Well what a great hotel. Perfect location and lovely staff. We just literally walked out of our hotel each day and so much was on the doorstep. The beds were comfy we both slept really well. Bathroom was great with a huge shower. We had a room overlooking the harbour with a nice balcony although it was too hot to sit on in the afternoon so we would go upstairs to the rooftop pool which was heated and a lovely blue colour and not green as mentioned in some other articles. The staff by the pool were most helpful and provided us with little snacks and gin and tonics galore whenever we requested them. There are plenty of sunbeds on the roof terraces so no need to rush to reserve a space as there is room for everyone. Breakfast was served from 7.30am to 10.30am and was cakes, pastries, fruit, cheese, ham and eggs coffee, juices etc. All fresh and lovely. Cannot recommend enough and would definitely come back.

We spent 4 nights here after touring Italy, it was very relaxing and just what we needed. Perfectly situated between the port and the castello, with lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance (or the frequent island buses if you don't like to stroll!). Staff were all very friendly and helpful, Laura was very attentive to guests. Breakfast (included) not a buffet, you select from options and they all come on the same plate. I ended up eating more than I would have from a buffet.... Pool was quiet and very warm, perfect. Our room had a great view of the castello - make sure you get that side, overlooking the pool. Rooms were fine, but a bit small, nowhere to stash our big suitcases. We did not use the roof top restaurant, too fancy for the kids, but we had the odd goody from the chef while enjoying a drink, so I would expect a fabulous meal!

Omg, what can I say?? Can’t speak highly enough of this Ischia icon, Grand hotel punta molino! From when we stepped out the ferry, promptly welcomed by the smart and smiling Ciro on the transfers, to Ciro the concierge( such a charismatic figure and so friendly!) and all the team at the reception , ladies and boys, ever smiling, helpful and knowledgeable. A mention to the GM Antonio Buono, what a gent, he’s a constant presence and reassurance to his team, at the point that the other day he was around the beach asking customers if they wanted any drinks ordered, what a humble guy, he always had a word with everybody by let you feel special, what a professional. Not forgetting all the lifeguards on the beach from the head Franco to all the rest of the team, the staff at the breakfast and the housekeepers, all amazing. Can’t wait to return again soon, 6 star holiday!!! Enzo and Kate

Very disappointed for the price we paid , Good - Waiters in the restaurant were very efficient, friendly , hard working and professional. Everywhere kept clean Massage relatively good Barbecue evening was the best food all week Bad - Lack of English spoken , lack of information on amenities, local areas , buses etc - the only English notice I saw read Totally Forbidden to fill water bottles up from water station ! Having to wear Swim Caps to use any of the pools , I have never heard of this before of travelling globally for the last 40 yrs ! Although filters in the pool were old and rusty ! Dated bedrooms with extremely small bathrooms and some balcony’s literally looking into bushes . Noise from the evening entertainment goes on up to midnight so we could hardly sleep Breakfast was ok but mainly a very large selection of cakes ( pity some of these couldn’t have been offered as the desserts for Evening Meal Evening Meal , although served to a high standard with trolleys and silver food domes ( abit over the top ) was very disappointing. The Salad bar was the worst I’ve ever seen in a hotel , it was very poor and not much of it either . Main meal was disappointing too and dessert you couldn’t help yourself but choose from 4 and when one ran out your choice got less . Some Reception staff not very helpful or welcoming on our arrival , requested an early morning call at 5am on our day of departure and we never got it ( good job we were up ) Others got Breakfast bags on an early morning check out but not us ! Would I return , definitely not !Or book through Voyage Privé , definitely not .

Firstly the staff are great so we don’t want the negatives here to impact them. Overall we were generally happy with the hotel which had a perfect location slightly up the hill from the main town but close enough to stroll in for some gelato or a drink after dinner. The decor in the rooms is dated (like 1960s) but if like us, you don’t plan to stay in them too long it’s not an issue. The issue we have in the room is the uncomfortable bed. We booked on a half board basis. Food was poor and let the place down - think nursing home food. Our advice would be save the money on half board and put it towards eating out each night. There is an abundance of nice restaurants and you can have a decent one course meal with glass of wine for less than €60 which is what they charged us for dinner at the hotel. As an example; Breakfast was buffet continental a few nice bits like fresh fruit and croissants. As for the dinner this was edible and authentic however a child could honestly cook better at home and therefore opted to eat out as we were on holiday and wanted to enjoy ourselves. The restaurant terrace was pretty but no music and no atmosphere. Food like wafer thin ham slices in mushroom sauce with carrots - followed by chocolate mouse with so much gelatine in it it was more like jelly - these are just examples. Couple more issues I hope that management look into; - there are no coffee/tea making facilities in room - a no no for Brits! - No non alcoholic drinks other than coke and Fanta for my pregnant wife. Crondino or something would have been nice. - Music in restaurant was poor random club tunes. With a very quiet atmosphere you would have been better playing traditional authentic Italian music. - You made us sit at the same table every night and we would have like the option to choose - for example perhaps a balcony seat! - The whole dinner process was a rush and lacked attentiveness such as the table situation. Everything geared to getting everyone in and out asap and we felt like cattle being fed.

We were as a family for two weeks on Ishia positive: - The hotel is located walking to the Citara beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. - The rooms are clean, clean and the cleaning crew is super. There is a air conditioning which is not the case in all hotels in this category. A room category better than the standard is worth taking because the rooms are much larger. - the restaurant is relatively inpersonal and you have to have happiness with the service power. Negative: - we were rarely so happy to have not booked half-pension. Even the breakfast buffet was unpleasant and seemed very cost-optimal. Cheap cutting and cheese, little to no fresh fruit, just fresh tomatoes as vegetables. Fresh juices were faults as well as vegan milk alternatives. It worked like a time trip to the 1970s. - as ancient was the bathing cap requirement in all pools. 🙈 In total, the hotel is mainly booked by Italian pensioners. So, finger away from it as a young family or when a modern environment and a balanced diet are important to one.
