"This is a beautiful hotel nestled within the Mile Dongfengyun Scenic Area. Stepping into the lobby, the ingeniously designed echo wall immediately catches your eye. I had booked a twin room, and the hotel thoughtfully upgraded me to a room with a private hot spring courtyard, where the iconic Kaleidoscope Art Center stands directly across the way. The room was very comfortable, with all amenities readily available. After exploring the scenic area, we enjoyed a fantastic meal at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. While the scenery had already impressed me, the restaurant's offerings elevated the overall experience even further. The architecture blends seamlessly with nature, creating a wonderful ambiance. I've truly fallen in love with this small city of Mile and have already secretly planned to visit again."

Plus, the environment is excellent, perfect for hanging out with friends. Most importantly, their service is exceptional; it feels very thoughtful and comfortable. "We chose Mile over Jianshui for a few days' relaxation primarily because we discovered the newly opened Holiday Inn there. Our five-day stay at the Holiday Inn exceeded our expectations. First off, this is a proper hotel, not one of those trendy simplified versions. What I mean is that its design and concept are genuinely geared towards providing guests with top-notch accommodation and service. The hotel boasts numerous public facilities: a bright and spacious lobby, an elegant little bar and lounge area, a kids' play corner, a starlit swimming pool, two hot spring pools with different temperatures, and a self-service laundry room. And then there's the restaurant – I absolutely have to mention it! The chef prepares a super rich breakfast every day, always with new surprises. I'm guessing the head chef is a master from Guangdong, though he told me he's from Yunnan. As for the rooms, they are large, clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed, sheets, and duvet are all high-quality. What truly reflects the hotel's quality are the in-room furnishings: the Holiday Inn has chosen truly comfortable chairs and sofas, the kind you can relax in while reading or listening to music. The most valuable asset of this hotel, however, is its entire staff. Every single person is friendly and polite, genuinely caring for each guest. A big thank you to Xiao Ji at the front desk, Nancy at the bar, KoKo at the restaurant, and the ever-present Gavin and Jennifer, along with their entire team. The hotel's location is opposite Honghe Water Village. We walked to Dahou Park every day for a stroll, visited nearby coffee shops, tried various restaurants, and after dinner, headed to Honghe Water Village to enjoy the bustling atmosphere. We are very much looking forward to staying at this hotel again next time. Highly recommend this excellent place."

At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This Mile hotel provides parking on site. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, our guests have told us that this location is excellent. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.
"Facilities: The hotel is divided into ABCDE blocks. Block A is by the water, Block C has a breakfast restaurant, and Block E is close to the hot springs. My child loves feeding fish and swans, so we chose Block A, which has a very comfortable Southeast Asian style. We could take the hotel shuttle to other areas, and it was always readily available, which was very convenient. However, if you book Block A during the rainy season, I recommend getting a room facing the outer lake. Otherwise, you might end up like us, initially in a corner room facing the inner lake, where water flooded in due to the terrain. As you can see in the pictures, avoid the corner rooms on both sides (the photos with sunlight); the outer lake rooms are the best choice (the photos without sunlight), as you can feed both fish and swans from there. Environment: The hotel is located right in the Lake Spring Ecological Park, a very comfortable and free large park with great ecology and not many people. If it weren't for the heavy rain, I would have truly loved it here. Breakfast: The restaurant is spacious, and the food selection is extensive – absolutely wonderful. Outside the breakfast restaurant is another lake with koi fish, swans, and even squirrels in the trees, which the kids adored. We later tried the à la carte menu at another restaurant, Swan Lake, which was also good, though the staff seemed a bit aloof. Service: We encountered heavy rain and our room getting flooded, so we had to switch rooms in the middle of the night. The staff helped us with the room change, and many employees were tirelessly pumping water and wiping down the corridors – they worked very hard. We also received complimentary fruit and snacks in our room. Out of the four hotels we stayed at, this was our child's favorite. It's a shame we couldn't experience the hot springs due to the rain. On a side note, my child and I were trapped by a downpour at Qianwang Gate in the middle of the night and sought help from the hotel, but they said no car could come to assist us. "This hotel stay was amazing! Initially, I was deliberating between this and other hotels inside the scenic area, but the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I had made the best decision. This is the kind of hotel I'd want to stay at for two nights. The lobby is exquisite, and the staff were incredibly warm and even helped me switch to the main building, which I preferred – a huge thank you! 🌹 The room was spacious, and the bedding was super comfortable. As someone with germophobia, I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and hygiene of the room. The quiet environment and surrounding forest views were incredibly therapeutic; I could take deep breaths and enjoy a true forest bath. Plus, there are 16 different hot spring pools with various functions. Going for a soak both nights and being able to see the stars was truly delightful. Getting to the scenic area was also convenient with dedicated shuttle service. The breakfast was diverse and delicious, and there were even various classes offered daily, though unfortunately, I didn't have time to participate. I would definitely love to come back and stay again next time! ❤️"

"During the Chinese New Year, most hotels significantly inflate their prices, but this hotel's rates didn't seem to surge too drastically in comparison. The staff here are all quite enthusiastic. We booked two rooms, and one of them wasn't ready when we checked in (this might have been a slip-up due to the overwhelming number of guests during CNY). However, the manager personally came to apologize and explain the situation. A nice touch is that the hotel provides complimentary fruit and milk daily. The location is also very convenient; there's a delicious braised chicken rice noodle snack shop right downstairs. It's a great spot for families with kids."

