📍 Katip Mustafa Çelebi, Küçük Parmakkapı Sk. No: 13, Beyoglu, Istanbul
★★★ 8.6 (24 reviews)

"A terrible hostel. Everything is noisy: the furniture, the windows, the stairs—you can hear every step, a terrible creaking. The bed is on the second bunk; there are no outlets nearby, no curtain either—no way to block out the light. Towels are not provided. Guests come at all hours, and they didn't let me sleep all night: drunk, noisy, one after another. You can hear every word. The entrance is a complete circus. There's a "Call" sign on the hostel door. How can I call if there's no internet and no bell? I tried, but no one answered. A random girl let me in with her chip. I absolutely do not recommend it. A waste of money."

Weingart Seaside Hotel ★★★
"The location is fantastic, being close to the sea and conveniently located near the LRT station. My only minor complaint was having to take the stairs to my 4th-floor room since there was no elevator or escalator, but other than that, I had no issues!"

Crowne Plaza ISTANBUL - OLD CITY by IHG ★★★★★
"Highly recommend, better than expected! The lobby is grand and stylish, and the location is excellent, within walking distance to Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. The room facilities aren't modern, but they are well-maintained. The AC temperature control, shower water temperature, and pressure were all perfect. A special shout-out to Murat at the front desk for being polite and friendly; he managed to check us in without much delay (possibly due to it being the off-season). Every evening, the front desk would proactively call to ask if we needed any assistance or supplies, and when we requested more mineral water, housekeeping quickly delivered it. I also highly recommend including breakfast, otherwise, it's genuinely hard to find diverse breakfast options outside."

"We were really lucky with this hotel. The location is excellent, right opposite the Galataport, so you're at the sea in 2 minutes. There's a shop directly across the street and a bus stop 5 minutes away. The Galata Tower and Istiklal Street are just a 10-minute walk. We arrived early, at 8 AM, and were at the hotel by 10 AM. They checked us in immediately to room 507 on the 5th floor. Everything in the room was clean, and most importantly, the window overlooked the mosque. With the windows closed, you couldn't hear anything at all; the soundproofing was excellent. We slept wonderfully. The beds were comfortable, and so were the pillows. And, importantly, there were two extra blankets in the closet. The bathroom and shower were perfectly clean, and towels were changed daily. The staff were friendly; when we checked out, they gave us a map and explained how to get to the airport. I definitely recommend this place. As for breakfast, the sea view is a definite bonus. It was the same every day, but everything was fresh and tasty. The selection wasn't huge, but we liked it, especially compared to having to search for breakfast every morning."
