The only disadvantage of this hotel is that it is in a remote location. There is no convenience store nearby. You have to walk 2km to find a convenience store. However, it is highly recommended if you are traveling by car. You must make a reservation for the hotel restaurant in advance. There is no way to make a last-minute reservation.

When we explored the accommodations in Izu Kogen, we found that many of them were quite reasonably priced, probably because it was a villa area, and we stayed at this hotel with three generations of our family because it was reasonably priced for this area. The food was disappointing, and we thought the amount would be insufficient, but it was just right, and since it wasn't a buffet, we were able to eat in a relaxed atmosphere. The children's lunch was also quite luxurious and delicious. The interior of the building has a classical appearance, and you can see Mt. Fuji from the lobby, and there was a fountain show at night. If I had to say something, I would say that the hot spring building was a bit cold in the cold season because you have to go through the outside. The free popsicles got the kids excited. Overall, it was a satisfying hotel. If you register on LINE, you can get a bottle of juice. If you make a reservation on the website, you will receive a 1,000 yen discount on drinks.

I was interested in this inn because they offered a very reasonable plan during the COVID-19 pandemic. When I got the chance to go, the price was 28,600 yen per person for two people per room, depending on the room type and menu. I used a room with a free-flowing hot spring open-air bath. It included two meals: a kaiseki meal including grilled spiny lobster in its shell, beef teppanyaki, and boiled golden-eyed snapper, as well as a breakfast of spiny lobster miso soup and horse mackerel. The price has returned to its original price, and there has been a slight increase in price, so I thought it was a reasonable price based on the content. The facility itself is old but well-maintained, the room is spacious, and the open-air bath attached to the room was great for relaxing. The large public bath is alternated between men and women, and after the bath, you get a popsicle and a drink service in the lounge (wine is available at certain times of the day). The staff are generally very friendly. There is a shuttle from Kawana Station. Before COVID-19, I thought there were places like this where you could stay for around 20,000 yen per person, but I felt it was a little pricey. Was it because of the kaiseki dinner? Or was it because I've gotten used to hot spring trips? The taste was not bad, but it was average. The spiny lobster was small, but that's about right. The red snapper was the size of a fillet for a bento box. The staff asked about the lobster and red snapper, "How did it taste?", so I guess they must be proud of their delicacies. The foreign-looking restaurant staff worked hard, but it seemed like they were inexperienced. The worst thing was the smell of perfume, detergent, or fabric softener, which I thought was inappropriate for serving food. It would be difficult to do without a car in this villa area, but I think it would have been nice to have dinner outside.

It is located in a villa area around Lake Ippeki in Izu Kogen. The Western-style appearance, furniture, lighting, and other interior decorations are reminiscent of European mansions, and the atmosphere was unified and good. I stayed in a Japanese-style room in the villa building. There was a large semi-open-air bath in the room, and the water temperature was just right and comfortable ^_^ However, the mattress was thin and hard, like sleeping on a tatami mat, so if you usually sleep on a bed, a Western-style room may be better. We ate at the restaurant. Dinner was a kaiseki meal, with beef steak and boiled golden-eyed snapper, which were well seasoned, and the clam rice was also delicious. For breakfast, we enjoyed the taste of Izu, such as dried horse mackerel and miso soup with shrimp broth. In the pond in the courtyard, a fountain show was held in the evening and at night, and we could enjoy the fountain and gradation to the classical music, which became a very good memory. There was also a ping-pong table and a space for children to play, so it was a place that I would especially recommend for families with children.
