This is a great hotel and I recommend it to everyone! The condition of the room and bathroom was perfect, and the breakfast was good. It was very convenient to use! In particular, the friendliness of the staff left me with only good memories, so I'm sad to leave. I am so grateful to all the staff who treated me kindly and provided a lot of help until the moment I checked out. Next time I come to Istanbul, I will visit this place again. Teşekkürler, Baykal 😁👍🏻!!

Even though it was not listed as a precaution, we were refused accommodation as unmarried men and women were not allowed to stay. Therefore, there are not a few hotels with such rules, and other hotels clearly state so on Trip.com. I am very sorry that I would not have booked this hotel if it had been mentioned. Pre-marriage couples considering staying at this hotel should take note.

I was planning to stay at this hotel for 7 nights, but I ran away from there after a few hours. Dust, the window was broken, the window sill was dirty, mold on the curtains, mold in the bathroom, the view from the window causes fear, the overall quality of the room was extremely low. The room I was given and the communication with the representative of the hotel left negative memories. The money for the accommodation was not returned to me. Don’t choose this hotel👎

"DON'T STAY HERE" It was an awful experience. First they gave us a room which wasn't clean and there were somebody's clothes and wet towel there. When we told them, they said "It's ok, the guy left the hotel, but forget to pack the luggage."😶😶 After we didn't accept to stay in that room, they changed. But the new room was not clean well and in a week they didn't clean the room at all.

I stayed one night with a group of guys for an Erasmus project, in a highly inadvisable area, on the outskirts. Rooms without walk-in shower tray with a tap and flying microphone, impossible to wash. Very small sink, in short, an eyesore. If you plan to go to tourist places like the Galata Tower, don't try to go there on foot, we had to cross streets with terrible traffic, very dangerous, in short, not recommended.

I don't recommend this hotel to anyone because: zero availability, cleanliness is not treated well, full of dust everywhere and the rooms are not delivered already clean, for breakfast, lunch and dinner you have to pay extra, to finish it is in a remote area of Istanbul.

Hotel Baykal is an extremely safe hotel for those who want to stay in Istanbul. When you stay here, you will feel like a warm family environment! The staff working here is friendly and helpful! The location of this hotel is also very nice: very close to Eminönü and Fatihe! Therefore, this is a place worth staying for those visiting Istanbul.

The room was a quiet horror: a broken window with an unpleasant view, dust all over the room, mold on the curtain and in the bathroom, the bedding apparently just rinsed, but did not try to wash it. The hotel staff do not speak Russian or English, only an interpreter helps. They refused to replace the room, citing the fact that everything is busy. They agreed to clean up, but as a result, they simply wiped the visible surfaces. To my message that I was allergic to dust and mold, they answered me “no one died from this,” although I showed a document stating that just a week ago I had angioedema. Dirt is everywhere! There was no one at the reception when we checked in so we had to wait for someone to show up. When the employee approached, he did not greet, but immediately asked for a passport. In general, the service is at the level of "say thank you for paying attention to you at all." Look at the photo and think about whether it is worth paying for "this is a three-star hotel, it cannot be otherwise," according to the hotel staff. We left this hotel that day without staying overnight (by the way, they didn’t return any money), because it’s dangerous and expensive (an antihistamine drip costs about 11.5 thousand rubles) for health, choosing a 5 * hotel of a famous chain a little further away. Photos of the hotel and the real hotel are two different things.
