"Asked for the quiet room. Got the room18 up the end of the corridor and also next to the road and also next to the emergency exit. Wasn't that quiet but was ok.

"Price: Around 200 AUD per night, including breakfast.
Facilities: Quite new, with smart features similar to other Australian hotels. The amenities match the price point. There's a free sauna, a gym (with a squat rack, dumbbells, kettlebells, various cardio equipment, and showers), and a swimming pool (water quality was good, but I didn't go in).
Cleanliness: Excellent, the bedding was also very clean.
Location: Close to Central Station, and the surrounding area feels very safe.
Service: Breakfast, which would normally cost over 30 AUD, is a buffet with everything you'd expect. You can also order eggs à la carte (regular ones are free, special ones cost a few extra AUD), which is a great deal. The amenity delivery and room service were also good."

"Pros: Excellent location, very friendly staff, and all the necessary amenities in the room.
Cons: The room is not well shaded so it is very bright in the morning, there are few parking spaces and they are far from the entrance, and I don't understand why there is a staircase at the back but it cannot be used."

"The Meriton Hotel's location isn't convenient at all. Walking back from the CBD means going through a park and then up a hill, which isn't a pleasant stroll.
Parking is a major drawback and a huge hassle. Street parking is only free after 7 PM, and during the day, it's an exorbitant AU$6.50 per hour. The hotel's own parking costs AU$25 per day, but the underground garage design is terrible – narrow ramps and numerous pillars make it very easy to scrape your car.
It's especially unsuitable for Chinese new drivers who are visiting Australia for the first time and driving right-hand drive cars to navigate the basement. Even the spots closest to the elevator are often empty because they require backing in.
If your car isn't fully insured, I strongly advise against parking here. Car repairs in Australia are incredibly expensive; even a minor scrape could cost more than your entire trip. This is definitely the biggest downside and the most unrecommended aspect of this hotel.
If you're looking to explore Brisbane city and want convenient transport and parking, there's absolutely no need to choose this hotel. You'd be much better off picking a hotel in the suburbs not far from the city, which will offer far better value and convenience."

"The hotel claimed to be close to the central station, but it's actually about a 10-minute walk, and you have to go up a steep hill, which isn't ideal if you have luggage. The room facilities are basic, with a kettle and a coffee machine. The bathroom is a bit small, and the shower water tends to leak out, so you need to be careful not to slip. The main elevator door downstairs seems to close around 8:00 PM, so guests returning later have to use the stairs, which is inconvenient if you're carrying bags. There's an underground parking lot, which is good for those traveling by car."

"The room was great, clean, service excellent, they let is check in early (2 hours) and check out late (1 hour) at no extra cost. Love the layout of the room, very well thought out and balcony view was amazing."

"The location is a major plus, very close to Central Station (within walking distance) and not far from the long-distance bus terminal (a $7-8 Didi ride). It's also quite convenient for shopping in the city.
The service was decent. There was a Chinese-speaking front desk staff during the day, though I'm not sure if they spoke Mandarin as we communicated entirely in English. In the evenings, the front desk was staffed by Indian colleagues, who were also good, just spoke a bit fast. Their attitude was very friendly.
Breakfast was a buffet, and the offerings varied slightly each day. Items were replenished fairly quickly, though the staff were quite busy, making communication not always easy.
Overall, it offers good value for money.
Toothbrushes and slippers were not provided, but toiletries were. For charging, only USB and Australian plugs were available.
Guests come from all over the world, with a good number from Taiwan and Korea. Hope this review helps!"

It dawned on me, what really sets a hotel above others, & I have concluded . . . genuine hospitality (with a special mention to Brody) whom epitomises genuine hospitality. After a long night of travel arriving late (due to unforeseen circumstances), Brody was so lovely. She felt more like an old friend than staff. She went above & beyond to meet our needs & sets this beautifully designed & artfully styled hotel apart from the others. The hotel offers beautiful all day little snacks such as freshly baked cookies, muffins, shortbread, and much more. ☺️

GGuest UserI was lucky to choose this hotel in Brisbane during the Christmas holiday. The suite has two large beds, a kitchen with a dishwasher, two sinks in the bathroom, separate wet and dry areas, and a beautiful swimming pool. The location is also good. There is a bus but the train requires more than ten minutes of walking up and down the hill, which is quite tiring.

GGuest UserThe room was a bit small. There were no toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers, and no hand soap. You had to use the shower gel in the bathroom to wash your hands, which was a bit inconvenient. It's a 20-minute walk to the city center, and it's close to Fortitude Station, where there's a big supermarket, but you need to be careful at night. There's also Chinatown and a shopping street nearby. If you walk to James Street, there are lovely boutiques and restaurants along that tree-lined street, which is very nice.

I only stayed one night but somehow they put ten black tea bags and ten coffee bags in my room ... I took it as the hotel's generosity

XXIANGThe airport arrived at the hotel very late, did not inform the front desk, the front desk had rested. I played a lot of calls and pressed the doorbell a lot of time. A super kind uncle helped me check in. He said that the check in the next night should be informed in advance, people are super nice. The hotel has free indoor parking, plus points!

GGuest UserCheck-in was smooth, but I requested a quiet room as I needed rest for a test, and was given a room right in front of the elevator. It was very noisy all night and I couldn’t sleep.
The room also had a connecting door to the next room, which could not be opened from my side but made me feel unsafe, as I was unsure if it could be opened from the other side. Overall, not a comfortable stay.
