This little gem is one of the most amazing bnb’s I have ever stayed at. Very calming decor, no tv’s to be found, plenty of books to read accompanied by plenty of cozy nooks to read them, delicious breakfast spread (especially the farm fresh eggs, yogurt/fruit parfaits and yummy local sourdough bread) and very comfortable beds. The owners and staff are all a delight and the entire place is immaculately clean. It is only a 4 block walk to the quaint little downtown which has adorable shops and restaurants. I will be returning as soon as I can!

Stayed two nights. The location was great and the hotel was very clean. Our room very minimal and a little cramped. The bed needs to be upgraded, small bed. But again, very clean and quiet and ease of help yourself breakfast. Air conditioning was good and storage of items in provided refrigerators was a nice touch.

How My Reviews Work 5 Stars - Best ever on all experiences. 4 Stars - Best In the area. 3 Stars - Above Average. 2 Stars - Average or maybe a little lower. 1 Star - Below Average. 0 Stars - Terrible to even gross. *Understand this is an individual experience and that doesn’t mean everyone will share the same experiences. We also all have different tastes in what we want and what we taste. When: My wife and I visited in July. Note this is advertised as a hotel, but is what I would call a B&B. Note we stayed in room 204. Area: This is in Jacksonville, a small tourist town. Not a lot to do here except look into shops. Check-In: We arrived right at the time of check in. We were greeted by a friendly hostess. We were shown all the amenities and then to our room. (4 Stars) First impression of room: The room is extremely small. But it was clean. (3 Stars) View From Room: The view is of a porch where you have a table for visitors to sit and enjoy breakfast or coffee. Not what I would consider ideal having a table right next to your window, but due to it being so loud we woke up early anyway, so we never had anyone sitting there. (1 Star) Cleanliness: The room was extremely clean and all the common areas were also. (4.5 Stars) Amenities: Coffee available 24 - 7 (4 stars) Games & Books 24 - 7 (4 stars) Ice 24 - 7 (4 stars) Sitting areas inside & out (4 Stars) Great wifi Strength (4 Stars) Morning Breakfast - Is available, but limited and had some sanitary concerns of people sticking their hand in the bread bag. Also, neither my wife or I were impressed with the selection or taste. (1 Star) Access coding is great for entry. (4 Stars) Had plugs on one side of the bed, but not the other. (1 Star) No TV. Hotels usually have TVs. Another reason this is more a B&B and not a Hotel. (0 Stars) Bathroom: Nice size and shower was OK. (2.5 Stars) Bed & Sleeping Bed is great (4 Stars) Sleeping terribly - It is loud and people don't obey quiet time. They provided a noise machine which didn’t help. (0 stars) Value: One night we paid $230. I cannot say we got our value, due to the lack of sleep that we got. Also, it would have been a nice touch to have snacks out. (2 Stars) Average Score: 2.8 Although the score is above average, we would not come back, just for the fact of lack of good sleep. People who like B&B’s may enjoy this.

I booked a night for my parent’s 56th anniversary. The management was amazing in helping iron out logistics to make their trip special. My mom called immediately to tell me how amazing and beautiful it was and then again in the morning to tell me how relaxing, clean, and comfortable the room was. They had a wonderful stay. Quiet, low key, and perfect in every way.

Quiet, stylish B & B within walking distance to town. Comfortable & good service. No TV if that’s important. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was a good way to start the day. Choice of coffees too when in town, visit Red Lily vineyard and eat at Belle Union. Super food and reasonable.

Loved the Magnolia! Beautiful grounds, tastefully stylish and very comfortable hotel. Feels homey but nicer. Wine glasses and coffee mugs etc. are lovely. We had a twin room and it was comfy. Beautiful seating options inside and out. True no elevator or tv but great library and easy parking right out the door. Loved it.

This was our first experience with a B & B in the USA. Though the name says Hotel, it is really a B & B. Our room was small but pleasant. There is no closet. Our hanging clothes were put in the bathroom as was the suitcase. There were 2 drawbacks to room 204. It backs up to the breakfast area. If people got early coffee, you could hear the buzz from the commercial Keurig they use (and sometimes low conversations). Also, the windows open to a balcony that can be used by everyone. That would be fine, except it was also accessible by anyone walking by as there are steps going up. This meant we couldn't leave our windows open. The whole building is air conditioned, including the bedrooms. However, for some reason, it shuts off at night. Our windows opened to a very busy street (in addition to the other issues I mentioned), and the room got very hot and stuffy in the middle of the night. There was a Dyson something in the room. It's not an air conditioner but fan/dehumidifier, I think. There were no instructions, and I struggled with it. Breakfast was all serve yourself - toast, yogurt, fresh fruit, granola, coffee, and tea.

We were visiting family who live in Ashland and Phoenix areas and Jacksonville was a perfect location for that. The hotel was super nice and the staff very accommodating. We stayed for 5 nights before leaving for a riverboat cruise on the Columbia and Snake rivers which we are about to embark. Overall I would recommend the Magnolia hotel to anyone looking for a nice quiet place and town in Oregon to stay.

We have stayed in Jacksonville before, but this is our first time staying at the beautiful Magnolia Inn. It's so charming, cozy, and comfortable! The decor is top-notch. Great location to everything. Jeff provided us with excellent communication, fast responses, and caring. Nancy is a very kind and gracious hostess! Thank you both! Every time my husband has an eye appointment in Medford, we stay in Jacksonville. It's only a 15-minute drive, and you get to stay in a much quieter, peaceful area with the feel of stepping back in time. We love it!
