Beyond imagination, it was so much fun, truly perfect for summer! My kids loved digging for hot springs by the river, and for the first time, they actually enjoyed soaking in them. It's a shame we didn't bring swimsuits and floats, otherwise, we could have had a water fight! Dinner was also good; although the variety wasn't huge, there was enough to eat. The service was excellent, and the hotel was very clean. The only minor complaint is that the dryer didn't quite get clothes completely dry even after half an hour, so I wasn't entirely satisfied with the dryer.

Nice sharing areas like pantry, living room, sink corners and bathrooms. There are 3 hot springs in which one is outdoor. Overall great experience. Whole hostel very thoughtful laid out and arranged. If arriving at night by car, it is quite dark after 8pm and shall allow more time. Check in closed at 8pm.

Very close to the station and Kumano Ancient Road entrance, the whole is relatively new, there is an elevator suitable for people who pull boxes, although it is a public toilet sink and bathing place, but the sanitary conditions are very good, provide Japanese breakfast and dinner, rich and delicious, very comfortable stay experience

Full of continental garden hotel. Simple design is good-looking. There is also a smart kitten explaining the stay in Cantonese. The room is clean and tidy as a whole. Outside the window facing the sea view. Parking is free. You can also book 30 minutes of private soup (free) Breakfast style is not much, but enough. Staff service is very good, kind and courteous. I also gave my son a small gift when I checked out. After we checked in, we went to the beach near the hotel to play until late at night. The room was lovely, with a Japanese style. I booked this guesthouse for two nights because I was planning to hike the Kumano Kodo Chuhero route. The owner was very welcoming and attentive. The guesthouse had onsen facilities and offered restaurant reservations, but I was too tired to eat after the hike. There was a bus stop right outside the guesthouse, making it convenient to go to Chikaro-oji, Kyogawa, and Oguchi.

On the Kumano Kodo (Kumano Kodo Trail), near the Kawayu stop, the onsen hotel I chose is right across from a natural river bath. The hotel offers free shovels so you can dig your own bath in the river. I recommend bringing a swimsuit. The hotel also has its own indoor and outdoor public onsen. I booked a room that included the outdoor bath. Staying only one night might be a bit too much. I booked a one-night, two-meal package. Without meals in the mountains, you'd probably only be able to eat instant noodles. The Kumano beef served here was excellent. There's also a dedicated bus stop at the entrance with direct buses to Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine and Shingu.

This is a very old hot spring hotel, all facilities have a sense of age, the most dynamic is the hotel staff, warm and thoughtful. Although the whole hotel is not in the center of the town, it is quiet and comfortable and clean. Every bath has a strong sulfur taste. Stayed for two consecutive days. The hotel staff was very friendly and could communicate in English. No matter what the problem was, they were very enthusiastic and tried their best to help you solve it. 1. There is a free shuttle bus to Hoshinmon Prince Shrine and Hongu Taisha Shrine every day. The room was very clean. The landlady was kind and could communicate in Chinese using a translation software. I ordered her breakfast for 800 yen and it was very comfortable. I didn’t know what to choose from the meal. I just ate what she made and I was very satisfied. This B&B can pick you up from the station. I don’t speak Japanese, so I can only walk there. When I left, she drove me to the station. I liked it very much! The bus runs twice a day, and it’s difficult to take a taxi. The pick-up and drop-off is very pleasant.
