Standing apart on a natural peninsula fringed by the sea, The Westin Dragonara Resort, Malta brings luxurious Mediterranean living to a vibrant, historic island. This waterfront hotel in Malta has an enviable beachside position and is accessed via a private gateway, inscribed with Virgil's thoughtful proverb, God made this gem for us. A reflection of Malta’s generous character lives through the way each guest is welcomed with easy-going charm and personalized attention. Our family resort features 413 rooms and suites which have been recently renovated. Landscaped around age-old artefacts, sunken gardens and impressive pools, our 5-star hotel in St Julian's, Malta, has stunning ocean views throughout. The villa-style lobby is naturally light where floor-to-ceiling windows and a sun-drenched terrace overlook the unspoiled coastline. A multi-generational favorite, it is equally appealing to both leisure and business visitors, supported by the team's approach to wellbeing, informed by the island’s rich culture.
"My husband and I chose this hotel because we trusted Marriott’s reputation, but our stay was shockingly bad. While the view was decent, the hotel itself felt outdated.
The worst part was the service. The Indian front desk staff treated us (Asian guests) with cold indifference, yet minutes later, smiled warmly at white guests. We booked an ocean-view room but were given a garden view instead. When we complained, they insisted it wasn’t a mistake, only after arguing did they ”upgrade” us to a two queen-bed ocean-view room (which was not what we wanted).
The front desk didn’t even bother explaining breakfast locations, facilities, or checkout time. Thankfully, we only stayed one night before switching to Hyatt. Westin, take notes from Hyatt, your guests deserve respect, not discrimination and incompetence."
