This is an excellent, small, family-style boutique hotel within a 4 minute-walk of the Blue Mosque. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. What impressed me the most was the staff communication before arrival. Front desk staff member, Nima answered all of my questions via email, helped with transport and site visits, and even organised a tour guide (who was very knowledgeable about Turkish history) to show us the key historical sites for two days. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were extremely attentive even cooking us omelettes to our personal tastes, and the view across the ocean while dining was amazing. Our bedroom, while not large, was spacious enough for two people, very clean and cosy with a home-style feel. There is a lift to all three residential levels. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room was suitably heated for winter in Turkey. I am a little biased as I like small friendly hotels with a sense of history, and in this respect, the Dersaadet was a perfect place to stay. In fact, we will stay here again next year.

Charming hotel with unbeatable rooftop views with complimentary breakfast buffet. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Great location with main sights in short walking distance. Front desk staff could not have been more accommodating for every single thing we needed. They went above and beyond to arrange tours and taxi rides. Their service was A+. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a semi-basement room, but... It was the best hotel! ! The staff were very kind and friendly and I never had a bad experience. The location is great, just a short walk to Hagia Sophia, but it's a bit local and quiet. Every breakfast is delicious at the rooftop restaurant, Moreover, it is the best in that area where you can see Hagia Sophia from the sea! Recommended for rabbits. It was a little cold during our stay, so we asked them to leave the heater in the Turkish Bath section on, so it was super comfortable with warm floor heating!

The hotel is in a great location, and is convenient for dining, visiting the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, the Old Palace and other attractions. It's about a five-minute walk from the beach. The hotel was built relatively early, in Ottoman style, and the facilities are a bit old.

The room is small and the price is high, but it is really close to the attractions

The location is very good! It is quite convenient to go to the Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern! The service of the hotel staff is very good and caring! The front desk even lent us a transportation card. We were very impressed by the beautiful view from the terrace restaurant! Will choose to stay in this hotel next time!

Very helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic location. Great view from rooftop terrace where we had really nice breakfast.

What we liked the most was that it felt authentic. The building itself is an Ottoman style building with lots of character. Inside has just as much character and charm. The staff were superb… all of them. Breakfast is on the terrace and is small and beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A super hotel. A charming hotel in a good location. Staff are excellent. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient. This is a far better hotel than the standard impersonal hotel of the same price.

We had a really lovely 3-night stay here in Istanbul. All the staff were really helpful and friendly and the hotel had a lovely atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and cocktails on the roof terrace. The hotel is also in a superb location near Sultanahmet Square and all the main sites. Highly recommended.

Very clean place, has a historic feel to it and super friendly/helpful people who work there! Second time staying there and planning to come back again. Great location, just steps away from Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.

Excellent location, and exceptional service by all staff. The hotel is extremely dated however, with run down furniture and very basic bathroom fixtures. You can hear your neighbors talking, and outside noise all night. 5 stars for the entire staff, but that is the only redeeming quality. Breakfast was very basic, and seemed stale on day 2 of our stay. Upcharge for juice, eggs and coffee, which was annoying. Location was excellent, but overall a 1* stay in my opinion.
