Ragged Edge Resort & Marina

This place was amazing! The grounds are beautiful and it is right on the water. April made us feel right at home and gave us excellent suggestions on places to dine. The pool is beautiful and you are loaned beach towels when you arrive. The property was so relaxing I never wanted to leave. Looking so forward to our next visit!

Great property but could stand some upgrading

One of Islamorada’s best keep secrets and our new favorite resort. Tucked away behind a neighborhood Ragged Edge strikes the right combination or privacy and access. Their private harbor provided great dockage, with wash-down hose access and a great fish cleaning station. Boat launch is nearby the ramp is narrow and steep. I think boats with over a 8ft beam may have to come up with a plan B, but I would be shocked if Ragged Edge wasn’t prepared for that. The staff was friendly and helpful. Contact was maintained with us throughout our stay. Great fishing a lobstering nearby. A pool to finish your day. They also had Kayaks and paddleboards for guest use. You didn’t hear it from me, but I heard their were lobster right out front of the resort… We highly recommend Ragged Edge. We are already planning our next trip.

Great location, very clean, great pool and very affordable. Staff was very helpful and really enjoy the pool. Definitely a 5 star stay. Arrived on a Friday and left on Sunday, great location for South Florida residents. Great local pubs( hog heaven) within a short Uber ride

Really perfect location. The rooms had just been redone, front office was extremely helpful and accommodating. Excellent water views in all directions. My only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. Will definitely book this place for longer stays as it has full kitchen

Location was absolutely perfect! The resort is tucked away off the main road, Route 1, and then opens up to a beautiful ocean view. The room was clean and had the essentials and a great screened in sitting area overlooking the resort. Pool was fantastic. If you want a quiet, quaint spot to relax, then this is it! Also quick drive to numerous restaurants and stores.

The most perfect spot on the Key. Everything about our stay was lovely. Friendly staff and very informative. The cutest squirrels on property made us giggle! We had the best weekend. Definitely will be back. The room had everything we needed. The pool was kept up perfectly and the view was beautiful.

Edit (Aug 2024): This year we stayed in a 2bed/2bath room # 2 on the 2nd floor. It was fully renovated and was awesome! Finally found a place to start family/friends tradition fishing trip! We loved that it’s on a dead end street so you get away from the sound of traffic. Perfect marina to keep your boat safe from the wakes. No jet skis allowed. Friendly staff- Apryl is awesome and makes you feel like family. They have everything you need to cook with as far as pots/pan/utensils, honey that is made on site for sale in the office, as well as a library of books to grab and read while you relax by the pool (which even has a cooling feature & floats provided). There’s a tiki hut by the marina that they added in 2022 which is so nice to sit under! They have paddle boards, kayaks and bikes you can borrow. Things to note- *There’s not water entry on the sandy area so don’t expect a beach. It’s a sea wall which is pretty standard for the keys but they can give you a pass to go to founders park across the street where there is a beach. * The property next door has a cove-like area where an insane amount of seaweed and trash (sadly) from the ocean collect at low tide. And unfortunately seaweed always stinks at low tide in summertime. It’s not the resorts fault, but it would make a HUGE impact on the smell if something was done about it. I just suggest not staying in the building closest to it (bldg 2) if you’re sensitive to smells. *The Florida Keys has an Old Florida vibe in general. Most of the hotels here are older. Do not expect modern and you won’t be disappointed.

The Comfort of the Room was incredible! What I mean by this is to tell you just by opening the door, feeling the ceiling fan overhead on the beautifully freshly made and comfortable bed, ahhhhh. Walk into the clean and fresh bathroom, all the weight is off your shoulders and you're ready to enjoy all. Ragged Edge Resort has to offer!
