Motel 6 Jackson, TN

In my experience, this motel is average, but that's ok and the rate was good for the location. Check-in was partially done away from the front desk, a little unusual but nothing bad happened-no weird charges on my credit card or anything. We require a pet friendly room with 2 beds on ground floor because of disability. They had that availability. We prefer a park at your door room but this property only has inside corridor which was still acceptable because it wasn't too far from the main entrance. The rooms were nice and clean, beds were comfortable with modern amenities. The bathroom was huge compared to most. with plenty of linens. Front desk employees were nice in my opinion, although there were a couple of guests that seemed to have issues. Rooms are all no smoking but they do have a good little smoking area just outside the back of the entry. It looks like it may have once had a pool but was turned into an area with patio tables and chairs. It was night when we stayed but it looked like there was also a large grill at the back. Overall a good place to spend the night, a little hard to see because there is another motel in front of it. If I go back through I would stay again if I couldn't find a comparable place that didn't have park at the door. I definitely recommend it, worth the money.

Cons: very basic (no coffee maker, no tv guide); kiosk checkin, which was frustrating; extremely grim rooms, shower not clean, fuzzy tv; hard to find — was behind the Jackson Convention Hotel. Pros: except for the shower, very clean; newer furnishings; an actual person helped me with checkin (friendly); a/c adequate; cheap I’ll pay 20 bucks more for a different hotel next time.

Place is a scam. They overcharged me $40 (check your bank account), they tried to charge me $20 for my dogs though their sign says pets are free and it was on my booking. The place is under construction with open wires and electric outlets. No front desk just a kiosk to India. Ice machine busted. Broken fridge with black mold, hair in shower. Lots of polite in the parking lot.

My room was next to the ice maker on the first floor. My room was slowly falling apart in the upper corners, the door had to be turned at just the right angle or you couldn’t get in with the key card. The bed was a worn out spring mattress. Every morning there some one yelling or calling out to people down the hall. If you are looking for a quiet stay, this probably isn’t the one for you. On the plus side, no bugs and the bathroom was the best looking room with nice brown tile and white curtains.

Awesome staff

First one side is Jackson General nicer side then go to back of building it’s Motel 6. Yes been remodeled but still isn’t great. Couldn’t find reservation. So loud outside people hanging in and out more likely homeless , women harassing men. Then room is new paint one side other dirty white. Bathroom roach bug first thing on floor crawling. Walks have mildew on sides. New sink doesn’t hide fact your walls are mildew and mildew above shower. Tv wasn’t even smart Tv older. And lines completely through it the whole time. Carpets nasty. Pillows flat. Towel in bathroom brown from stain. Furniture in room dingy . Fridge nasty. Be warned !!!

Hotel staff is great

Just plain filthy. Mold in the shower so we didn’t even use it.

The place was awful. Lots of crack heads around bldg. Room had roaches in it. Sheets on 1 bed had blood stains on them. Plumbing was awful and they were running a jackhammer or something inside at 6am. Was not a place anyone would feel safe and was very secluded and dark in parking area. Had to park off property to feel vehicle was safe from damage or theft
