Arts Hotel Harbiye - Special Class

I have been going to this hotel for 4 years, but this time it was terrible. The description says that there is an iron in your room, but it turns out that there are 4 irons in the entire complex, bad business. After calling 3 times in 1 hour and 40 minutes to ask where my iron was, I walked angrily to the reception. They looked at me as if they were hatching from an egg. Only if you shout at the reception do things get resolved faster. Cleaning was a complete mess, they make your bed without knocking. Floors, furniture and the shower are so dirty and dusty that you can't walk on them with your bare feet. Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon the air conditioning did not work on the 7th floor where I stayed. I also had to call 20 times that I was melting in the meantime (30 degrees) and when it would finally be fixed. On Wednesday I had brought food from outside. It was said that eating outside food in the cafe/restaurant is forbidden and that the manager/director named Burak would see it via the camera and would get angry. When I said why the other table where 7 (I think Polish) people were sitting were allowed to eat outside food and alcohol in a coke bottle, it was said that they spent a higher amount. Then I had a short circuit in my head and I started shouting at the waiter that Mr. Burak should just come to me. What a load of nonsense, you are not allowed to discriminate between your guests with what they spend in the hotel. After staying there for a week, I vented my heart at the reception when I left. That Mr. Burak, instead of licking foreign guests, should be ready for his own people. I don't like discrimination to begin with, but this was totally action-reaction. In the past few years, apart from coming to this hotel myself, I have sent friends and family members to this hotel. I will never do that again! I sincerely wonder if Mr. Nafi (hotel owner, very sweet man) knows what is going on in his hotel. Only solution-oriented employee is Burak (Bellboy). Mr. Nafi, you can contact me if you want to know. We chose the hotel because it was close to the Istanbul congress center, but since it was also close to many points such as Taksim, Nişantaşı, Osmanbey metro station, we could easily reach everywhere. The reception and bar service staff need to be a little more attentive, unfortunately. It is never a good experience to hear unpleasant comments about a different customer while customers are eating, it would be healthy if the management paid attention to staff training in this regard. Also, it is not appropriate for the service sector to not produce a solution by saying there is no bread left in a restaurant that serves food.

Parking is 500 TL. The website says private parking, but it doesn't say the price. In fact, the hotel staff runs it, and the hotel takes the money, but they say the parking is private. There are parking lots around that cost 150 TL. But the hotel has turned this into an additional source of income. It is very difficult to reach the room given in the hotel. It is like a labyrinth. You can go up to the floor by changing two elevators. The rooms look out onto the windows of very nearby buildings. The pictures on the website have nothing to do with the room. Both the rooms and the access to the rooms are like a puzzle. Don't be fooled by looking at the pictures.

We kindly request you to provide more detailed information when choosing a room. Regarding the type of Ofa, the room we chose for our Zurich trip and our Istanbul trip were different from the room we went to. It would be better if more descriptive information is written during reservation.

The hotel has a very good location. It's easy to get a taxi at that time of day. The rooms are clean and modern. The price/performance ratio for Istanbul is top notch.

The location of the hotel is good. The staff were very nice. I did not eat there. My reservation was for sleeping only. The room size is rather small
