This was my favorite hotel on our ten-day trip around Taihu Lake. It boasts an exquisite, secluded style, emphasizing a return to simplicity without the need for smart technology. There are no TVs in the rooms, and the curtains are all manual, with keyless entry. But every step was filled with breathtaking beauty. The service was exceptional. The housekeeper asked for our arrival time in advance. We parked in the parking lot and took the electric cart up the mountain. However, since my mother had mobility issues, the cart took us directly to the elevator and even assigned us the room closest to the elevator. The housekeepers were incredibly kind and friendly, smiling every time they greeted us. Since we were staying for several days, we decided to skip housekeeping, so we hung a sign saying ”no housekeeping required.” The housekeepers waited at the door until the housekeeper confirmed we needed towels changed and items replenished. They were incredibly attentive and responsible. The afternoon tea was exquisite, and every dessert was delicious. We didn't want to waste any, so we devoured all three desserts each day. The next day, we were too lazy to go downstairs to the restaurant, so the housekeeper even brought them to our room. The room also included tickets to the Yixing Ceramics Museum, which you could spend a whole day exploring. Besides the history of ceramics and collections from different dynasties, the room also boasts a beautiful museum. There are also numerous works and manuscripts by Gu Jingzhou, which are well worth a visit. However, the museum is quite old, and only one side has an elevator. Some sections require walking up and down stairs, making it difficult for those with mobility issues. During osmanthus season, the fragrance of osmanthus fills the air. Nearby, at the entrance to Longbei Mountain, there are dark-colored osmanthus trees, which are incredibly fragrant. Conversely, at the windy Tao Erchang, apart from the UCCA building and a handmade jewelry shop by an independent designer, everything else exudes an internet celebrity vibe and a cheap feel. It took me five minutes to explore. The only downside to the hotel is the small rooms. I think there are 17 rooms, averaging around 40 to 50 square meters, but it certainly didn't feel cramped. Even when the hotel is full, it's still quiet, perhaps influenced by the surroundings, preventing noise. I'll definitely be back.

Some rooms even include a private hot spring bath, instantly elevating the experience. 3. Attentive Service and Abundant Experiences • Excellent Service: From booking confirmation to check-in and check-out, the service team is warm, meticulous, and responsive. They provide personalized services to meet individual needs, making guests feel right at home. • Abundant Activities: The hotel offers a variety of activities, including tea ceremony, handicrafts (such as pottery), cycling, and hiking. The ”Secret Realm” exploration route, in particular, guides guests to discover the hidden beauty of the surrounding area and is very popular. • Family-Friendly: The hotel features a children's playground, play area, and family activities, making it an excellent choice for family trips. 4. Although the price is on the higher side, most reviews consider it well worth the cost for its environment, design, service, and overall experience. Some Tips: • Due to its natural setting, mosquito repellent is recommended in summer. • Some areas of the hotel may have many steps; those carrying large luggage or with mobility issues should contact the hotel in advance for assistance. • Due to its popularity, especially on holidays and weekends, early booking is advised. In summary, Yixing West Bank Huangchuan Hotel has become one of the most highly regarded high-end resort hotels in Yixing and even the Yangtze River Delta region, thanks to its secluded yet accessible location, artistic design, guest rooms with direct views of the mountains and water, meticulous service, and immersive natural experience.

Fantastic hotel! It made my visit to Yixing extra enjoyable. The room looks exactly like description and very clean. The staff from front desk to housekeeping are very friendly and helpful, makes your feel like home. The resort is huge but the drivers are always there to bring you around to other parts of the property. The bathroom is so clean and smells nice all the time. Beds and pillows are comfortable too. It is really one of the best hotel I have stayed in. Breakfast was delicious and the Chinese restaurant in the main hotel sets very high standard. What a lovely room to go back to after a long and tiring day from 竹海 and 瑶湖小镇. By the way, it’s easy to grab Didi from the resort.

The hotel is huge and impressive, with many young and enthusiastic staff. The room is spacious and excellent in every aspect! There are plenty of shuttle buses, and many tickets were provided, which made the kids incredibly happy! I must highly praise the hotel's outdoor swimming pool! We visited on a weekend in early September, and backstroking while looking at the blue sky and white clouds was simply amazing! The water temperature was perfect, not too cold nor too hot, and the kids absolutely loved it! You can also use the pool for free even after checking out! The weather was a bit hot during our two-day stay, but the clouds were incredibly beautiful and stunning!