"Traveling in Yunnan with my kids for a week, we stayed at three hotels: Wyndham Grand, Naga.S, and Atour. Atour was by far our favorite! 👍👍 During this peak travel season, at the other two hotels, I had to wake up every night in the early hours to do laundry, because that was the only time I could find an available washing machine. Then I'd have to time it perfectly to get to the dryer. I barely got any sleep. I honestly thought all hotels were like this, until I got to Atour and found out their laundry room has staff who do it for you! You just drop off your clothes with your room number, and they wash, dry, and fold them, then deliver them to your room. That's absolutely amazing! Plus, the hotel's environment, cleanliness, and breakfast were all excellent. The other two hotels should really take some notes!"

"The hotel is located in the Lake Spring Resort, which is full of coconut trees. Entering the hotel feels like living in a forest park, with lush greenery and very quiet. The rooms are all villa-type, suitable for a family trip, with a swimming pool and a private hot spring bathing pool, and very private. The service is even more satisfactory. We took the initiative to contact and arrange early check-in, and the housekeeper responded immediately to any needs. After soaking in the hot spring in the afternoon, we immediately cleaned the room and the hot spring pool while we went out for dinner. We also prepared candles and rose petals for the evening hot spring bath, and there were also evening desserts. It was really a great experience. You can lie down comfortably without leaving the hotel. It is the hotel with the best service and facilities so far."

Великолепно! Интерьеру общественных зон этого отеля позавидует любой пятизвездочный отель. Хозяева очень гостеприимны и дружелюбны. При посещении Миле рекомендую останавливаться здесь. Добраться до живописных мест Дунфэн не составляет проблем, такси приезжает быстро и стоит недорого. Вечером хозяин провел дегустацию вин собственного производства, нам очень понравилось.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, particularly because of its quiet atmosphere and attention to detail. The room I stayed in featured an onsen-style bathtub combined with a shower area, and I appreciated that the hotel provided a bottle of sanitizing solution to enhance hygiene and guest comfort. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and well maintained. The hotel also offers self-service laundry facilities, including washing machines and dryers on the rooftop, which is very convenient for longer stays. Guests are also welcome to use the rooftop onsen pool, providing a relaxing experience after a day of sightseeing. Although the rooms do not come with a minibar, the hotel compensates by offering complimentary ice cream and additional bottled drinking water at the reception level. While the ice cream was not delicious, the extra refreshments were a thoughtful touch. It will be good if the hotel not to allow guests smoke in common area such as dining hall for breakfast. Overall, this hotel stands out for its peaceful environment, cleanliness, convenient access to food and park, and thoughtful amenities at very reasonable room rate. I would gladly stay here again.

This time, I stayed at the Venus Hotel with my child, and it was a fantastic experience! The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The hot spring area had many pools with excellent water quality; a soak there was incredibly relaxing. The swimming pool water was clear, and the environment was spacious and great for photos. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, and check-in was swift. My child loved the hotel. It’s definitely a top choice for a family vacation, and I'll choose to stay here again on my next holiday.

Room looks exactly like the advertised picture. Staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. As all the rooms are located on the 2nd floor and there is no lift or elevator, a male staff helps to carry our luggage to the room. Room is big and is near to almost all attractions. An unexpected perk was the bathroom heater light—a total game-changer after a shower. Downside: no lift / elevator. Breakfast is way too simple. A bowl of “mixian” & an egg will be served separately along with few items like steamed peanuts, mantou, sweet potato from the buffet area. No fridge in the room. Very quiet area at night. With minimal food and activities. There is one 7-11 in the park, with operating hours till 7pm.

The hotel is well positioned within the resort establishments of Dongfenyun. However, only those individual villa units have tubs for soaking. However, it is not ”hot springs” as advertised in the name. Not to be confused with the type of 'onsen' in Japan. . By booking this accommodation, we can access the attractions in Dongfengyun area without having to pay extra entry fees for Dongfengyun scenic area. Buggy transfers are provided by the hotel into Dongfengyun area. We like the simple and healthy breakfast, which is freshly prepared every morning. Mile is a quick getaway just 40 mins south of Kunming. Hence, there are many day trippers in Mile.

Facilities: Mainly focused on wisdom, but there is a switch that is not very sensitive. Cleanliness: Very good, and the large public space on the eighth floor is a surprise. Environment: The surroundings are very convenient, you can walk anywhere. But the second floor is a bit noisy. This was a wonderful surprise—this was my first time in Mile and the hotel was so affordable. It turned out to provide exceptional service. The room was big and bright, and just 20 meters away there were so many food choices. It was easy to take the bus to all the local sights. The reception staff were so kind in advising me on how to take the regional bus to Jianshui.
