This is the classic old roadway motel. Very quaint and old fashioned. This is not your high end expensive hotel! This is clean,comfortable and perfect for the trip to see the covered bridge and the White mountains The sweet lady that runs the place was so friendly and helpful Our room overlooked the river and is in easy walking distance to the honeymoon bridge and the Red Fox Restaurant.

Just checked out this morning from a terrific stay at this "home away from home-feeling" lodge. My wife, kids and I had stayed close to a week, and received the most welcoming care and accommodations. The owners are sooo friendly and hospitable and work super hard to accommodate all the guests needs. After skiing day after day for almost a week, this place felt incredibly homey and the perfect place to relax after a long, fun day ...and the location is just perfect! The owners also took the time to talk to us throughout our stay about how our vacation is going, which was super thoughtful and kind :) AMAZING STAY!!!

I read a lot of bad stuff about this place. I was impressed the room was vintage and very clean. Bathroom was spotless. It was quiet. The older woman who helped us was friendly and helpful. I will be staying here again.

Stay away! Owner went crazy about our dogs (advertises “dog friendly”) Threatened and assaulted us after we asked for a refund for remaining nights. Recommend you search this property and owner thoroughly. Best advice though is to stay away. We wish we had. Posting this to help others.

Let me start by saying that I love older hotels, but this one hasn’t ever been updated and it’s not clean. Both chairs in the room where so stained that we were afraid to sit down. There is a 2nd door at the back of the room that leads to a hall and other rooms. This door is hollow, like a closet door, easily broken into and definitely not safe. The owner was unreasonable and rude. She told us we should have come and inspected the room before we made the reservation. Who does that? She also said that she isn’t responsible for customer satisfaction and that she herself has no expectations when she travels. That’s obvious. We, on the other hand require a secure, clean room and nice staff when we travel. That’s a minimum requirement for us. Don’t book this place. It’s a bait and switch and she requires all money up front that she refuses to return. I wouldn’t stay there if she paid me. Also, it looks nothing like the photos on line.

Look at these responses to my review on Google Maps. I was going to write an essay about how terrible of a person she is but she did a way better job than I ever could. The terrible stay was one thing, but stealing from my rent deposit, lying about it, and getting personal in responses to reviews is another. She should legally not be allowed to be in customer service.

Horrible experience dealing with the manager. Irrational, crazy, insane. Do NOT book here. We only spoke with this lady for a few moments and she has zero hospitality skills. She intentionally makes up drama. She stole our money! Horrible experience.