I came to Yixing with friends for a weekend. I have brushed it on other platforms. Many people recommend this homestay. The style is very Japanese. It is the type we like. The result is really beautiful, the environment is very good, very quiet and comfortable, like a paradise, it is suitable for staying in the city for a long time, and it is necessary to slow down in a quiet atmosphere and relax. After booking, you will call in advance and pull the group to ask for the arrival time. Take a taxi to this homestay. When you get off the bus, there is a young lady who helps to pick up the luggage. Their home is a cafe + homestay. There are many seats in the store. Every corner is very beautiful. The homestay has four rooms. We have a twin room. It is very clean and Japanese-style tatami is very comfortable. It is very intimate. There are disposable bath towels and towels. A small suggestion can be put in a full-length mirror in the room to facilitate the guests to adjust their wear before going out The cafe and the outside environment are very suitable for taking pictures with friends. We also sent an afternoon tea package. We chose two drinks and a cake. The taste was very good. There was free healing in the evening. The time of the proprietress personally gave us the experience was about 30-40 minutes. The first time I tried it was very relaxing. After the end, I saw the beautiful sunset. It was really beautiful. The free breakfast on the second day was also the reception lady and we confirmed the time in advance. The taste was very good and very rich. Before leaving, we also sent us a basket of bayberry. It is said that it is the boss's own bayberry garden. Very feeling Thanks. Although I lived for a short night, the experience was very good. The little brothers and sisters in the store were responsive. They would introduce friends to come. I would come back to experience it after I had the opportunity.

The hotel has its own underground parking lot and a wedding banquet hall on the first floor. The hotel is soundproofed and had a good night's sleep in Yixing. The hotel has its own design and decoration style. There are four-star quality but some small shortcomings, the bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is separated, and there is a separate bathtub. But there is no wardrobe, there are hanging hangers instead, and the room layout is still a bit compact. The breakfast is a combination of Chinese and Western, the category is completely enough to eat, and the taste is good. I don't know why the hotel corridor and room have a milk smell 😂 haha

The front desk lady was quite welcoming and patient, but here are some complaints. On our first day, the hotel's cleanliness left much to be desired. First, the tea leaves from the previous guest were still in the teapot, still warm (though we didn't use them, leaving them on the coffee table was a bit unacceptable). Second, the cups in the room hadn't been cleaned, with obvious stains from the previous guest's coffee or tea still dried on the sides (we usually bring our own cups, but we inevitably used them, which was quite disconcerting). I thought they'd be checked and cleaned the next day, but they still weren't. After our two-day stay, the room wasn't even cleaned or replaced after cleaning on the second day. Luckily, we brought our own, otherwise it would have been embarrassing to find out there was no paper when we went to the bathroom. 😅 Since the hotel also caters to restaurants, leaving the windows open after check-in is not recommended. There's a restaurant next door, which is loud with music during the day and smells of cooking smoke. My personal recommendation is that if you're traveling by car to Yixing, choose a hotel close to the city center. Most scenic spots are in the suburbs, and you'll need to take a taxi or drive anyway. There's no need to choose a suburban location for a one-time visit. Eating out is also inconvenient, and you'll usually have to drive over 20 minutes to the city center. The city center is more convenient for those who travel back and forth.

Weird stay. They upgraded us to the best room on the top floor. Superb views. Then they told us the wrong time for the indoor pool closing. Leaflet said 9pm, they confirmed, then it closed at 5pm. After assertively reminding them what they had told us, they allowed us to swim. Their outdoor pool was closed for repairs, which had been a reason for staying. Later that night, two dudes were smoking outside our room - not good with a pregnant wife - so they moved us to the floor below to another room. Excellent value for money in terms of what's included but some parts of the jigsaw weren't in place.

Got downgraded and the downgrade was justified as an ”upgrade” ,I suggest the property clearly states that they do not accept black people on their property to avoid such interactions! . I booked a room on the 4th floor but the lady at the reception gave me a room on the second floor. I went downstairs again to confirm she gave me the wrong room providing pictures of the room I booked but she kept insisting that there are no such rooms on the property, she insisted they do not exist on the property and rooms on the 4th floor don't look nice. I insisted she put me on the 4th floor like my booking. All to find out she was lying. The rooms were much nicer! Spacious and with a beautiful view. I don't understand such behavior. Very disappointed!

A newly opened hotel in October, the price is very good. There were mosquitoes at night. After fighting mosquitoes all night, the hotel took the initiative to upgrade our room. Will stay here next time! Convenient transportation!
