Room was very small and there is no proper parking spot at this place. Also, location is very poor for the tourist. Breakfast was not good and everything was cold.

This is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel, and each time I love it more and more. Ideal location, 7 minutes walk to the main attractions and the Grand Bazaar, and at the same time sufficiently far from the tourist streets, which evokes only positive emotions. Turning towards the hotel on the rafting streets, you feel relieved :)

The hotel room is clean and well located. Unfortunately, the breakfast was terrible and the selection was poor.

The hotel is in Sultanahmet, close to the main tourist attractions. It was clean and comfortable and offered a good breakfast. The hotel restaurant at the top has a lovely view and very friendly staff, while also being quite affordable. Service from the restaurant kitchen was exceedingly slow - even when the restaurant was empty it took ages for our food to arrive.

Great location but.... Appalling restaurant service, expensive drinks, stinking room, dated decor and curt, unresponsive reception staff. We stayed for an overnight and went up to the top floor to eat, we were looking forward to eating with a view of the city. We thought we were in luck but when we tried to sit at a table with a lovely view of Istanbul we were ushered away and told "Reserved". We were told to sit elsewhere. For the duration of our meal there were only one other couple in the restaurant (hardly surprising) and yet we were not allowed to sit in the area with the good view. "Food" was served with a snarl. Drinks were extortionately priced (£5 for a beer). Our room smelt of the sewer (the bathroom was the culprit) and was dated. There were no tea or coffee sachets, no cups and no kettle just 3 bottles of water in the fridge. The decor of the whole hotel is dated and a mismatch of various eras up to the 1990's. Getting anything from reception was a lengthy process. 4 stars if you consider a star a warning.

The Grand Yavuz Hotel is perfectly located, just ten minutes (uphill) walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia Mosque. We stayed there as part of the Turkish Airlines Free Hotel Stopover (TOURISTANBUL) offer and were not disappointed. In fact, we would recommend the hotel as a place to stay if booking in general. Istanbul's main airport is almost an hour away from the city so while it will take some time to reach the hotel, we found the rooms to be comfortable, clean and modern, and the location - perfect. The main reception area is a bit dated - but that doesn't affect service. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly and it's worthwhile to book your taxi from / to the airport via the hotel (pick up outside gate 8 arrivals, at IST airport).

I chose his hotel because I took advantage of the Turkish Airlines free stopover offer and this hotel had a really good location very close to a lot of the main tourist attractions in the Sultanahmet Golden Horn area, which made it easy for me to do as much sightseeing as possible in the short amount of time I had there. The rooms and hotel in general are a bit dated, it looks like no one has tried to change the decor for at least two or three decades but otherwise it was rather okay - I really just needed a place to rest for the night and I wasn't gonna spend all day in the little hotel room when I was determined to do plenty of sightseeing and shopping in beautiful Istanbul. There are also some fabulous places to eat nearby as well. The restaurant on the top floor had great views whilst the breakfast was adequate, though the coffee was very disappointing. It came out of a machine but tasted like instant. The staff were helpful but one of them was obviously angling for a tip when he helped me store my bags in the luggage room after I had checked out. The walls are actually quite thin so I hope you have very considerate neighbours but otherwise, it is what it is - as long as you go in there with realistic expectations and pick it for the excellent location rather than any other factor, this will probably be an okay experience for you. Tip: If you're new to Istanbul, make sure you plan your trip from the airport in advance with something like Google maps as the narrow streets of that neighbourhood can be rather hard to navigate if you're not familiar with them.

Hotel is located at the corner of a steep hill. Other than that, location is good - near to shops and walking distance to tourist attractions. Rooms are quite spacious and we had excellent views facing the sea. Breakfast buffet was acceptable and well coordinated. Not sure if suitable for wheelchair users or baby strollers as there were some steps from lobby to the elevators. Did not see any ramp or alternative route.
