Columba Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality Reviews

The room is located next to the canal in the city center, but it is obviously an old house renovated. When checking in, you have to sign a lot of disclaimers and record your bank card password and other things with the clerk. It feels very unreliable. I don't recommend this hotel.

The hotel is situated on the beautiful River Ness, opposite the castle. The exterior is beautiful, but the interior facilities in the room are a bit simple. There is a one-way street in front of the hotel and parking is not allowed, but there is a paid parking lot 200 meters away.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The facilities are old and the rooms are average. The only advantage is that the service staff are very enthusiastic and the hotel is in a convenient location.

Good value for money

The hotel is old, living up to the local architecture, however its facilities are in perfect condition. I found a call! Very polite attendants. There is no private parking, but it didn't work. There is a public car park a few meters away which charges £5 per day.

Nice stay. On the outside the hotel is a bit tired. On the inside it's clean, tidy and the staff are very nice. Nothing too much effort.Parking close by at the Cathedral. Ring go parking £5.40 for 24hrs. Close to town centre, easy walking. Unfortunately the Castle is closed at the moment for refurbishment. Lots of eating pla es around.

Nice hotel and nice staff,Housekeeping a little let down towels left on bathroom floor as instructed to be replaced were uplifted but not replaced. Emptied bucket but left empty plastic bottle sitting next to bin.

Disappointed in the housekeeping.we left towels on bathroom floor as instructed to be changed still lying when we returned.empty bottle beside waste bucket not lifted.

A lovely old hotel ideally located on the river. Welcoming and helpful reception staff. Falsely advertised as having a car park/parking facilities when they in fact have nothing! Really nice historic building. Dirty old towels lying in the hallway. A dirty razor left in my hotel room. Otherwise reasonably clean. Every so often the noise of bottles being emptied into a bin heard!

The Hotel was easy to find , it’s located in the perfect location. However, my single room was not . It was very dusty ineficientes they dealt with as soon it was brought to their attention. The bathtub was not clean properly and there were cobwebs in the bathroom and in the room . Didn’t have the best view , a brick wall and the dustbins. The breakfast was plenty full, a buffet and dinner was great .

Excellent location for anything central. Staff are always superbly friendly and helpful. Convenient & efficient check ins/outs. Great functional rooms with high cleanliness standards that are great for short stays and very affordable. Wifi is good. Can't complain, I use this place a lot and it has never disappointed

Not a great option. Furniture in the room was bumped into each other. Heater was not working properly so it was a cold night for us. Could have been better

Old hotel with character but modernised tastefully. Everything you need was in the comfortable room and had a lovely view over the castle and river Ness.

Great location, good food in the restaurant. Even though is close to town it was still quiet
