Although it’s an old hotel, it’s clean and offers good service. Close to public transportation. Everyone from the hotel is helpful and can speak english except for the man from the reception I spoke with when leaving the hotel (his English is poorer than the rest). I trusted the hotel and asked him to call a taxi for airport. He told me it’s safe to use the taxi company that works with the hotel. Unfortunately, the taxi driver still took the longer route just to make more money from tourists. What a shame! The hotel should have taken better care of its guests.

An excellent solution for the money. In the most convenient location for exploring Izmir There is a fashionable quarter nearby, and across the boulevard there is a historic shopping market.

I was very comfortable, the only problem was ironing. A new iron and ironing board should be purchased.

1. Originated in 1958, at a relatively obvious intersection. 2. The decoration style is European and classical, with many hanging paintings and an old-fashioned sewing machine from China. 3. You can see the tram through the window. 4. The rooms facing the street will not be too quiet at night. 5. The room is clean, tidy and comfortable. But the smoke detector keeps blinking, which I don't like.

***The fact that it is in a good location and that the staff is friendly is an important factor that makes me choose this place most of the time.

Good location, but a bit noisy

The location is good, the room size is OK, and the price/performance ratio is relatively high!

5 minutes to Izmir Beach. Only snot in the room. shine.

This is a beautiful traditional Turkish hotel and I loved the culture behind this hotel. I stayed here one night after a hospital visit and the staff were lovely, bed was amazing. The only down fall was that they let floor 3/4 smoke and that travels into the non smoking rooms and the rooms were beginning to smell

I really loved the hotel it was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Egehan was incredibly helpful and polite. He made us feel welcomed and was very approachable. The cleaner was also wonderful. However, the waiter was very tactile, made us feel uncomfortable and accused me and many patrons of not paying for our drinks. He then charged us for drinks that we didn't have which then he became aggressive when we questioned this issue and called us a liar. Lesley Cole

As a solo traveller recovering from an operation, I thought the hotel was really lovely with very helpful staff. Great location and a very comfortable nights sleep. The breakfast selection is great and room service menu is extensive. Would highly recommend.

friendly staff who always try to help. excellent room service that. excellent location. I strongly recommend the hotel! I was after surgery and the staff was very kind and they helped me with everything. The hotel has a very nice restaurant and also a bar.

Love this hotel. It was my second visit and by chance got the same room as last time which was a lovely corner room. The hotel is very historic and beautiful. But for me it is the staff that makes it really special. The hospitality is above and beyond and I was really grateful for their care and thoughtfulness. I would definitely recommend staying here!

All perfect, a hotel with character and most helpful staff. Only need to work on environmental footprint (like polices for reducing towel washing, recycling bins ect.)
