Short friendly stop Easy to find, clean had everything I needed. Nice and peaceful.

@nd time staying there - great little guest house and would recommend.

The bedroom was well set out, comfortable and clean with nice decor. The inclusion of a fridge and microwave is great - perhaps a cloth and washingup liquid to clean the mugs may be an idea if they are not replaced each day? The ensuite was clean but the Shower unit is in need of some cosmetic tlc - the sealant is discoloured which spoils the overall view.

St Andrews Guesthouse Irvine Good Points: General area clean (stairwells etc), room carpets/floors, kitchenette and bedding clean and towels provided. TV system working well. Location good. Improvements: Remotely managed and had to continually make contact with management to get any information, eventually got texted a code for check in about an hour before, despite website saying email with info 24 hours before. Had left home and was travelling not knowing if we actually had any accommodation to go to or not. Some holes/cracks in walls, no shower gel/shampoo provided (most places at least have gel), no toilet roll holder so had to awkwardly hold it, bathroom badly needs looked at - shower tray and tiles mouldy and need a good scrub, black mould above shower, and all round inside of window. One plug socket wobbling off wall and lamps didn't work even after plugged in. Mattresses could do with being replaced also.

We booked for 3 night,s 4 day,s i had to ring the manager as there was no heating and bin,s not emptied he offered us a free night we got a small fan heater that we had to turn off after a few mins and it did not smell good so 3 night without heating iv never been to a guest house where the bedding were more creased before you even get into a bed we got no clean towels in our 4 day,s no bin,s emptied no cleaning i did it myself did not see anyone our key was in our room on arrival and you drop it in a box when you leave there is a microwave (no plates) and tea and coffee plus a kettle enough milk for 2 cups but nothing is topped up our last night was the worst as the people in the next foom had friend in and the noise was ridiculous shouting singing and banging doors could not wait to get home the next morning great location everything you need on the doorstep but would not go back sorry because we love Irvine

We had a party in Irvine and decided to stay overnight rather that drive back to Glasgow, so glad we did there was storm hitting the area. We had booked into the St Andrews Guest House, we have never been to an unattended property before and did not know what to expect all I can say St Andrews Guest House was spotless, well decorated and furnished. Beds were clean and comfy can not fault the premises in any way. We would certainly go back if in the area and need accommodation best £49 spent in a long time.
