendly and accommodating service. We had to book lat minute, all details were sent through promptly. The apartment had everything you could need and a number to call if any issues. Loved there was a tv in the main bedroom of our 2brm apt. Will book again.
