Value for money is okay, I would recommend Roof Haliç Hotel

We chose the hotel for its location, because we spend more time walking than we are at the hotel. Yes, it is convenient to walk to the main attractions, and there is a steep terrace and in the evening it is just a gorgeous view. BUT the room is very worn out, everything is old and falling apart. Just lying on the bed, the leg broke, perhaps it was rotten. We didn’t even want to look under the bed, because it was scary: the whole room was covered in some kind of insects. They crawl everywhere: on the floor, on the bed, on the pillow!!! I really hope they're not, but by googling they look like bed bugs!!! It’s terrible, I didn’t want to touch anything again, not to mention sleeping there !! What is $30 per night? I wouldn't go back there for free! The staff is polite, the breakfasts are sooo meager and monotonous, I wouldn’t even call it a breakfast (cucumbers, tomatoes, 2 types of cheese, sausage, olives, a long loaf, a roll, jam, dried nutella, one kind of tea and coffee in a jar. And EVERYTHING!! ) We ended up eating in other places.

It looks like a hotel by the hour. The photos on booking do not correspond to the reality of the facts. The bathroom is 2m2, there is no shower cubicle making the facilities very uncomfortable. Electrical sockets are exposed to water. In one of the rooms the window looked onto a wall 15cm away. Upon arrival one of the rooms had dirty sheets. When requesting toilet paper, a roll that had already started was provided because it had run out throughout the hotel. Breakfast is served in the smelly basement. Non-existent staff.
